Great Property in Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with the property which was clean and well-kept. Great location in a small village near the beach and Porthmadog - but within very easy reach of Snowdonia with all it's attractions. We have no complaints at all.

Couldn't be better

  • 5 of 5

Marvelous accommodation in a great setting. Arrived to find place so clean you could quite literally have eaten off the floors! Beds were so comfortable though after walking up moel-y-gest for first time in 40 years and long walks along the splendid Black Rock Sands would probably have slept soundly on a wooden board. First beach and mountain for Sammy the dog who has loved his stay. Place is equipped with everything you could possibly want - even to extent of dog bowls! Cannot speak highly enough and will definitely be back.

Capel Nazareth at Morfa Bychan

Very clean and neat cottage. Conviienent location for visiting all of Snowdoia. Close to Port Merion, Harlech, Caernarfon and Snowdon. Easy access to beach and numerous walks from vicinity of cottage. For three of us lots of space.

Nice cottage, good location, everything works

  • 4 of 5

Property was clean & tidy. Wi-Fi & TV worked well.

Kitchen was very dark - could use more light there once sun has gone down. Everything worked in the kitchen (though didn't try the washing machine)

Nice views of golf course & Moel-Y-Gest.

Electricity is a bit expensive, especially the hot water.

Property is easily big enough for 6 people

Fine private car park (shared with next door cottage)

Owner very helpful - arranged to have a watch which had been left behind posted to us.

I'd happily go again

Owner's Response: It is great when a guest writes in their review that they would stay with us again, thank you. Glad you found everything clean and tidy and that you made use of the unlimited broadband. We have tried to make our holiday let as green as possible, it is very well insulated and we have used low energy light bulbs where ever possible, these bulbs do take a little longer to reach full brightness. We do not charge our guests the full price of the electricity used but by charging something we can keep the rental price down and maintain our green ethos. The plenty of off road parking is a definite bonus. I was happy to return your watch to you and you are welcome back anytime to admire the views again. All the best Alan

Two lovely cottages

  • 5 of 5

I booked to stay at both the cottages with my family and from the initial enquiry I was very impressed at the quick response and communication from Alan. We have stayed nearby before and I noticed the cottages last year and thought they looked lovely and we were not disappointed.

The cottages were modern, well designed and fully stocked with everything we needed. They were very clean and no equipment was broken. There were 7 adults and 6 children and there was plenty of room for us all. The cottages are ideally placed and not far to the beach, local shop and chippy and right opposite the golf course which has a fab walk up the mountain just behind. We were all so impressed that we have already booked for next year. Had a wonderful time and can highly recommend these properties. Thanks so much Alan

Fantastic Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Loved this cottage - we had both cottages for a family group so being able to access the other cottage through the middle door was superb, whilst having our own space when we needed it.

This cottage has been finished to a very high standard and has lots of useful items already there - drying room, loads of cooking pans and an all important washing machine.

The local shops are very close and provide most things you need. Porthmadog is very close and easy to reach. None of us had mobile signal in the cottage (O2) but had skype which worked just fine on the wifi in the cottage.

The kids loved the proximity of the beaches - both the sandy one a short walk from the cottage as well as the excellent black sands beach a few miles away. The location is ideal for visiting castles, getting to the snowdonia national park and lots of caves to explore close by.

We had a wonderful week and would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your review and thank you for pointing out that the adjoining doors can be unlocked and opened up providing access to both holiday cottages but can be closed off if needed. I am pleased that you found the holiday let finished to a high standard with extra facilities like the drying room coming in useful. I agree that the location is in an ideal spot for exploring the local area and I would like to thank you for recommending our holiday let. Regards Alan

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Black Rocks Sands beach is a 5-10 minute walk down "beach road". Or you drive on the main road to the beach where you can also park your car free of charge.

Travel:

The town of Portmadog is a 5 minute drive away.

Distances:

A very good local shop ( Spar ) is 300 meters up the road. The post office is located in side. A chip shop is next to the Spar along with a shop selling bit and bobs for a day on the beach.
