"My wife and I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay at Bank Cottage. We both had a fantastic time, the cottage is cosy, well equipped and provides amazing views of the river Wye and surrounding valleys. We are already missing the cottage and look forward to coming and staying again. You have both been wonderful hosts, thank you for all your help and guidance."

Quaint cottage in a stunningly beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

We were so pleased when we arrived. The cottage is very pretty and sitting on the side of the hill, so with amazing views of the valley below.

Inside is warm and homely, very well presented. We got the fires going quickly and the place becomes everything you want in the colder months :)

It's a lovely area for walks, beware the falling leaves making it slippery, but the owners have helpfully provided walking poles and umbrellas.

All in all, it was idyllic for a romantic getaway, we would most definitely visit again.

Spectacular views from a cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

Jean's lovely cottage was a favourite during our European tour. The cottage was exactly as described, and the views were beyond our expectation. I have but one cautionary comment to make - the "road" into the cottage is very narrow, only a single vehicle may pass, carefully. The pictures Jean sent in this regard were most helpful, but it is worth advising your customers. Did it affect our stay? No! But it would have been nice know ahead.

The property was clean and very well maintained. We truly enjoyed the gardens and yard, and the wonderful deck that provided an elevated view of the beautiful valley nestled below us. The Welcome basket was so thoughtful and the service was great. We would have no hesitations to recommend this property to friends or family.

We visited Tintern Abbey, a spectacular site of ruins which is only about 3 kms from the cottage. We also had dinner at a local restaurant called the Fountain Inn Restaurant. While it was off the beaten track, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. There is a corner store at the foot of the hill from the cottage which had all the basics and some very friendly folks.

Thanks for everything Jean. We had a wonderful time.

Amazing!

  • 4 of 5

We had an absolute wonderful stay. Although very short notice, everything was in perfect order.

The place is wonderful with the most amazing views and some lovely nooks an crannies, to sit, relax and enjoy the view.

We had our 2,5 year old boy with us and he didn't want to leave, he absolutely loved the place and the wonderful, almost fairytale like walks

we could make, just by walking out the door.

Was really nice to meet the hosts and the other couple who take care of the place as well. We would definitely like to come back some day

and stay a little longer.

I can recommend anyone to stay here!

Perfect family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time at Bank Cottage. It was very clean; the view from the deck is amazing; lots of space in the garden and completely away from the road. It truly has every convenience you could ask for. Communication with Jean was pleasant and efficient. We surely recommend staying here! Thanks!

Hidden in the hills; idyllic and quaint cottage that becomes your second home .

  • 5 of 5

Bank cottage offers a hidden hideaway in a stunning part of the wye valley. If you get good weather then the garden and deck are perfect to enjoy the views; we didn't even need to eat out at pubs or restaurants. The Kitchen was kitted out with everything you'd need.

Not often will a holiday rental exceed my expectations but bank cottage certainly did - you also have wonderful bush walking tracks on your doorstep , which was a real treat.

Only improvement would be having a washing machine but that was a minor inconvenience.

Look forward to returning in the future .
