Recommend you bring Surge Plug for charging Laptop/Mobile Phone as power failures are frequent and voltage surges are not uncommon. Completely equipped Kitchen, Bathroom with Shower, Bath, WC and Wash Basin. Main entry with cane chairs overlooks Pool and doubles as balcony to sit out. No 1 Bedroom has French Doors overlooking Swimming Pool with Hotel size Safe for Passports/ valuables located in Wardrobe. Property has split level A/C's and Ceiling Fans in both Bedrooms and Living Room. Kitchen has Ceiling Fan. Also Iron, Ironing Board and Airer for washing clothes.

We (4adults 60+) stayed for 15 nights from March 24th 2015. We could not fault it. There is everything you could possibly need for your comfort and convenience. The complex is exactly as described in the booking section regarding distances etc. We found using the back gate was the best way to get to the main road, 5mins or so.if you need to stock up then use Newtons and get a cab. We never paid more than 150 rupees from anywhere in candolim. Michael the owner could not have been more gracious and helpful during the booking process even supplying Santosh to do the airport transfers. Highly recommended.

Our family, two aduts and three children (one baby), stayed in Villa Rosa for a month and the apartment was super! It is large, much larger than it looks on the photos. It is clean, everything works perfectly and very silent (which is hard to find in Goa...). It is situated 5 min and 15 seconds from the high street, if you walk in a normal pace. It is another 7 minutes to the sea. The apartment is very well equiped with everything you need. Michael is a super good host! He fixed everything we asked for and is very generous. If you need a reference please ask Michael for your contact details and we will tell you more about this perfect palace/place!

Tranquility apartment at Villa Rosa

A most impressive apartment, larger than expected from the photos very well equipped and in a lovely situation overlooking the pool and gardens. Tranquility is spotless, airy and comfortable.

It is an easy 10 min stroll to the main road where many shops and eateries are to be found but if you wish to stay nearby try Ryanz bar , a small basic shack for a cool beer and one of the best veg biryanis I have eaten and at a bargain price. We also visited Top Nosh a few times and of course Victor's which remains my favorite place to enjoy excellent food.

We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to stay there again on our next holiday in Candolim

I brought the Apartment as it was near to Candolim High Street but far enough away from the traffic and tourists. Ideal two bedroom Apartment on the ground floor on a well maintained Compound built and maintained to Western Standards, by Acron. Ideal for short and long stays it is well supported with 24x7 Security, Swimming Pool, full time Gardner's and the housing density is low. It is convenient and easy to walk to the Shops, Beach and Bars. I like it with all local amenities, cheap to live and a good climate.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Goa Airport at 35 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Nearby Hotels at 50 Metres Nearest Train : at 17 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Nearby Hotels/Shacks at 50 Metres Nearest Beach : Candolim at 900 Metres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

Candolim Beach.

Lots to see plus Boat trips including seeing (chasing) the Dolphins at play.

Or its down to the Beaches, eat at the Beach Shacks.


Good veg market, near roundabout.

All the Banks and ATM's in Candolim and Calangute.

Beaches are good with lots of little shops near the front selling everything.

North of Calangute.

Britto's Restaurant on Bagga Beach is a must and the food is good.

Anjuna, Vagator, Morjim and Mendram Beaches are very good, Chapora Fort above Vagator.

Special Interest

Trips to local waterfalls and jungle trekking, old Portuguese forts are about an hour away by car.

Historical Churches (Portuguese) are mainly in Panaji but there are many others scattered around Goa.


Panaji is 30 minutes by Taxi.

Good old Portuguese city.

There are many static Cruise Boat Casino's moored in the Estuary at Panaji for those who like a gamble. Locals are barred from entry to the Casino's.

Mapusa is 15 minutes away with lots of shops and second in size to Panaji.


Nearest beach is about 10 minutes walk.

Taj Hotel/Fort Aguada 15+ minutes walk away.

By car the choice of beaches is vast.


By car from Goa Airport to Candolim - 1 hour.

I can provide my Representative with his Taxi to meet you at the Airport.

Cost estimate 1000-1500 Rupees depending on the time of year.

Apart from the Charter Airlines who fly direct, Qatar/Etihad/Jet/Air India/Oman Airways cater for the tourist to. All fly from London for example, with connecting flights from their respective Hubs in Doha, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai and Muscat, to Goa.


Candolim High Street is less than 10 minutes walk.

Sea trips, visiting Spice Gardens, Jungle trekking etc., can be organised and paid for at local Tourist shops in Candolim or with my Driver.

Calangute is about a 10 minute taxi ride with good beach and shops.

Panaji (Capital) is about 30 minutes away.

Further Details:

There are many eateries in Candolim, also we have the Golden Tulip Hotel & Sukhantra Hotel behind Complex very convenient for a quick meal reasonably priced.

Still cheap by Western standards, 4-5 pounds each, but nice places to eat. The Fortune Hotel is nearby which I like. It is a very good and popular Hotel and all said and done with a buffet lunch and dinner for outside customers.

There is the Shack Bar at the end of the lane leading from the rear exit of the Compound behind my Apartment called Ryanz. The views of the valley are nice, the food is cheap and basic, no windows and a tarp for a roof. Worth a try, I use it for meals from time to time.

The Stone House Restaurant and Bar at the end of road (Candolim High Street) leading to the Complex is good food wise as well as live music in the evenings - takes some beating in my book and prices are very keen I eat there often. Also Ruffles Restaurant on the main road opposite the road up past the Ryanz from the Apartment. They do very good English food including Breakfast. Recommend their Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding on Sundays, but its all good and they have live music in the evenings to. You can ask for something and usually they will cook it. Lots of shack Cafes on Candolim Beach 10 - 15 minutes walk from Apartment all good value and to many to recommend a good or bad one. Banks and ATM's in Candolim and Calangate.

The Apartments and Villas are very private, quiet, which is a unusual in India, well maintained and never busy as most Owners only stay for short periods. So expect no more than 10-15 people on site at any one time, apart from the Christmas Period (High Season) when most of the Units are full.

  • Notes on accommodation: Pleasantly furnished, with all mod cons. *Inverter which provides emergency power to Light Circuit and Fridge in case of power cuts, which unfortunately does happen. Easy access to the Pool, being on ground floor, with a small balcony to sit reading a book with a drink. Candolim beach about 900 meters and Calangute beach near by, other beaches are at Bagga, Vagator, Morjim and Mandrem some 20 minutes or so away. Outside: Apartment overlooks the communal Swimming Pool. (50'x 30' approx) There are plastic chairs stored in the C/D Block stair well which can be used as poolside furniture, or take one of my cane chairs down to the Pool. The whole complex is a mixture of grass, plants, bushes and Mango trees with a 2 meter local stone perimeter wall. Sentry Box/Guard at the Entrance, 24 hours. Compound has its own Water Well. Two Hotels behind Complex, Golden Tulip and the Sukhamtra Resort & Spa - both serve food to visitors, the Fortune Hotel is nearby the Complex with the Ryanz Bar (Shack really) next door. Dryer in Gym, but I find it quicker to put washing on Airer provided to dry. Utility Room: A Tumble Dryer located in small Gym next door. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The Apartment will be cleaned and serviced by the Maid Service prior to your arrival and every seven days thereafter. Additional cleaning can be arranged locally for a small charge by our Representative during you stay. Welcome packs by request. Other: Balcony has Cane Chairs and small table overlooking pool.
