Notes on accommodation: Boswell House is a much adored holiday home which we love to share with family and friends, so we only advertise occasional weeks. The harbour was designed by Thomas Telford in 1818 and Beaumont Crescent was built around 1835. It was described as a gentile, curving terrace for respectable families. It is a superb location and ideal base for touring the Island. Outside: Pretty front garden with bistro table and direct access to the shore. Parking for two cars. Small rear garden with drying area. Use of private running mooring for small boats. Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer and access to small rear garden with drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: White linen and fluffy white towels.

Elegant and tasteful property in harbour location.

Family of four and dog spent a great week in very comfortable house with wonderful sea views and access to sheltered and sunny garden at front. House is over three levels with a feature bathroom on top floor and fire in living room, overall it is finished to a high standard. The property is well situated for eating out in Portree with adequate private parking at front of house, however it can get quite busy with tourists taking pictures of the harbour or house!

Perfect property for a holiday on Skye

We absolutely loved Boswell House. The location could not be better (right on the seafront in Portree), and the views out the front are spectacular. The property is gorgeously renovated, immaculately cared for, and very well equipped to serve as a home away from home. There are a range of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, and Portree itself is a good base for exploring the island. We cannot wait to visit again.

superb cottage

This is a very well equipped cottage with a fine view of the bay. It is most comfortable - coal fire not too easy to light, but good. Bathrooms and beds wonderful. We will come back. Tiny but attractive garden with table and 2 chairs for outdoor eating

Fabulous spot

The Boswell House couldn't have been better. Perfect location, lovely house with character yet updated, cute garden spot, and we felt warmly welcomed. Kitchen was fully equipped and great for cooking. Great suggestions for things to do. We slept with the windows wide open to the sweet sea air. We hated to leave.
