From 29th August to 9th November, Blackpool Illuminations sees this seaside city of fun still buzzing with excitement and laughter long after other resorts have gone into winter hibernation. The Blackpool Illuminations consist of almost every kind of light display you can imagine: lasers, neon, light bulbs, fibre optics, searchlights and floodlighting. As you can imagine there is so much to entertain the family that you could not possibly fit it all into one trip.

About Frances Findlay

We have had a business in Kefalonia for almost 20 years. We had two children and now live both in Kefalonia and the U.K.. It is a family run business, building and managing villas. We manage, clean and maintain all our villas to a very high standard. This property was purchased as a home base and as we only are in the U.K. for a period of time, we decided to holiday let it when we are away. It is located in an ideal area close to many tourist attractions and yet far enough away to be a quiet get away.

Frances Findlay purchased this bungalow in 2012

New Year's Break 2016

  • 5 of 5

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely bungalow. It's ideally situated to explore the area. We didn't use the car at all! We walked to the Village which has everything you need. We walked to the Promenade in Cleveleys which takes approx 1hr and also walked to The Wyre Estuary Country Park approx 25 mins walk. The dogs loved it and we feel completely relaxed after a busy family Christmas. Thank You France's for letting us stay! 🙂

Fab time

  • 4 of 5

Great property in a lovely residential area. Plenty space and well equipped. Only downfall was the wifi didn't work and my kids complained that the trampoline in the pictures wasn't there. However they wouldn't have had time for it with all the fun things to do in nearby blackpool which was a 20 minute drive away. I would definitely come back to this property again.

Lovely

We had a lovely stay at the bungalow. The rooms were very inviting and a good size. The children enjoyed playing in the garden. The bungalow was perfect for what we needed.

needs updating

  • 2 of 5

Liked the area, but the property is in dire need of updating. The bed was awful, very uncomfortable.

Missing a trick without an update on the property, because it is in a very nice spot.

Very nice little bungalow

  • 4 of 5

We have stayed in the bungalow 3 times now and always enjoy our time there. It's in a lovely quiet area and yet is close enough to Cleveleys and Blackpool. The owners are very friendly and helpful and always communicate quickly.

Smashing little bungalow

  • 5 of 5

We booked this bungalow at very short notice because it was ideally located for us when travelling to attend a family funeral. The owner was both pleasant and easy to deal with. We were very impressed with the bungalow's general cleanliness, coziness, comfort of the lounge area and bedrooms, and how very well equipped it was. We regularly stay in holiday cottages and the beds, bedding and pillows were the most comfortable we've encountered anywhere.

It's in a lovely quiet area too and is not overlooked at all. We will have no hesitation at all in rebooking again when we want to visit the Blackpool area and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to others.

The only slight point I would make is that the back patio area isn't enclosed if you want to let dogs out, but we let ours out on extender leads and so it wasn't a problem for us and certainly wouldn't put us off in the future.
