About Christele

John and Christele moved from Yorkshire to Lincolnshire twelve years ago. They fell in love with The Forge and completely restored the property in the quiet residential village of Hemswell. One of the very few villages with a maypole. Christele is a full time ceramic artist, and John is an engineer who enjoys doing aerobatics.

Christele purchased this cottage in 2006

Why Christele chose West Lindsey

We chose The Forge in Hemswell because it offers the best of two worlds. On the one hand it is rural, tranquil and secluded yet within easy reach from major motorways and airports. ( M180/M18/A46/A1) (East Midlands/Doncaster-Sheffield/Humberside)

On one side going East we can readily access the coast and the Lincolnshire Wolds on the other side going West, we can readily access the rest of the country.

Kirton Lindsay only a few miles away offers nice village shops and amenities (butcher, baker, newsagent, small Coop, beautician, Indian restaurant...) with its own working windmill. Hemswell Antique Centre less than a mile away is a definite attraction.

We have a dog and enjoy walks, the area has plenty of footpaths and bridleways. I used to cycle and the rural back roads are a delight.

We love Lincoln, a quaint interesting pleasant town with a good range of entertainment from cultural to casual and good restaurants.
