Set in the foot of the mountains this beautifully presented townhouse is ideally situated in a quiet area but just minutes drive away from the beach. Close by there are 2 golf courses, plenty of supermarkets also a shopping mall (La Marina), theme parks (Terra Mitika and Terra Natura).

About Julie Hewitt

Hi, my name is Julie and I live in Cheshire with my husband Tom and our Westie Abbey. We have 2 grown up children who have now flown the nest.

Over the last 5 years we have had many happy holidays at the house in Spain with family and friends.

Still after all this time both ourselves and our children and their partners love to spend time at the house and enjoy the area its facilities and climate.

Why Julie Hewitt chose Finestrat

After many years of visiting family in the area we decided we would also like to make a home there.

There is so much on offer on the doorstep. The house is situated at the foot of the mountains in a quiet area with fabulous views over the sea. Just 3 minutes away by car there are well known supermarkets, a shopping mall and 2 golf courses.

Our historical village of Finestrat is situated in the hills. It has all the typical Spanish streets which wind there way up to a little church where the views are spectacular. Also at the top is an amphitheatre where concerts are regularly hosted.

Within easy drive time is Villa Joiosa, Albir and Altea with their picturesque seafronts, bars and restaurants.

The area offers something for everyone.

What makes this house unique

The house benefits from having its own pool, which is rather nice in the height of the summer. There are sunbeds and parasols for those who wish to laze in the sun. Situated at the bottom of the garden is a barbecue, a fully covered terrace and dining table ready to enjoy out door living.

The kitchen has all the appliances you would need including a dishwasher.

Inside the house on the ground floor is one of the bedrooms and shower room overlooking the garden and pool. The spacious lounge/dining room is well appointed with a 42" wall mounted plasma TV and a DVD & music system.

On the first floor is an outside terrace with seating and a table to enjoy the amazing sea views along the coast all the way to Alicante.

The two other larger bedrooms and bathroom are on this floor.

Notes on accommodation: Hot & cold air conditioning and 2 oil filled radiators are available to all rooms. Also provided is a portable CD/radio for use outside. Outside: The beautiful garden boasts a private pool complete with sunbeds, a large barbecue and a fully covered terrace housing a dining table and six chairs perfect for outdoor living. There is plenty of shade from the large pagoda and individual garden parasols. Outside there is also a shower. On the landing there is a small outside terrace with seating and table to enjoy the delight of the sea view all the way to Alicante. Just a stroll away is a large communal swimming pool set in its own gardens. There is a children section of the pool for non swimmers. Utility Room: The washing machine is on the roof terrace with drying facilities. There is also an iron and ironing board and a vacuum cleaner. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels (with the exception of beach towels) and bed linen are provided. A second set of towels and linen will be provided for bookings exceeding 1 week. Cleaning takes place between each booking.

Excellent property and in a peaceful location

First time booking a villa and not disappointed. Very well equipped accommodation. Lovely pool and furniture in the garden area with a large barbeque. Plenty of space in the villa and all modern conveniences.

You will need a car(s) as there is no local bars or restaurants unless you rely on taxis, but they only take 4 passengers. We ended up hiring one to get around. Only 15 minutes by car to central Benidorm.

All in all a great property to rent, great value and some great views.

The cleanest place we have stayed in. The towels, linens furniture etc all new looking and great quality, everything was immaculate. Kitchen looked very well equipped but we always ate out so never used anything. A very peaceful location, you do need a car to get about but lovely if you want to stay in & sit around in the big, beautifully planted garden & pool, plenty of loungers, chairs, large family table, BBQ. They had a community pool around the corner but we had no need to use the communal pool as was perfect to sit & relax in the garden.

A lovely quiet complex. We walked for 30+ mins most mornings and not much to walk to (just saw the golf course) but all good paved paths, a new complex is being build over the other side, we could see them building on our walks but you can not see or hear from the house, the golf course is close so guess they have a club house etc but we never went in to look. Finestrat - La Casa beach a lovely sand cove was with in a 10 minutes drive, we went to Lavante to see family was about a 20 mins to drive. A perfect stay & would stay again. The owner Julie was so good and her friendly neighbors Michael & wife who showed us around & gave us the keys were so nice, even invited us in for a drink, so lovely & friendly. Many thanks to them & Julie for a perfect stay.

really nice property

This property has everything and more that one needs for a holiday. Everything from kitchen rolls to toilet rolls!!! There is very little one needs to buy other than food and you can get everything from the very busy and very large Carrefour hypermarket ( our landmark ) about 5 minutes away. The pool is great and there are plenty of seats/loungers. ( Big apologies Julie for the accident with the sunlounger, very embarrassing for my husband !! ) We loved the garden areas with beautiful flowers, cheery planters with pretty sparkly stones. There is a nice balcony to the front of the property where it's nice to sit in the early morning and late evening watching the lights of Alicante in the distance. I think Julie's property is most probably one of the nicest ones on the development. Air conditioning was very welcome and we found it especially good in the twin bedroom and the lounge. Julie supplied loads of reading material and free Wi-Fi which is a bonus.

Amazing house pictures don't do it justice

We were met on arrival by Michael who showed us around the house which was stunning and very spacious for the six of us. The pool and garden area is lovely with plenty of seating and loungers also plenty of room to sit in the shade if you prefer. The pool is a really good size and certainly big enough for my three children who enjoyed many hours in there. There is much to do in the surrounded areas but would say you need a car to get around. Would really recommend this house, thank you Julie for sharing your beautiful home.

We had a really lovely holiday in Julie's superb home; it really was a home from home. My children both loved the pool and the free wifi whilst myself and the husband admired the fantastic views and basked in the glorious sunshine. We hired a car and explored so many different places; the location of the house allowed easy access to the main roads and airport. I thoroughly recommend this holiday home!

Super holiday home

The house is excellent, super pool and wifi so the teenagers were happy so the parents were happy! We were met by Brian who talked us through everything ( so much nicer than having to collect the keys elsewhere ) , the house had everything you could need from grocery bags to flat screen TV, the air conditioning was super as was the dishwasher and washing area. We had a lovely relaxing break, wish we had stayed longer! Have already recommended the house to my sister, it was clean and well maintained, Julie was a pleasure to deal with !

The nearest beach, Cala Finestrat, is just a 5 minute drive away. It has numerous bars/restaurants surrounding its beautiful bay.

A little further, 15 minutes, is Villa Joiosa with its stunning beach and promenade which is ideal for a good stroll. The beach has children play areas and toilet facilities.

There are plenty of seaside restaurants and bars to enjoy the spectacular views.


Flights to Alicante are readily available from most UK airports. The house is then a 40 minute drive along the AP7. Full driving instructions will be given if requested.

Alicante airport has many car hire agents available. A hire car is recommended as this gives the easiest way to reach all local attractions, although local buses and taxis provide an alternative.

On arrival at the house you will be greeted by our friendly representative who will explain everything necessary.


The popular theme parks, Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Aqua Natura are a 4 minute drive away from the house. As are the 2 Jack Nicklaus golf courses at Villaitana.

Just 3 minutes away are various well known supermarkets plus La Marina an indoor shopping mall with lots of designer shops under one roof.

Benidorm is 10 minutes away by car with plenty of fun on offer for the young and young at heart.

A little further north is Albir and Altea with their picturesque seafronts, bars and restauran

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible. The house will be ready for 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, these times can be flexible providing that the arrivals and departures are not on the same day.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
