House in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England - Quiet Residential Street, Off Street Parking For 2 Cars, 15 Minutes Walk From The Town Centre

Harbour View House is a large modern, 4 storey house situated on the east (Abbey) side of Whitby with panoramic views over the harbour and town from the balcony of the open plan living area, bedrooms and outside spaces.

The clever layout of rooms with bedrooms on top and bottom floors and kitchen/dining/living area in the middle means the house is ideal for family get togethers or groups of friends.

The house is well equipped and comfortably furnished for a relaxing holiday any time of the year and is just a 10 minute walk into the town and has the added benefit of off-street parking for 2 cars, a rarity in Whitby.

On the top floor there are 3 bedrooms, one twin, one double (with views over the harbour) and one single. A stairgate is in place if required.

On the floor below, which is at street level, there is a bathroom and integral garage (space for 1 car) with washing machine and tumble dryer.

One further floor below is the open plan kitchen/dining/living area which leads onto the balcony overlooking the harbour and station. This faces west so has the benefit of afternoon sunshine and is the perfect place for sundowners!

The kitchen has an electric double oven, gas hob, integrated fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, lots of crockery and cutlery, glassware (including plastic versions for children) and pots and pans to make it easy to cater for a full house.

There is seating for 8 at the dining table or make use of the breakfast bar to keep the chef company! We also provide 2 highchairs for small people.

There is ample seating on sofas and easy chairs for watching TV or a dvd, listening to music, playing board games, using the wifi or just curling up with a good book!

Stairs from the lounge, with stairgate, lead to the bottom floor a large master bedroom suite with a kingsize bed, one single bed and wooden cot. There is a large shower room with twin basins and walk-in shower cubicle. Double French doors lead on to the terrace with views over the harbour.

The large gravelled terrace can be reached by an external staircase from the kitchen or from the master bedroom and has a table and chairs for alfresco dining or just watching the world go by.

It has been a fab family Christmas in a beautiful home thank you. The safety gates were very much appreciated as was the high chairs and the children's cutlery as we forgot ours! I would say though that a gate at the top and bottom of every stairs would have been even better for us as we have two very inquisitive toddlers and we found it hard to keep them from the stairs especially the ones to the living room. I can honestly say that your house has been one of the nicest, cleanest and best equipped we have ever stayed in. Thank you

Notes on accommodation: The rental is fully inclusive of heating and electricity costs. For those coming with young children we have a wooden cot and a travel cot, 2 high chairs and stair gates are in place on the top floor and in the living room. Bed linen (except for the cots), bath towels and tea towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. For the comfort of all our guests we regret that the house is strictly non-smoking and we do not accept pets. Outside: Off street parking for 2 cars (1 in garage, 1 on drive). Balcony from main living area with chairs has panoramic views over harbour and town. Small paved patio area at same level as kitchen, stairs down to gravelled area in front of master bedroom with table and chairs. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, drying racks, iron and ironing board in integral garage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen, towels (except cot bedding and beach towels), heating included. The house will be cleaned prior to arrival. For bookings longer than one week, extra cleaning and clean bed linen can be arranged.

Super house in a great location.

This is a wonderful house and has everything you need and more. My family and I had a great holiday here ;there is lots of space and the house is very comfortable. It has great views from the balcony and is a short walk into town with all the amenities of Whitby . It has a garage and another parking space which are a bonus for a house in Whitby . The kitchen is smart and very well equipped , clean and easy to use .Communication with the owner for booking was quick and pleasant .Highly recommended !

Spacious family friendly cottage with great views

A wonderful spacious, clean and well decorated cottage in a great location. It has everything you could possibly need and more. The garage and parking space is a real bonus and the view from the outside spaces/balcony is out of this world - I'm missing the steam train, boats and the Whitby skies!

This was the first time we'd booked using Owners Direct, the process was simple and the owners friendly, helpful and responded quickly.

One of the best cottages we've ever stayed in, would definitely recommend.

Lovely seaside house.

Had a brilliant time and in some ways took my husband and myself back to our childhoods playing and exploring with 4 of our little grandsons.

The house was lovely and well equipped and wonderfully suited for families of all ages.

Fantastic Family Holiday

What a FANTASTIC cottage in a great location. Will miss waking up to beautiful views of the harbour. Everything was supplied and the whole family enjoyed Whitby and the cottage. We will return! Refundable Damage Deposit £100

Payment terms:
A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking. Balance to be paid 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. Payment in full is required if a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival. A refundable 'good housekeeping' deposit of £100 required which will normally be returned within 2 weeks of checkout subject to no major damage/breakages.
A booking form together with a copy of the terms and conditions will be emailed in response to a reservation request.
Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Friday, arrival after 4pm and departure before 10am.
Other days may be agreed (Friday for 3 night weekend, Monday for 4 night) for short breaks (or longer stays!).

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
