Castaway Cottage in Trevone, Cornwall - Castaway Cottage Is Situated In A Quiet Lane Close To The Popular Sandy Beach In Trevone.

Castaway Cottage was built in 2006 and has been finished to a very high specification, featuring all mod-cons and is situated in a quiet lane in the heart of the quaint village of Trevone and only about 100 metres from a sandy beach. Trevone is a delightful village with two beaches, a general store, beach car parks, a pub and a surf store. The main sandy beach is a beautiful cove with the famous ‘Round Hole’ on the cliff top, which is life guarded (dog prohibited) during the summer months. Just around the bay is Rocky Beach, perfect for rock pooling, shell collecting and also featuring a natural swimming pool. Surfing and body boarding are very popular in Trevone and nearby Harlyn Bay with many local surf schools that teach all age groups.

About the Owner

We are a small family business specialising in producing comfortable 'home from home' type holiday cottages in Cornwall, Devon and the Cotswolds. Each of our properties featured are owned and managed by ourselves. The benefit of this is that we know each property personally and this helps us provide a better service. Many of our guests return on a regular basis and some come by recommendation. If you are new to us you will find 'the team' to be efficient and helpful even to the extent of helping you to find the property that suits your holiday requirements best. It is important to us to provide a service of good quality and we are always happy to hear from our visitors with ideas or suggestions to help improve the service.

The picturesque fishing port of Padstow, home of Rick Stein's seafood restaurant is less than two miles away and a similar distance away the Trevose Golf and Country Club. The North Cornwall coast is an ‘Area of Outstanding Beauty’ surrounded by open cliffs and farmland. The Camel Trail is close by - a great cycle ride for all ages and abilities and a wonderful day out. The Padstow to Wadebridge section, with a stop for lunch is just right if you have children with you. Bicycles can be hired from Bridge Bike Hire.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of a third of the full amount will be needed when the booking is made with the final balance due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.

Generally short breaks are accepted from October – end of March but we will accept a short break booking in the high season, if we have availability close to the time.

Changeover Day:
Whilst short breaks are accepted from October - end of March. The changeover day in the Mid - High season is on a Saturday.

Notes on prices:
Short break prices are calculated on a percentage basis, taking into account maximum occupancy e.g. 2 nights - 75%, 3 nights – 80% and 4 nights – 85% of the full weekly price and 5 – 7 nights will cost the full weekly price
Please note that the full price includes electricity, central heating, bed linen, towels and VAT.

The deposit needed at the point of booking is a third of the full amount and the final balance is due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.

  • Outside: To the outside is a well enclosed courtyard garden as well as a parking space. Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional £30 each, per week or short break stay. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is provided plus a white bath sheet and a bath towel per person. We do ask you to take your own Beach towels.
