Churchside guest apartment is a private and self contained one bedroom annexe to Churchside house in the village of Littlebury Green, 3 miles from the attractive market town of Saffron Walden. Churchside offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and a great location from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and local sights with easy access to London and Cambridge for day visits. There are numerous good walks straight from the front door, which can take in local pubs (for instance in Chrishall and Wendens Ambo). We hope that we have provided everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Churchside Guest Apartment is the self contained annex to Churchside House. My family and I have lived at Churchside for the last four years but it has only been in the spring of this year when we decided to rent out the apartment for holidays. We hope that it will provide a good base for happy holidays in the area, it certainly is a fabulous area to live in and we think it is would also be a great area to holiday in.

John and Julie June 2013 (2 nights): We enjoyed our stay here, has everything you need. Clean and modern. The garden area was really sweet and pretty. Very confortable stay and would recommend to friends and family. Bridget was lovely and welcoming.

My wife and I were looking for something quiet and relaxing to get away from stresses and strains from everyday life and we weren't disappointed with Churchside Annexe. Situated in a small, quiet village, Littleberry Green, in beautiful Essex countryside, it served as a great base to visit Saffron Walden, Cambridge, RAF Duxford and Audley End House. Bridget greeted us on our arrival and assured us nothing was too much trouble. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, light and airy with tasteful decor. The bedroom and bed were spotless and comfortable. We had several good nights sleep and even had a couple of 'lie-ins', which is unusual for us as we are normally early birds! The bathroom was also spotless and smelled clean and fresh and also has a more than capable shower. The kitchen and living room is open plan and ticks all the boxes for comfort and functionality.
Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay, looked after by people who care to make sure your stay is as stress free as possible. If we are down here again, we will have no hesitation in booking Churchside Annexe again. Thank you Bridget!
This property has everything you could wish for in cleanliness, and everything has been done to a high spec, The countryside around the cottage is good for walking and seeing the heron in the tree top in the morning.Check out the red phone box in the village.

A really lovely apartment for a relaxing weekend away. Close to Cambridge (used the Park and Ride). Comfortable, clean, well equipped. Totally private, only sounds were the birds and the church bell on Sunday morning! Highly recommend and would return. Accurate description. Perfect!
Spent a wonderful week not only because of the glorious weather but because Bridget has put much thought into making the annexe attractive and bright. Modern colours and choice of fabrics and furniture make it a special bolt hole. Highly recommended!
The apartment was clean and contained everything necessary for our 8-day stay, including on-site parking. The enclosed courtyard was really useful for dogs.
The location is beautiful , with many walks on the doorstep and many more in the surrounding area. It is a short drive from Saffron Walden and we found loads of CAMRA recommended pubs serving good food that were dog friendly.
Bridget & Jeremy were friendly and helpful and we will hopefully be returning next year.

Full payment is due 30 days before the arrival date. Any deposit paid is non refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 2 weeks before your arrival date you will not be liable for the total balance. Bookings will only be cancelled by ourselves if your accommodation was unavailable for any reason in which case we would refund the full amount paid. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Minimum stay 2 nights. Changeover day is flexible, please contact us. Arrival is generally after 3pm and departure by 10am unless otherwise arranged.
