"My wife and I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay at Bank Cottage. We both had a fantastic time, the cottage is cosy, well equipped and provides amazing views of the river Wye and surrounding valleys. We are already missing the cottage and look forward to coming and staying again. You have both been wonderful hosts, thank you for all your help and guidance."

Best holiday home we have ever stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

Wow just about sums it up. Fantastic location with a view to die for .... luckily it was mild enough for us to sit out and all we did was stare at it.

Internally was pretty perfect aswell. We didn't actually use the lounge much as we found ourselves sitting in the kitchen. We lit the log burner and it was lovely and cosy.

Reminded us so much of our own home with all the little quirky signs etc.

Good quality bedding, towels and crockery etc.

Really can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely property, amazing location with wonderful views.

  • 4 of 5

This is truly a lovely property, but the only thing "against" it is that it is high up on the side of a hill and, although you can walk into the village, it is VERY steep (it is very steep for a car also, and the roads are very narrow near the property!).

However, a lovely place with amazing views and nicely located for trips out into the Wye Valley!

The Wye valley itself has wonderful vistas, and there are lots of castles to visit, some in good condition.

Simply fabulous!!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is absolutely ideal for a get away from reality. The walks were beautiful but you need to be relatively fit as everything is in the hills. The views were spectacular. The road up was a little scary in parts so didn't really want to try it everyday. Our dogs loved it they would have stayed forever if they could.

Stunning views and fully equipped house to stay in

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed and once again it didn't disappoint. The views are stunning, photos just don't do it justice and the accommodation is very comfortable with all that you could wish for. There are numerous walks on your doorstep should you prefer not to drive, we were able to walk from the Cottage along the River Wye banks all the way to Monmouth (8 miles) and then caught a bus back. Within an hours travel we were able to have fly fishing lessons on the River Usk and on another Canoed down the River Wye - both highlights of the holiday. Veddw House gardens were close by and one day we went further afield top Worcester and visited some National Trust properties.

The weather was perfect the whole week - seeing the mist clear from the River Wye while eating toast and drinking tea on the raised decking was the perfect way to start the days.

We were able to take our dog who enjoyed the enclosed garden and all the walks.

If you book a holiday here you will not be disappointed!

What a gorgeous cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a really lovely 4 day stay at Bank cottage with our dog. We never go back to the same place twice but may well change habits to return to this lovely restful environment. The cottage is immaculate and well equipped but what really made it for us was sitting on the decking just taking in the wonderful views. Our dog had a great time doing the same thing and playing in the dog proof garden The weather was kind and after an initial struggle with the steep hill we mastered it and it was no problem. Be prepared for hills if walking around the cottage especially on returning from the village (though there is a longer less steep return)
