Beachside complex Calahonda - Fantastic Location, Close To All Amenities

A very comfortable first floor duplex apartment with 2 large terraces overlooking the pool, gardens and sea view (from upper terrace). Completely equipped with aircon, pay as you go wifi, spanish and english tv, and perfect for a family or group holiday. The beauty of this apartment is it's location, with the beach and a huge variety of amenities less than 5 minutes walk away.

Steps up to the front porch (where there is an extra drinks fridge and space for babybuggies etc), entering into living room with compact American style kitchen. There is a double bedroom and shower bathroom on this floor. Upstairs you will find bedroom number 2 (twin beds) and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. There is a useful fireplace for those cooler winter months.

Lovely complex

We found the property, although dated, was large enough for our family of 6 and had everything we needed, including adequate aircon and much needed fans. The complex is clean and tidy and we particularly liked that the pool was open late. Although near the main road we didn't hear the traffic once inside. A nice holiday thanks.

We were very satisfied with our stay

The apartment was suitable for us 7 pax

Overall the apartment was clean, except the terrass, we knew it was an old apartment but overall it was ok. We missed some lightbulbs in some places, but we could live with it.

The manager gave us good service

We will surely recommend this property to our friends

Lack of various restaurants in the neighborhood was something we missed

Interior and sofas at the patio in very bad shape

very low standsard of the interior. Duplex needs renovation in generally. The sofa at the patio almost fell apart !!

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 38 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Numerous at 400 Metres Nearest Golf : Miraflores at 2 Kilometres Nearest Train : Fuengirola at 15 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A7 at 100 Metres Nearest Restaurant : Numerous at 400 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Sierra Nevada at 80 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Calahonda at 150 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Walking to Calahonda Beach 3 minutes. From here you can walk 5 minutes along the edge of the beach to Riviera (or road access too) as far as Riviera del Sol. Here begins a fantastic boardwalk suitable for disabled and children which stretches all the way to the centre of La Cala de Mijas (takes around 40 minutes). 5 minutes drive to Cabopino beaches (or 20 minutes walk), drive to Nikki Beach Elviria 10 minutes. The apartment is very close to a wide choice of beaches and a car is not necessary.

Travel:

Malaga airport is the closest, just 30 minutes drive away. There is also a regular airport bus to Marbella. We can arrange airport transfers/car hire if necessary. The bus running between Marbella and Fuengirola is every 30 minutes and stops very close to the apartment.

Distances:

Sitio de Calahonda with all its facilities is 5 minutes walk away. La Cala de Mijas 45 minutes beachwalk. There are bus stops close by with regular service to Malaga (1 hour), Fuengirola (approx. 30mins) or Marbella (approx. 30 mins)

Further Details:

There are all sorts of restaurants within walking distance including chinese, indian, italian as well as several beach bars/restaurants serving fresh fish and seafood. Lidl, Mercadona and Supersol supermarkets are all within walking distance and you will be able to get all of your shopping here. MacDonalds is a hop, skip and a jump away! Weekly market in Calypso Calahonda and twice weekly in La Cala de Mijas (only 45 minutes beach walk away or 10 minutes on the bus!) La Canada Shopping Centre in Marbella 15 minutes drive, or Miramar Fuengirola 15 minutes drive.

We try to be as flexible as possible with changeover days and arrival/departure times, just let us know.
Notes on prices:
Booking may be made either directly through Owners Direct or direct with the owner. Final clean charge 90eur to be paid in cash upon arrival. Mid stay cleaning can be arranged locally with the Property Manager, at extra charge. There is aircon in each of the bedrooms and this is coin operated at 1eur per 3 hours per machine (there are also ceiling fans in all rooms). Wifi is available on a pay as you go basis. Discounts available for longer and short term lets during certain periods. Late Meet and Greet charge of 40eur is payable locally for arrivals at the apartment between the hours of 2300-0900.

Just recently a boardwalk has been completed which runs all the way from Calahonda to La Cala de Mijas. The location of this apartment means that it is not at all necessary to hire a car, which is takes away the stress of driving in a foreign country. Taxis are cheap and easy to find and there is a regular bus service running every 30 minutes between Marbella and Fuengirola (the bus stop is only a short walk away). Although the apartment is very close to the main coast road, you would never know it sitting on the spacious terrace looking out towards the sea - it's a real sun trap as well as a relaxing haven.
