The house is situated in the middle of the old town and is totally quiet, secure and private.

The property is situated 15 minutes away from the Porto International Airport. From the Bluehouse to the beach there are 5 minutes walking. The same to reach the subway that takes you directly to the historical city center of Porto. If you take a taxi you reach the city center in 15 minutes ( +/- 15€ ).

What makes this house unique

Near the house you have everything that you need ( supermarket 1 minute, banks 1 minute,bakery 1 minute and a lot of shops ). The house is situated in the middle of the old town and is totally quiet, secure and private. You also have 5 minutes walking a marina where you can practice all the watersports. The beach near the house is a surf beach.

Historic house very close to Porto

A very comfortable and spacious house, with a wonderful combination of historic features and modern facilities. We were 9 people for part of our stay and there was plenty of room. An amazing collection of music and books, all available for visitors. Miguel was very helpful, and Diolinda the housekeeper was around every day- she is happy to do any washing, which was a great help. The house was extremely clean.

Very convenient, 10 mins from the airport, and easy to get to the centre of Porto by tram. We made use of a very helpful taxi driver, Rui, who did several journeys to the airport and to the centre of Porto.

Food shops incredibly close to the house.

We enjoyed the Piscina das Mares, the Boa Nova restaurant and trips to Braga, Bom Jesus, Amarante and Viana do Castelo, as well as Porto itself.

Beautiful Property

This is a beautiful family home, with gorgeous interiors and in immaculate condition. The five of us stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderfully relaxing time. It's situated just five minutes walk from a lovely sandy beach and nice, reasonably priced family restaurants in a quiet suburb of Porto. The trip into Porto itself, the centre of which is stunning, doesn't take too long and is easy to reach whether by bus or tram/metro. We highly recommend this property as a family holiday and may well go back ourselves...

We rented the entire house for the week (I believe Miguel also rents individual rooms). It is a lovely property and very much a family home with photos and personal effects left in place - very trusting ! The family dog even lives with the housekeeper downstairs and is happy to join visitors around the pool if you chose to open the gate :-)

It is located in a quiet residential area of a fairly unremarkable suburb. However it is 5 minutes from the beach and there are plenty of small shops and local cafes in the surrounding streets. A little further away, but still within 5 minutes' walk, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars both along the beachfront and grouped around a small castle.

The nearest Porto metro stop is about 10 minutes walk away and offers a very cheap and easy journey into the city.

A 2 minute walk from the beaches and from the recognized architectural work "Piscina das Marés". The beaches of the area has trendy terraces with prime locations. There is also a strong activity of diving, surfing and kite surfing. Nearby we have also sailing clubs.

5 minutes from Sá Carneiro Airport. 2 minutes walking from Leixões Port.

Distances:

40 Kms from Braga, 30 Kms from Guimarães, 50 Kms from Viana do Castelo. 40 Kms from Douro Valley, from where the Porto wine came.

Further Details:

Shopping centre and IKEA store 5 minutes away, a wide range of restaurants and terraces nearby with various specialities among which stands out the fish and seafood. A lot of supermarkets and banks nearby. Fresh fish market 5 minutes walk. Oporto's historic centre in 15 minutes. Port wine cellars at the same distance. Collaboration and advice in numerous leisure and culture activities available in the city of Porto and its surroundings.
