The huge benefit to this house is how child friendly it is – there’s loads of children’s toys, travel cot and changing table. The pool has a very high secure, removable safety fence and the garden is totally sealed off. We were really able to relax not having to worry about what the kids were getting up to.

Great base for family holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

As a second home. it is much better appointed than most holiday villas. The kitchen lacked for nothing. Furniture is of high quality throughout.

Children loved the pool and covered chill out space. The pool safety fence is easy to use and secure.

The separate outside dining area with BBQ has electric awning providing a pleasant spot for lunch or evening dining.

Although a car is essential, there are many beaches and local villages within easy reach.

The owners take great care in ensuring you are happy and well informed both during the booking process and the stay itself.

This is an ideal base for a relaxed holiday with young children.

We searched for a house in this area for a long time and decided we wanted to have a characterful stone house in one of the medieval villages in the Emporda countryside, not more than 15 minutes from the sea.

Further Details:

Torroella de Montgri is a 5-min drive away. It has several supermarkets, locally-supplied butchers, fishmongers and grocers, and a 24-hr health clinic.

The village of Serra de Darò has a small shop with all basic supplies.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a deposit equal to 30% of the total cost in order to secure your booking. The remaining balance of 70%, plus a further 20% deposit, is payable 8 weeks before your stay. This second deposit, less the cost of any breakages or extraordinary cleaning, will be returned to you within 10 days of the end of your stay.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday, EXCEPT for the month of June 2015 when arrival and departure days can be negotiated.
On arrival day the house will be available from 17:00 and on departure day it should be vacated by 10:00.

A deposit of 30% of the total reservation fee is required to secure a booking. 8 weeks prior to the stay, the remaining balance is due, plus a deposit of 20% of the total fee which will be returned within 7 days of leaving the property without damages and in a good state.

  • Notes on accommodation: The rebuilding of the house was completed just 8 years ago. It was done by the builder for his own use to high specifications. The current owners purchased the property directly from the builder in early 2013. The refurbishment, fixtures and fittings are of high quality. As parents of small children, the owners have equipped the property with travel cot, nappy-changing table and the all-important swimming-pool security fence, which is easy to erect. Perfect for a family with three generations: grandparents, parents and children! Outside: The garden is enclosed and a good size. The lawn with automatic sprinkler system occupies most of the plot, which is bordered by lavender, roses and other flowers. The pool is 6m by 3m, chlorine-free and well-maintained. Both the pool and the garden receive a lot of sunlight, and there are sunloungers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Large and small towels, as well as pool towels, are provided. There are two hair dryers. Other: The farmhouse has an enclosed, private garden with private pool. There is off-street parking on the driveway accessed through an automatic gate. Off the kitchen and garden there is a covered "chill-out" area with sofa and chairs, and a table seating 8.
