House in Lymington- Ideally Located on the coast of the fabulous New Forest yet only half mile from High Street.

Little Home Farm oozes country cottage charm and is nestled in an idyllic semi-rural setting with views from the upper floors of the surrounding countryside and Lymington River valley. Think log burners, beamed ceilings, and original features which all combine to create a lovely, cosy home from home in one of the UK's most beautiful areas. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bath/shower rooms. This stunning property started life as a complex of wheat and cattle barns when it was still a working farm, with parts dating back to the 1850's. Set back from the road the location of Little Home Farm is superb being close enough to Town, Forest and Coast to allow you to make the most of this unique area.

We accept bookings either weekly-Friday to Friday, Midweek-Monday to Friday or Weekends-Friday to Monday.

We are a family with 2 children aged 13 & 15 who are growing up (as I did!) loving this area and all that it has to offer! My husband and I both work from home (next door) so are on hand if there are any last minute problems or if you need a suggestion for a great local restaurant!

Why Tiffany Robinson chose Lymington

I have been lucky enough to have lived in this area for most of my life and can not think of anywhere that can offer so much to so many, at anytime of year.

It has everything; the remoteness of the New Forest to the hustle of town. There are beaches and cities within easy reach, there are theme parks and cycle tracks, Museums and Theatres, sailing and walking, horses riding and rowing, cycling for miles with no real hills to speak of!

On our door step you have access, by ferry, to the Isle of Wight, by train to London or by plane to anywhere in the world!

Lymington itself is a beautiful Georgian town with plenty of fabulous place to eat and local shops to peruse!

What makes this house unique

Within 1/2 a mile there are familiar shops such as Waitrose, Tesco, boots etc plus a multitude of independent shops, Restaurants and Pubs.

In the other direction, and only 1/2 a mile, you have the open Forest with miles of tracks and the wonderful New Forest ponies to explore. There are beaches close by and the Ferry to the Isle of Wight is walking distance.

There is so much to do in the area that I can not possibly put it all here, but please feel free to ask for any suggestions!

A wonderful stay over the New Year period

Four friends and I stayed at the property from 30th December for 4 nights. As we walked through the front door, my initial reaction was "wow" and my first feelings about the property proved to be accurate. It is a super place to stay, well situated for the Forest, the coast and Lymington itself but in a beautiful country setting. The cottage itself was warm, spacious and homely, the beds were comfortable and everything was good quality and spotlessly clean. Tiffany and Steve live next door but are unobtrusive whilst remaining helpful. When we ran out of matches to light the wood burner, Steve brought us some in minutes. The cottage lacked nothing. There was even a large beautifully lit Christmas tree in the corner of the lounge and tasteful Christmas decorations throughout. The cottage is spacious, the 3 en suite bathrooms were wonderful for a party of 60- somethings and the whole stay was absolutely wonderful. I took two small dogs with me and they immediately curled up in their bed by the radiator, a sure sign they felt at home. Thank you Tiffany and Steve. We will definitely be back.

Lovely house in great location.

We went over the Christmas period and the house was perfect, large living room with dining table, wood burner and big comfy sofas. Steve and Tiffany had also provided a Christmas tree so it felt festive as soon as we walked in. It's on the edge of the forest park and also a walkable distance from Lymington with the bonus of a good pub next door (no noise from pub as the entrance and car park are the other side). It is close to the road but not especially noisy and that didn't bother us at all. If we needed anything Steve responded immediately, there was a problem with the cooker and he came round a soon as I'd texted. Fabulous stay, would recommend.

Great Place, Both In Itself, And As A Base For The Area!

Little Home Farm was perfect for our four-night stay. There were five adults plus a large dog, and the layout of the property, and generous proportions of the three bedrooms, kitchen and lounge, together with the garden area (Even though our stay was in October, we were able to sit out!), suited us ideally. All we could have expected in a rental proerty, and more, was provided; the owners, Tiff and Steve, clearly have a good eye for detail, comfort and practicality, as well as obviously taking pride in the place, for it was spotlessly clean. The house is superbly positioned in that you can walk into Lymington in twenty minutes, drive there in three, has a good eating pub next door (A one minute walk - at most.) and, turning right out of the parking area, you are immediately in "typical" New Forest land.

In a sense the above is what one might expect from very satisfied customers, but, without going overboard (Lymington pun...), we truly felt at home in the house, and were quite happy to spend a good deal of our stay in the property. It is a lovely old building, but tastefully modernised. My wife and I took the upstairs rear bedroom; its en-suite has a superb bath! Our daughter was in the upstairs front bedroom - the one with the balcony in the photo - and it has a great view over the town and countryside.

We cannot recommend Little Home Farm highly enough. We loved it!

Good sized accommodation, comfortable beds but in need of a little tlc in places.

We booked this accommodation as two couples and our small dog. On arrival our first surprise was that the garden is on the front of the property, which is actually on the main road into Lymington. The property is a good size and can cater for six adults comfortably. We found the accommodation to be not as clean as we would have liked, and the carpets upstairs were very dirty. We had a few issues whilst staying at Little Home Farm. One problem was solved quite quickly but another was not, although Tiffany promises me this was just a communication error. There is a lot of traffic noise in the bedrooms at night which we are not used to, which did disturb our sleep. We also found our privacy was limited in the garden as one of the owners bedrooms is looking out over the garden above the lounge area. All in all the property is in a great location for exploring and we took the ferry to the Isle of Wight during our stay, however, overall we were disappointed and would not stay at this property again as it did not deliver what it had promised.

I am so sorry that you did not find things as clean as you would have liked as we always strive to provide immaculately clean accommodation. As you know we have already put improvements in place to ensure no future issues. I do wish you would have given us the opportunity to put things right during your stay as we did when you mentioned about the spent light bulb. This may have improved your experience with us. I disagree about “a lot of traffic noise at night”, as although it can sometimes get busy during the day (it’s a B road), the road is hardly used at all past 8pm and no guests have ever mentioned noise at night. You mention about being surprised by the garden being at the front so I checked the listing description and I feel the photographs combined with the location map, satellite and street view make it very clear, you can literally (virtually) walk past the house, which is a wonderful feature! Overall I am really glad that you found Little Home Farm to be comfortable, a good size and in a great location for exploring this wonderful area!

Perfection!

This was our second visit to the New Forest and Little Home Farm made us fall in love with the area even more. The house is simply gorgeous and is in a wonderful location. You have the best of both worlds as it feels like the idyllic countryside but is only a short drive from shops and restaurants. Tiffany and Steve are also the perfect hosts - there when you need them and supplied a lovely little welcome basket. Nothing was ever too much trouble and when we ran out of teabags, Tiffany wizzed round with some! I honestly could not recommend Little Home Farm more and we are already planning to return in Summer 2018!

Large spacious property in a good location

Large spacious property surrounded by wonderful countryside and fabulous restaurants. So much to see and do just on the doorstep. Owners very helpful and suggested lots of places to go and superb restaurants. A word of caution however to those who may have any mobility issues in that the stairs to the two top floor bedrooms are very steep and narrow.

Highcliffe Beach with it's lovely Castle and Mudeford are only 15 minutes by car. Lymington has a large recreation centre with large indoor pool, Gym etc and just of the Quay there is a large Grade 2 listed salt-water swimming pool!

Travel:

Southampton and Bournemouth Airports approx' 30 minutes by car.

Gatwick and Heathrow 2-3 hours by car or rail.

Lymington Pier train station is only a 15 minute walk away and has ferries to the Isle of Wight every 1/2 hour.

Trains go via Brockenhurst to London Waterloo in only 1.5-2 Hours.

Distances:

Little Home Farm is only 1/2 mile (15 Minute walk) to Lymington High Street.

4 Miles to Beaulieu with isn’t famous Palace and Motor Museum.

30-40 Minutes to both Bournemouth or Southampton for Cinemas, shopping etc.

2 hours drive/train to London.

Lovely New forest villages of Burley, Brockenhurst, Milford-on-Sea etc all within a 10 minute drive.

Further Details:

There are many pubs and restaurants with in easy reach, including The Walhampton Arms ideally situated next door! The Walhampton Arms is well known for its good food, a warm welcome and excellent value for money.

Another fantastic local pub/restaurant is the Waggon and Horses which is within walking distance and is a lovely relaxing place with excellent food and a great wine menu.

Lymington, only a 15 minute stroll! Has a plethora of eateries, from the local fish and chips, a Tapas, Pizzas at Prezzo's, as well as many fine restaurants for something special.
