Luxury Top Floor Apartments

The Ciel Bleu Buffa apartments occupy the whole of the top floor of a beautiful building in the exclusive Carre d’Or (Golden Square) area of Nice.

The location is superb being just 100 metres from the sea and within a short walk of all the main tourist sites. Additionally there are countless fantastic restaurants and cafes on the doorstep and the train station is less than 10 minutes walk.

There is a 55 square metre 1 bedroom apartment and a 60 square metre 2 bedroom apartment. Also, uniquely, there are sound proofed double doors between the two apartments meaning for larger groups they can be opened to provide 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Therefore the apartments can provide accommodation for group sizes from one to seven people.

Both apartments have access to the full wrap-around balcony.

Large double bedroom with a King Size double bed (160x200) and large fitted wardrobe. Twin bedroom with 2 single beds (90x190).

Shower room with walk-in rain shower and luxurious limestone tiles.

Additionally the apartment has full reversible air-conditioning, parquet floors and double-glazing throughout.

The living room has access to the balcony. With full-length patio doors and high ceilings in each room the light is fantastic as are the far-reaching rooftop and mountain views.

The adjoining doors between the 2 apartments are between the living rooms in the centre. This means that both of the living rooms and kitchens are in the middle with bedrooms and bathrooms at either end. This works very well for large groups who want to be together but still maintain a certain amount of privacy.

Please note that the apartments are situated on the 5th floor of the building and there isn’t a lift. The stairs are wide and not at all steep and there is a banister. We think it is well worth the walk but we do appreciate that apartments may be unsuitable for some guests needing easy access.

Note that our apartment manager meets all guests on arrival and can help with taking luggage up the stairs if needed.

We strive to make our properties the highest quality holiday rental accommodation on the Cote d'Azur.

Why Mike chose Nice

The apartments on Rue de La Buffa have been recently renovated.

The apartments are situated less than 100 metres from the sea in the exclusive Carre d'Or area. The location provides the perfect compromise between being in the thick of the action and also being in a relatively quiet residential building.

As well as the highest quality fixtures and fittings the thing that really makes these apartments stand out is the fantastic roof-top and mountain views.

All the rooms have full length patio doors which makes the light absolutely fantastic.

There is also a wrap around balcony running the full length of both apartments which provides the vital outdoor space for relaxing.

Notes

Booking Notes:
For bookings made well in advance a 25% deposit is payable to secure the reservation with the balance due 45 days before the start of your holiday.
Payment is made by bank transfer in EUR or by credit card through the OwnersDirect site.
For bookings made within 45 days the full amount will be payable to secure the reservation.
A €300 security deposit (or £ equivalent) is payable either in advance with the booking fee or in cash on arrival on arrival.

Check-in time is 3pm-6pm. Check-out is between 10am and midday.
We can provide a late check-in but an additional fee is payable. For check-in between 6pm and 9pm the amount is 30 Euro, for check-in after 9pm the amount is 40 Euro

Notes on prices:
We have a 4 night minimum stay. Dependant on availability we may consider shorter stays but the daily price will be higher.
For 3 person occupancy in Ciel Bleu 1 there will be an additional charge of EUR 20 per night.

The apartment was perfectly situated for everything in Nice. The apartment was clean throughout and perfect for our break. The stairs did not bother us but no lift !

WELL EQUIPPED APARTMENT IN A GREAT LOCATION

Having stayed in many apartments and hotels in Nice over the years, this property ranks amongst the best.

Arrival was quick and easy, we were greeted by Magdalena who was very welcoming and helpful. The location is superb, only a couple streets back from the promenade, ten mins walk from the train station, many resturantants and eateries on the doorstep, and a handy little Carrefour mini mart just around the corner.

The apartment was beautifully well equipped and clean. Good size and layout, with a living room, kitchen, large bathroom and shower, seperate toilet and a bedroom, all connected to the wrap around balcony which catches the sunshine in the early morning, and late afteroon/evening.

Apple TV and Netflix were a welcome bonus.

All in all, excellent value for money. Will be staying here again on our return to Nice.

Great Location

Due to last minute schedule changes, I actually rented the 2 bedroom rather than the 1 bedroom. Rental was in a great location, only 2 blocks from the promenade and a 10 minute walk to the old town.

The apartment was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We used only the queen bedroom. The second room was extremely tight between the 2 single beds and the walls! A couple would have a hard time fitting in there and definitely no space for luggage.

I would describe the apartment as comfortable, definitely not luxurious! But location is perfect!

functional with nice kitchen and bath

We enjoyed the flat however I would not classify it as luxury. The space was very adequate with a lovely kitchen and bathroom. Lots of space and good lighting. The balcony is fairly tight but you could sit out and enjoy a glass of wine. The noise from the road below during the day and early evening was fairly constant. Late evening traffic noise was non -existent. However, if someone is renting the next flat you can hear everything when in the tv room. We had a gentlemen next door that continued to clear his throat while we were watching a film. Bedroom however is at the end of the building and very quiet. TV room fabric sofa and throw pillows are in dire need of a good cleaning. The walls need some TLC - lots of scuff marks from previous renters. The bedroom is reminiscent of a dorm room - very minimal but functional. Walls a bit dirty, fabric headboard was stained and bed linens were scratchy. Only a bottom sheet and comforter - no top sheet. Two small hard pillows. No plugs to utilize for charging phones in bedroom. Good AC/Heat in bedroom and tv room. Bathroom had a great shower. Water closet walls needed a good scrub down or re-paint. Kitchen had all the appliances needed but no paper products were provided. We had 3/4 roll of toilet paper and that was it. No paper towels, tissue, or hand soap for bathroom. I think with a little TLC (paint), linen and pillow upgrade, get rid of the fabric headboard and steam clean the fabric couch, provide a starter set with one roll of toilet paper, roll of paper towels and hand soap - this could truly be a very inviting rental.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We appreciate all feedback both positive and negative. Your review is the first one we have had in over 4 years which has not been 4 or 5 stars so we take your comments very seriously. In terms of noise; the only place where there is any noise from next door is the TV room. We have double doors between the apartments & thick walls but we cannot reduce the noise to zero. Obviously we can do nothing about somebody loudly clearing his throat! The apartment has full double-glazing and as you say “the noise in the evening is non-existent & the bedroom is very quiet. “ Considering that Nice is a large city, once the windows are closed, the apartment is very quiet. We dry-clean the sofa & cushion covers every 3 months & we touch up the paintwork every season. Also, we completely re-paint every 2 years. We still find it is almost impossible to keep everything in perfect condition all the time. For the small wc I agree that it does need re-painting. In fact we have decided that we will re-paint the entire apartment within the next week (6th June). I think to say that the bedroom is “reminiscent of a dorm room” is very unfair. It does not have lots of personalised items and yes it is functional, but it is unlike any dorm room I have ever seen! We provide quality Egyptian cotton bed linen. I have no idea why you found it to be scratchy. This is the first time we have had that feedback. If you had mentioned this during your stay we would have changed the linen immediately. We provide a bottom sheet, comforter and a duvet. If guests require any more sheets or additional pillows then a call or e-mail is all that is needed. For the headboard, I agree that it is time for it to be changed so we will be replacing the bed this week. In the bedroom there are sockets on either side of the bed (but no EU/UK adaptors). We do provide a welcome pack. This should include two rolls of toilet paper (at least), hand soap, tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine and tea and coffee. If any of these items were missing then I apologise. We own 5 apartments in Nice and we try hard to maintain our properties to the highest standards realistically possible. We try to keep our pricing competitive which means we can never reach the levels of a luxury hotel but we think that our apartments are a very good standard and that is nearly always the feedback we receive. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Rgds, Mike

Great apartment

Had a great time in Nice. Stayed for 3 nights in the apartment which was comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in a great location - easy walk to the beach, train station, restaurants, attractions and the old town.

Mike was really helpful before we went and also during our stay. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
