We bought this house (in 2013) after holidaying in this area for over 15 years firstly with a young family and now with grown up children. We are planning to stay in our house for our winters as we find the UK too cold. Please enjoy your stay but look after our home as your own. Thank you

Lovely Property

This was a spacious and well equipped property which exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms are all a good size and the views on the three balconies/terraces get better as you climb higher in the house. The air conditioning is very effective and we kept nice and cool even in the very high temperatures.The pools are well kept and clean and no one seemed to mind our children using inflatables and balls in the pool.

A car is essential which is the only downside we could see as it is nice to be able to walk somewhere. However there is plenty to see in the local area with a car and we would love to visit the property again.

I am not someone who normally writes reviews, even after a good holiday, however, after our visit to Magna Manilva I feel compelled to write this time.

Having used Owners Direct many times previously, once again we found the accommodation which best suited our needs. Travelling in our party was a family of seven including children aged 11, 9 and 6 and two Nan's.

The property details described on the website suited all our needs and as soon as we made contact with Denzil and Jackie we knew it was the holiday for us.

Their enthusiasm was fantastic and really made us comfortable knowing we were booking the right holiday for our family. From start to finish Denzil and Jackie were easily contactable and if we needed any advise or help nothing seemed too much trouble for them, which was very reassuring.

The information pack emailed to us was very informative. Directions from Malaga airport to the house were really easy to follow. Recommendations for places to visit was most informative and we visited most of them.

The property itself is exactly as it says on the website, very spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Facilities were like home from home including Sky TV full package and a film channel with over 300 films, many not yet on DVD and free to watch. This was very handy when the children were chilling out inside.

Outside are three good sized swimming pools. Most of the time we were the only people using them which, considering we were there in August was unbelievable.

A hire car is a must. Lots of restaurants, shops and supermarkets are close at hand with the use of a car.

We highly recommend this property and will visit again ourselves.

Great spacious family house, recommended.

We recently stayed for 5 nights to attend a wedding in the area. Our group consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents, a toddler and a baby. We really appreciated the space within the house so we weren't living on top of each other. The basement family room is vast and the 2 grandparents each had a double en-suite bedroom to themselves.

The family room doesn't have it's own bathroom. There is a toilet on the ground floor and then the 2 en-suite bathrooms on the first floor to be shared. Fine for a family group though.

Everything was exactly as described. There is parking for 2 cars at the front of the house. It is located in a small gated complex of around 40 houses which itself is within a larger secured conurbation about 10 minutes drive from Sotogrande Marina. It felt very safe and secure and the neighbours we met were all very friendly. Great views of Gibraltar and occasionally as far as Africa!

Denzil and Jackie couldn't have been more helpful right through every stage of the process. Highly recommended.

Very good place to stay, highly recommended

We stayed for 10 days in the late July - early August weeks. The house is exactly as advertised, or even better. It is very spacious (four floors, five bedrooms and a very large terrace to enjoy dinners looking at Gibraltar and the African coast). It is perfectly furnished, with all the amenities you would usually require. We had some days during our holidays when we felt like doing nothing and just reading and relaxing, and the house really is suited to just doing that. Air conditioning functioned in all rooms, which was helpful even if the heat was not as bad as we initially expected. The property is in a closed community with three swimming pools: usually we were the only persons using them or at most we had to share them with another family. The property is halfway between Manilva and Sotogrande: a car is a must, otherwise you will find it difficult to get in or out of the place.

The location is very convenient if you plan to travel in Malaga or Cadiz. We visited some of Malaga's "white towns" (don't miss Ronda and Casares), spent a day in Gibraltar (the views of the Rock from the house are spectacular) and went to several beach towns in the area (Sotogrande, Estepona, etc.). Malaga city itself is also worth a visit (it is about a 1 hour drive from Manilva). There are several supermarkets, shops, bars, etc. very conveniently located within a 10 minute drive from the house.

The owners were really helpful at every step. Overall, I would highly recommend the property if you are planning on visiting the area.

Surrounded by beaches on the coast all with parking and beach bars. Beautiful beaches close by.


Malaga airport is one hour away and Gibraltar 20 minutes. Car hire is essential because of location of house being in the hills


Nearest village 5 minutes with supermarkets, banks, tapas bars, churches. Gibraltar 20 minute drive and Cadiz with amazing beaches and nice for a day trip is a 45 minute drive. La Duquesa port with many restaurants, bars etc is also 5 minutes drive from the house.
