Traditionally finished modern chalet located in a quiet quarter of town on the hillside with a very open and sunny position with stunning views of the Chamonix valley and Mont Blanc.

4 traditional bedrooms (2 ensuite + 2 with adjacent bathroom) accommodate 8 people. One bedroom is a double and the others can be prepared as doubles or twin rooms.

Spacious living area with wood burning stove and stunning views across the Chamonix valley towards Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Aiguilles. Large, well appointed open plan kitchen and dining area. Extensive south facing wooden terrace which is fully enclosed by tall jardineres and fencing making it child friendly.

Garage parking for one car with additional outside covered parking space on drive.

Why Paul Evans chose Haute-Savoie

Chamonix is a wonderful town nestled at the foot of the most dramatic mountain landscape you can imagine. It is not renowned as the mountaineering capital of the world for nothing. It is extremely accessible from Geneva being an hours drive away. And it is centrally located to allow you to visit Italy through the MB tunnel, a short drive through into the Swiss Valais region or out of the Chamonix valley to visit the beautiful Limestone hills and mountains of the Haute Savoie.

The area is a playground for climbing, walking, biking, paragliding...or you can just sit back in the sun and take in the peace and quiet of the mountains and enjoy the local food and wine.

What makes this chalet unique

The property is just 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of town but it is located in a quiet and authentic quarter of the town. It is situated on a S facing hillside with stunning views across to the world famous Chamonix Aiguilles and Mont Blanc.

In the winter the Brevent ski lift is only a 400m level walk away but you can also visit 3 other ski areas within a few minutes drive, experience the famous off-piste ski down the Vallee Blanche or pop through the Mont Blanc tunnel for some lovely sunny relaxed skiing in Courmayeur.

In summer the town offers something for everyone: for the ambitious there is high level mountaineering but the valley offers beautiful and easily accessible trail walking and running, mtn biking and there are numerous sports activities for the children.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: There is free WiFi access throughout the chalet and there is also a small office area and desk on the 2nd floor mezzanine area. In the living area there is a HiFi with internet radio and connections for iPod/iPhone/MP3 player etc. Outside: At the front of the chalet on the first floor is a very large private terrace bordered on all sides by large jardinières containing miniature alpine shrubs and trees. The terrace is south facing with panoramic views over across the Chamonix valley to the Chamonix Aiguilles and the Mont Blanc range. There is a fence and gate to the rear so that the area is secure for children. There is a portable barbecue for outside cooking on those long balmy summer evenings¡ Utility Room: Washer/Dryer machine and separate sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are provided. Typically cleaning is done and linen changed every 2 weeks but please contact me if you wish weekly changes and I can discuss the costs. Other: Large Double garage with parking for 1 car and storage for skis/outdoor equipment. There is also parking for one extra car outside the garage on a private drive:please note that the driveway is quite steep and under ice can be difficult w/o snow chains

A group of eight stayed at the chalet over February half term. Prior to our stay, Paul responded quickly and thoroughly to any queries we had. We were emailed careful directions to the chalet from the town which became very useful as we arrived following a heavy snowfall.

Once we arrived, we were greeted by Nigel, the property manager, who was exceptional.

The chalet is beautiful, views incredible and every facility we could have hoped for - it truly felt like home for a week.

It is located about a ten minute walk from the main town and bus stops (steep hill included) but is very close to Brevent where you can get a lift up the slopes.

We can not recommend this chalet enough and once again would like to thank you! A fantastic holiday!
