We also run a summer season and with the addition of the JACUZZI in the garden (refreshing in the summer and hot and steamy in the winter) we feel set for both summer and winter seasons, helping our clients with local knowledge of the area, places to visit, eat and to enjoy this vast fertile but mountainous area. This is a wonderful base for exploring the Aosta Valley with its, castles, vineyards, cheese making factories and an abundance of outdoor sports and the winter ski resort is ideal for both beginners and experienced skiers with the option of also going to La Thuile and Courmayeur all on one ski pass!!

Why jane stanton chose Sarre

IN SUMMER-We are centrally located for exploring the whole of the Aosta Valley during the summer months plus there is brilliant skiing during winter with 3 other resorts in close proximity which you can go to all on one ski pass. We love the Italian people, the food, the ambience and the wine is of course fantastico!!

Jane is an English teacher and can offer English lessons to visitors at the chalet, David is a squash coach and is happy to play or coach anyone anytime of the year and he's also a reasonable Tennis player and always up for a game in the summer. Both David and Jane taught jive at the surrey university so if you fancy learning jive they are happy to accommodate a lesson or two!

The property is set amongst vineyards but just 5 minutes from the lovely Roman City of Aosta.

We have useful local knowledge, however the area is vast and we discover more and more each day.

The area is steeped in history & is a wine growing area, also making cheese & growing fruits of many kinds. It is very agricultural and particularly cow farming is very prevalent.

There is a huge abundance of outdoor activities which you can see listed on our website. There are castles, art galleries, concerts and wood carving is a much loved Valdostaine work

IN WINTER the area has a snow sure record ALWAYS opening by 2nd week December often by end of November! We are just 5 minutes drive from the ski lifts and there is FREE parking at the lift. We have a minibus to ferry our catered guests to and from the lifts. We offer FREE SKI LESSONS and guiding with a great package to make your ski holiday the best! LESSONS are in groups of 2-4 giving you the best advantage to improve your skiing. Privacy in your own apartment allows you to self cater on our evenings off.

Perfect accommodation perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment had everything we needed travelling with baby and a dog. There were great views across the valley and found we were perfectly located to explore Aosta and the surrounding valleys. Jane and David were the perfect hosts, accessible, friendly and willing to share their local knowledge. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely chalet, dream hosts

  • 5 of 5

Between our party we took the middle and upper apartments. Jane and David were most helpful both before and during our stay (mountain biking in Pila).

The apartments were hard to fault at all and they suited our needs perfectly.

The photographs really don't do this place justice, it's far nicer than we thought.

A beautiful place with amazing hosts

  • 5 of 5

We love this area - there is so much to do and see. The mountain views and walks arestunning - we can never see too many lakes and waterfalls.

The apartment is well equipped, has lots of space and is wonderfully cool after a day in the sun. Jane and Dave have information on so many activities and love to chat in the evening around the jacuzzi finding out where you have been and what you have done. They can book activities for you and even give you tours of the local vineyards.

We have now stayed here in both seasons and really hope to visit again soon

Yes we do like a chat and its great to hear about peoples adventures. Thanks so much and hope to see you soon David and Jane

Beautiful area, fine apartments

  • 3 of 5

We (10 cyclists) wanted to rent the whole house, unfortunately this was not possible since the owners were living on the ground floor. Using the garden and jacuzzi was therefore also less tentative. The top 2 apartments were fine though and could hold all 10 of us. They provide beautiful views of the valley and it is a good starting point for making beautiful cycling trips in the area.

Owner's Response: You were very welcome to use the garden and the Jacuzzi. The clients this week have used it every day so it really isn't a problem. We hope you enjoyed your stay and pass our details on to others and perhaps we will see you in the winter for skiing with our free ski lessons and guiding kind regards David and Jane

Would like to keep it a secret....

  • 5 of 5

Have just returned from a fabulous week away staying with Jane and David (and the dogs!). Chalet was fantastic and the top floor apartment we rented had everything we needed. The communal breakfasts and catered for evenings were wonderful and food was AMAZING...even for a fussy eater like me! The hospitality of not just the hosts but also the students was second to none and couldn't do enough for us; the skiing lessons were a real bonus and we have all improved. I would love to keep this place a secret but only for selfish reasons as they already get advance/repeat bookings so my advice is don't leave it too long to book up or you may be disappointed. Hoping to book again (sorry Jane and David) you'll have to put up with us again 🤗?
