Churchside guest apartment is a private and self contained one bedroom annexe to Churchside house in the village of Littlebury Green, 3 miles from the attractive market town of Saffron Walden. Churchside offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and a great location from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and local sights with easy access to London and Cambridge for day visits. There are numerous good walks straight from the front door, which can take in local pubs (for instance in Chrishall and Wendens Ambo). We hope that we have provided everything you need for a comfortable stay.

About Bridget Featherstone

Churchside Guest Apartment is the self contained annex to Churchside House. My family and I have lived at Churchside for the last four years but it has only been in the spring of this year when we decided to rent out the apartment for holidays. We hope that it will provide a good base for happy holidays in the area, it certainly is a fabulous area to live in and we think it is would also be a great area to holiday in.

John and Julie June 2013 (2 nights): We enjoyed our stay here, has everything you need. Clean and modern. The garden area was really sweet and pretty. Very confortable stay and would recommend to friends and family. Bridget was lovely and welcoming.

Jan and Paul July 2013 (7 nights): We needed somewhere quiet and this was ideal. I did some lovely walks with the dog as advised by Jeremy, We will certainly be back as we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you both.

Notes on accommodation: One dog is welcome. If you have more than one dog or other pets to accomodate please enquire. There is free internet connection in the apartment although due to our rural location this may be slower than other locations, however it is perfectly OK for email, searches etc. Outside: The south facing secluded courtyard garden has a wrought iron table and two chairs. There are a further two wooden chairs for your comfort and convenience. Towels / Linen : Towels and bed linen are included. Cancellation Policy A 20% deposit is payable to secure the booking. This is non refundable. Full payment is required at least 2 weeks prior to the date of arrival. Plenty of room, despite its size; very comfortable furnishings and bed; well equipped kitchen; good sized tv; bright and airy, with nice views and peaceful setting. Cambridge, Saffron Walden, Bury St Edmunds and Long Melford within easy distance on relatively quiet roads. All in all, everything a self catering place should be.

A hidden gem!

My wife and I were looking for something quiet and relaxing to get away from stresses and strains from everyday life and we weren't disappointed with Churchside Annexe. Situated in a small, quiet village, Littleberry Green, in beautiful Essex countryside, it served as a great base to visit Saffron Walden, Cambridge, RAF Duxford and Audley End House. Bridget greeted us on our arrival and assured us nothing was too much trouble. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, light and airy with tasteful decor. The bedroom and bed were spotless and comfortable. We had several good nights sleep and even had a couple of 'lie-ins', which is unusual for us as we are normally early birds! The bathroom was also spotless and smelled clean and fresh and also has a more than capable shower. The kitchen and living room is open plan and ticks all the boxes for comfort and functionality.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay, looked after by people who care to make sure your stay is as stress free as possible. If we are down here again, we will have no hesitation in booking Churchside Annexe again. Thank you Bridget!

Lovely Place

This property has everything you could wish for in cleanliness, and everything has been done to a high spec, The countryside around the cottage is good for walking and seeing the heron in the tree top in the morning.Check out the red phone box in the village.
