A special place

  • 5 of 5

This the second time I have stayed here with 5 girlfriends. We all went to school together and as we all live in different places across the county we wanted somewhere that was easy for us all to get to. It's so cosy with everything you need, fabulous comfy beds (that can either be single or double) and two great bathrooms. Muted, chic decoration and divine bed linen. It has two kitchens as I think the cottage can be rented as two separate homes. We just made on the booze kitchen! We went into Leek for a wander around and also on a walk in the blowing fresh wind. We stayed in each night and cooked and caught up with each other. When life is busy with work, family and children, with a couple of us having quite a tough year for one reason or another, to stop and just sit talk and laugh, get some fresh air and away from it all was just the best. We all had a super weekend in a fantastic place, with two lovely owners who made us feel very welcome indeed. Loved every minute.

Fantastic cottage

  • 5 of 5

A great cottage with the benefit of two kitchens and bathrooms which was very handy as we are a family of 5 adults and 2 children. It was well equipped with plenty of fridge and freezer space in each kitchen and everything we needed. It was very comfortable with underfloor heating downstairs, huge comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. The owners Michelle and Jason were lovely and made us feel very welcome, there was fresh bread and jam waiting for us along with basics such as tea and sugar. We arrived early and Michelle and Jason allowed us to get into the cottage straight away which helped us settle the children after a long journey.

The children especially enjoyed seeing the donkeys and looked forward to feeding the hens that came to see us each day. Our toddler loved the Wendy house and the toys that had been provided, there is also a play area in the village just a few minutes walk away. We had a great holiday and are looking forward to returning and would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
