Hillcrest is a wonderfully restored 3-bed, sleeps 6 cottage in a stunning location, sea and country views, a spacious and welcoming traditional Cornish cottage. Only a 5 minute drive from Marazion, a charming town with 2 miles of sandy beaches and iconic St. Michael's Mount. A hundred yards from Hillcrest is a delightful village pub serving great food and traditional Cornish ales. Hillcrest is a great base from which to explore South West Cornwall for both families and couples, and is within 30 min drive to five stunning coastal golf courses!

About Jakki Love

I am a retired teacher who has moved back to my family roots. Cornwall has been my family's home for generations, in fact my great grandfather was christened in the church at Ludgvan. I have 2 grown sons of whom I am immensely proud and am a Cornish speaker. My aim with Hillcrest is to provide a 'home away from home' and I feel that personal touches and attention to detail are important, so that when you spend time at Hillcrest, you'll never want to leave. Hillcrest is situated in such a beautiful part of Cornwall, with views over the sea to St Michael's Mount and the house, a traditional Cornish cottage is centrally placed with easy access to all parts of West Cornwall's beaches, walks and amenities.

Hillcrest is a double fronted 3-bedroomed Cornish Cottage situated in the quiet, picturesque village of Ludgvan and commands superb views across Mounts Bay.

With easy access to A30, Hillcrest is ideally situated for visiting the fabulous beaches of West Cornwall, walking St Michael’s Wayand the South-West coastal path, and for those wishing to visit the world-famous bird sanctuaries at Marazion marshes and the Hayle estuary.

Our local pubs are award-winning micro breweries and the area has a wealth of excellent restaurants that use locally grown ingredients.

Nearby towns include the historic town of Marazion where visitors can visit St Michael's Mount, Penzance, Hayle with its 3 miles of golden sands and St Ives, famous for its artists, the Tate Modern and sandy beaches.

What makes this cottage unique

Sitting room - comfy sofa & armchair you'll want to curl up in and enjoy the 32"TV/DVD,Freesat box, ipod docking station/CD plater/DAB radio, PS2 with games, free Wi-Fi and DVDs, games, visitor info. leaflets and local history books. The walls are decorated with Cornish art and the floor and doors are solid oak.

Fitted kitchen - fridge, freezer, built-in hob & oven, breakfast bar + 2 stools, dishwasher, washing machine overlooking a secluded, mature garden. Downstars WC.

Bed. 1 - double bed, Bed 2- ‘zip and link’ beds (option to make 5’ king), wardrobe, drawers, TV/DVD, sea views from both rooms, Bed. 3 - twin beds, chest of drawers garden views.

Bathroom:- fully tiled, bath, power shower, WC, basin

and heated towel rail.

Pretty bed linen and soft hand & bath towels provided.

Lovely cottage in a super location

This was our second visit to Hillcrest and it will not be our last. The property is very clean and decorated to a high standard. The lovely new kitchen is a great addition to the property. Jakki is always a pleasure a deal with and has equipped the cottage with everything you could possibly need. Nice little country pub on the door step and views of St Michael's Mount from upstairs. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to holiday in this part of Cornwall.

Very comfortable with excellent facilities.

We stayed at Hillcrest in Aug 2016. It is a lovely family house. It's very clean & comfortable with excellent facilities. It is in a nice little village, easy to find and well placed for exploring west Cornwall. We recommend Hillcrest and we would be happy to stay there again ourselves.

Our amazing stay

Had a fantastic time the cottage was beautiful it was equipped to a very high standard we didn't want for anything and you were a very accommodating lovely lady looking forward to staying there again hope we left it clean and tidy and we will definitely recommend to family and friends kind regards Pat and Julie Guerin

A home from home

The description of the property was accurate. It was well maintained, immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard. The owners have anticipated the needs of all customers and they have provided for those needs. The property wants for nothing and is suitably equipped for all. With a high chair, cot, numerous games, play station and I-pod docking,wifi etc etc families of all ages are catered for. Those who want to cater for themselves have everything they could need and those who prefer to eat out need only walk 100 yards to the local pub.

10 minutes from the beach and with great views and walks at the front doorstep it is a perfect holiday location.

We would recommend this property to anyone.

A fabulous last minute find

Having found ourselves in need of a short break and knowing we had left it a tad late, we were delighted to find this cottage still available.

When we arrived we were so pleased to find everything welcoming, spotlessly clean and set to begin our holiday. Once we had tucked into the cream tea left for us, we settled in and made ourselves at home.

The facilities were top notch and the cottage was a welcome 'home from home' at the end of each of our days exploring.

It is in a great location and has lovely views across the fields to St Michael's Mount. We found it ideal for visits to the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mousehole, St Just, St Ives and exploring the tin mining areas plus lots of scope for long country walks.

We certainly plan to return as there is so much more we would like to explore and we are sure we will receive the same warm welcome that Jakki gave us this time.

We would certainly recommend this cottage to friends and relatives.

Hillcrest was the perfect getaway!

This cottage was a fantastic find. Really home from home and we wanted for nothing. The kitchen was amazingly resourced, even to having egg cups! Same can also be said for the rest of the rooms- all a good size with lovely, well cared for furniture.

The house is decorated tastefully too and you can see the care that went into making it look perfect. It is clean and incredibly well maintained- the housekeeper, who lives next door, is very house proud and makes a lovely cream tea- something that was a lovely touch, waiting for us upon our arrival.

The location was good for visiting the tail end of Cornwall- you do ideally need a car though to get yourself around easily. Having said that, the train station is only about 3 miles away, a wonderful scenic journey to St Ives. There is a lovely pub a few doors down which is quiet, typical of pubs in Cornish villages. Lovely food too!

I would recommend this property to anyone who loves Cornwall, we would love to go back!
