NEW for 2016, apartment is now fully airconditioned. We give you free: WiFi, UK tv, Final clean, meet and greet at convenient spot near property on arrival. Who wants to arrive, possibly in the dark, then struggle to find the location! The terrace/balcony gives fantastic views over the town and the Bay of Mazarron. The balcony is furnished with table and chairs, and is perfect for al fresco dining. With 1 double and 1 triple bedroom the apartment is ideal for families and the complex is also disability friendly with ramps, and a lift to all floors. The apartment has free wifi. Late evenings spent with a glass of wine and a snack on the balcony as the lights of Puerto de Mazarron slowly come on beneath the balcony (as we have done often!) are what holidays are all about. The apartment and complex is child friendly. The area still has a very Spanish feel, unlike some larger resorts and is in easy reach of several golf courses, including the La Manga club. Cartagena is nearby for history lovers, and local markets abound in Puerto and most surrounding towns. The local beaches (7!) are all superb and mostly blue flag. NEW for Summer 2016, air conditioning throughout apartment.

The apartment is of good quality and fairly spacious and the balcony faces the sun all day. Supermarkets are nearby. It has a homely feel about it and we would be happy to return again

Simply Perfect

We stayed for a week with our two children and it was fantastic. The property was perfect for us with the bonus of great views. The wifi was a bonus. We were the only ones ever in the pool. Paul and Marie met us on arrival to make sure everything was ok and again on check out. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic Apartment

A lovely clean and spacious apartment with fantastic views front and back. The pool was quiet and very inviting. Numerous supermarkets within walking distance and the port was only 10/15 minutes walk. The Sunday market was at the bottom of the hill and a must to visit.

Viggos (in the port) is an excellent restaurant which we visited often and never disappointed us.

Communication with Paul was very good and he supplied an excellent taxi service for airport transfers.

We will definitely be going back next year.

Fantastic Holiday

Lovely spacious apartment in a fantastic location with great views front and back. The shared pool was quiet and refreshing and very welcoming. Numerous supermarkets in walking distance and the port a 10/15 minute walk. The local market is held on a Sunday and is just at the bottom of the hill - well worth a visit.

Communication with Paul was very good and he provides a great taxi service with airport transfers.

Viggos is our favourite restaurant and has never disappointed us with their wide variety of meals.

We would definitely recommend this apartment and we are even booking to come again next summer.

Lovely apartment with all you need for an enjoyable stay. Clean, bright & comfortable. Wi fi excellent. Kitchen was well stocked with things you need. Great location overlooking the bay and town, 10 minute walk down the hill . Great restraunts at the harbour . Beaches close by

Paul and Marie met me at the apartment when I arrived, to show me around and hand over the keys. Lovely people, very warm, friendly and welcoming, and what a lovely apartment: clean, comfortable, very well equipped and fantastic view of the bay of Mazarron from the balcony. I had a great time there and would recommend the apartment 100%. Will definitely be back!

Very few apartments in Puerto de Mazarron have a sea view like ours, and almost none are situated in an area which is both tranquil and a short walk from all the facilities in the town. AND the wifi works in the garden!

Nearest Airport : Murcia at 50 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Hotel la Cumbre at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Santander at 900 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Camposol at 10 Kilometres Nearest Train : Totana at 20 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Rm2/A7 at 5 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Hotel la Cumbre at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Granada at 250 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Paseo, blue flag. at 0.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The nearest and most popular beach is 5 to 10 mins walk away and fronts onto "the Paseo" Puerto de Mazarrons promenade. It, like many of the others here is classified as blue flag and is spotlessly cleaned every morning. At least 9 other beaches within a short drive some of which are half-empty even at the height of the summer season.

Travel:

Puerto de Mazarron is in easy reach of 3 airports, Murcia (San Javier) 40 mins, Alicante (El Altet) 60mins and Almeria 70 mins. All 3 are served by the usual budget airlines, Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and Flybe depending on your departure airport. Car hire in Spain is cheaper than the UK. We can also offer airport transfers at competitive prices.The road system from all 3 airports is quick and relatively uncrowded. It is possible to drive down from Santander in a day.

Mazarron main town 5kms

Cartagena, lovely old city/seaport with great shopping 30kms

Murcia City, regional capital with zoo and water park 40kms

La Manga, "the strip" and the Mar Menor inland sea. 40kms

Vera, with aqua park 50 kms

Further Details:

Puerto de Mazarron is a lovely town with an authentic Spanish feel. Plenty of supermarkets and shops to choose from including an English Supermarket if you have a favourite tea/coffee/variety! Local, good value markets in Puerto and most surrounding towns. All towns, large or small, have regular Fiestas, mainly in Spring or Autumn.

Good quality Spanish and English bars and restaurants abound, especially for seafood lovers. Chinese food is excellent and very cheap. Three good Indian restaurants for curry aficionados, all a short walk away.

Puerto has had a lot of new investment in the last 3 years and now boasts one of the smartest Marinas in the South of Spain, surrounded by shops and nice bar/restaurants. The "Paseo" which is what we would call the promenade has this year been completely renovated and is now absolutely beautiful. No one rushes you out of the restaurants here and tarrying over a meal or drink at the Marina and watching the Spanish families promenading up and down is one of our favourite activities! For the younger (or young at heart) the new marina area has several "club" type bars which stay open till the small hours offering a variety of music and dancing. This part of the port has a definite yottie/clubby feel to it now, unlike the older paseo which still retains its more traditional Spanish ambiance, meaning there is something for all ages to enjoy.

Watersports, fishing and tennis all available locally. Bike and mountain bike hire available locally. Go kart circuit and tenpin bowling alley within 10 minutes walk of the apartment though well out of earshot.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Our apartment has a spacious lounge/dining room with balcony off through large patio doors. The kitchen is roomy and fully equipped with fridge freezer, microwave, espresso machine, toaster and utility/drying room off, with auto washer. Bathroom has full size bath with shower over. Both bedrooms have large built in wardrobes and bedroom 1 has a secure safety deposit box. Bedroom 1 has double bed and bedroom 2 has 1 single and 1 bunk bed. An inflatable mattress is also available. Our separate storeroom a barbecue, body boards, garden chairs and a parasol with stand. A cot and high chair are available at 10 euros each per visit or 15 euros for the two if booked together. Must be booked in advance please. Outside: Plenty of car parking at front of building. Rear balcony giving nice views towards the mountains (Sierra Algoroba) and main balcony looking out over the pool and the Bay of Mazarron. Gardens surrounding pool at sea side of building, set to lawn, with flower beds etc. Poolside chairs supplied. Utility Room: Utility off kitchen with water heater, butler sink and automatic washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen included. Property cleaned before and at end of stay (we have no end-of-stay cleaning fee)
