White Stile - Unit 2 (3 bedroom unit)

As you enter the lounge you are greeted by beautiful wood block flooring, beams and an open working fire, along with a wonderfully mellow feel. An oak table, eye-catching original fire place and complimenting décor add individuality and style to the spacious dining area. The well equipped kitchen combines traditional Cornish cottage aspects with modern lighting and appliances. There is a second lounge with gorgeous wood burning stove, space saving staircase to bedroom 3.

Upstairs: a family bathroom, 3 bedrooms, one double, the second has a "zip and link" bed which can be presented as twin beds or a super king bed, there is also space for a cot. Bedroom 3 has a double bed with en-suite bathroom.

In both lounges the sofas are sofa beds which accomodate additional guests.

Outside is a lovely patio, large garden, parking and storage for surfboards, bikes etc.

Situated in a lovely rural location yet close to the sandy beaches of both the north and south coast, the closest beach, Hayle, is 5 miles away and a favourite for surfing, water sports, etc. Its also convenient for popular areas such as St. Ives, Penzance, Lands End and the Lizard. There are many local gardens, attractions and coastal walks. White Stile has a large, beautiful garden in which to relax, with: a large lawn, lovely planting and several quiet benches to read a book or have a glass of wine. We have had many guests who have returned in following years and although we have not started do ask for online reviews we have a guest book which is full of really positive feedback.

About Jennifer Nolan

We moved here in 2005, love this cottage, love the location and love Cornwall. It took a while to sort out the land such as building the stables and sand school. The climate gives us the opportunity to grow semi exotic plants like phormiums, echiums and agapanthus (my favourite).

We hope you will enjoy the house, garden and local beaches etc as much as we have.

We moved to White Stile in 2005, we have had some great times here with family, friends and horses, ranging from meals, beach days, picnics, barbecues and horsey days. It's a great location with easy access to the best beaches, gardens and the interesting local mining history. We even dragged my 80 yr old Mum and 14 yr old niece down a mine and had a great day out! Its too big for us now and wanted other visitors to enjoy the cottage and garden. When the weather is good you can't beat the beaches, they compare with the Med. Even if the weather is not too good it is always warmer than the rest of the UK and there is always something to do out and about or just sit in front of the open fire and play games, read or just chill.

The cottage is a quiet and peaceful escape to the country whilst close to fantastic beaches and local attractions. Cornwall has a rich and varied history, the cultural attractions of the Tate, St. Ives, local artists, galleries and the amazing open air theatre - the Minack. Booking Notes:
If booking is made 8 weeks or more before the holiday is due to start, a non refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure the booking. The remainder of the payment is due 8 weeks before your arrival date.
If a booking is made less than 8 weeks before the holiday is due to start, the full rental payment must be paid at the time of booking.

Changeover Day:
Changeover Saturday. Departure 10.00, arrival from 4.00.


Notes on prices:
Well behaved dogs are accepted at £25 per week.

The coastal path is great with stunning views.

There an excellent School of Art in St. Ives.

Fantastic surfing.

Good local horse riding facilities including beach rides.

Coast/Beach:

5 miles to the nearest beach in Hayle, beautiful sandy beach, a favourite with surfers, windsurfers etc. Many other beaches on both the North and South coasts within easy access.

Travel:

Nearest train station St. Erth is 15 mins away.

Newquay Airport is a 45 mins drive.

Distances:

Approx 1 mile to nearest villages of Praze or Leedstown, both of which have a post office, shop and pub. Praze also has a popular fish and chip shop and a pasty shop.

Further Details:

Also nearby are several good quality restaurants, cafes and farm shops. Banks and supermarkets can be found in Hayle 5 miles away together with a retail park containing a Marks & Spencer, Next, Costa Coffee and large Boots.

Locally there is also a: driving range, go kart track, skate park, surf lessons, and riding school.

  • Notes on accommodation: It is an old property and some of the doors are low, so mind your head! Also as it is an old cottage the walls are not very straight which also adds to the character. Outside: Outside: sunny private patio with table and chairs for 6 to 8 people and a parasol. South facing garden with a large lawn area and colourful flower beds. Plenty of parking and storage for surfboards, bikes etc The property is a 10 acre equine small holding.
