About the property

Superb Location On The Waterfront And Only A Stroll Away From Restaurants And The Town Center

A seriously special, seaside house located in Portree's conservation area. A fabulous honeymoon location or family retreat - this 3 storey Georgian Townhouse has breathtaking views, private parking and a beach front garden.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: Boswell House is a much adored holiday home which we love to share with family and friends, so we only advertise occasional weeks. The harbour was designed by Thomas Telford in 1818 and Beaumont Crescent was built around 1835. It was described as a gentile, curving terrace for respectable families. It is a superb location and ideal base for touring the Island. Outside: Pretty front garden with bistro table and direct access to the shore. Parking for two cars. Small rear garden with drying area. Use of private running mooring for small boats. Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer and access to small rear garden with drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: White linen and fluffy white towels.

Perfect seaside cottage

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED the house, so homely and convenient. Beautiful decor. Would 100% recommend and hope to return one day. We also had an amazing sunny week of weather so managed to spend lots of time sat out in the front garden with a glass of wine!

Excellent home from home overlooking the harbour

  • 5 of 5

A very confortable and well appointed house with private parking directly on the harbour looking out over the boats. Amenities all within walking distance. Larger co-op on the outskirts for kindling, coal and logs. Excellent space for 2 couples, top bathroom is a joy, central large standing bath with views over the harbour. The kitchen is well equipped and modern and all white goods for washing are quiet and efficient. We would highly recommend it to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed for a week in January and loved staying in Boswell House! The wood burning fireplace made cold winter evenings cozy and warm.

The bedrooms were huge with a very comfortable bed in the bedroom we used. Lived the well supplied kitchen and pantry were perfect!

What can we say except we loved it and would definitely come back.

Highly recommended!!

Great location and precious house

  • 5 of 5

The house is absolutely amazing. Location can’t be better, viewing from the windows take your breath away. Lovely, cozy, charming... it ain’t enough words to describe how beautiful the house is. This property is perfect for families or friends as so is big and spacious. It also got plenty of books, board games and movies. We loved every corner of it!!
