A traditional stone built villa furnished to a high standard with the benefit of wifi. There are steps down to its own private pool, outside shower and sunbathing area. Set in a quaint unspoilt village with a cobbled main street and narrow winding lanes, ideal for an afternoon stroll. The property comprises 3 bedrooms with 2 en-suite and a large upstairs veranda for sunbathing or alfresco dining whilst enjoying the panoramic mountain views. Alternatively there is an attractive BBQ area set amongst an established garden. The living area is spacious and stylishly furnished with a wood burner for cosy winter evenings. For dining out or an evening drink there are 2 Tavernas and 2 Cypriot coffee shops within a 4 minute walk. There is also a mini market at the top end of the village. 4 top quality golf courses are within a 30 minute drive with Minthis Hills being only 5 minutes away. Paphos town, with its many shops, restaurants and cafes, and local beaches are within a 20 minute drive.

Lovely villa

We spent a week there and had a great time. The villa is well equipped and spacious. Steve- the owner - was really helpful and got in touch before we travelled to make sure everything was ok and we received the directions to the villa etc.

Would definitely recommend.

Home from Home !

The house is a real home from home with stunning views across to the Troudos mountains.

It is on a small quiet development of 7 similar properties and is within 2/3 minutes walk of the village square and 2 taverns both of which are very different but both excellent.

It is in an excellent location and easy driving for exploring the main sights but a car is essential to make the most of it.

We were the first short term let for the owners so it was a new experience for both of us ! However, they were extremely helpful and they have gone to great lengths to make sure that the property is a real home from home and short of nothing.

There are 3 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin upstairs and 1 twin downstairs. Double and twin upstairs both have ensuites (1 with shower and 1 with shower/bath) and the 1 downstairs adjoins another shower room. There is plenty of extra towels, linen etc and just as important a hairdryer !

Kitchen is well fitted with oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge - there is also a microwave, toaster, kettle and plenty of utensils etc. There is also a BBQ if you want to go Al fresco.

If you fancy a quiet night in there is a tv (Satellite with some English programs) and a dvd player.

Cooling/heating is via wall mounted air-conditioning units which can also be used as heaters in the winter and there is also a wood burner in the lounge area with logs outside.There was plenty of hot water, provided by solar panels and there is a booster to top-up if you get a cloudy day.

There is a decent size pool set down a few steps - its not heated so might be a bit parky in the winter months but just right in the summer. There is also plenty of loungers and chairs around to soak up the rays.

Eating out ? Then I would recommend G&Ts - this tends to attract mainly the expats and they do an excellent Sunday roast with dessert for 10 euros. There is then a second local tavern in the square with seating inside and outside which is frequented by both the locals and expats - they do an excellent breakfast for 4 euro and if you want to sit out and watch the village life go by you can do so with a jug of wine for 6 euro. We didn't eat there in the evening but gather that the food and entertainment is pretty good.

If you want to go further afield to eat then would recommend Letymbou Tavern in the next village where the Meze is not to be missed !

We loved our stay here - we will definitely come back again and would highly recommend !!

We bought this villa because it was located in a typical Cypriot village away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. They are close to visit if you want however we enjoy the peace and quiet of village life.

  • Notes on accommodation: The property has its own off road parking with steps leading down to the villa. On opening the door you are greeted with a bright and airy living area, 2 sets of patio doors lead out onto a veranda and steps down to a private pool area with outside shower and sunbeds. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned with built in wardrobes. The upstairs veranda has a table and chairs ideal for some peace and quiet. The downstairs patio area also has a table and chairs and is close to the traditional Cypriot BBQ. The property is full of character with its 3 different levels affording the opportunity for solitude and reflection. For a quiet evening in there is satellite TV (Nile Sat), DVD, CD radio, books, cards and puzzles. A car is essential for shops, visiting cultural sites and island exploration. Towels, Linen and Welcome Pack provided. Maid service optional For guests staying longer than 7 days extra linen and towels are available therefore if you do not wish to be disturbed you are able to change the linen and towels.
