This delightful rural cottage benefits from stunning views over the River Wye. The perfect location for a variety of outdoor activities offered in this area or just relax in the maintained quiet secluded garden. Llandogo is a small pretty village with a pub and restaurant, art gallery and a small store selling all the basics. Near Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle and racecourse. Close to Monmouth and only 10 miles from M4.

The cottage is situated high up on the side of the valley overlooking the River Wye and the surrounding countryside. It is in a quiet location but within walking distance of the local village store and pub. The perfect getaway for a peaceful relaxing break.

Outside: Beautiful maintained garden with parking for 2 cars and sensored lights. The large decked area has a gazebo, garden table & chairs, gas heater and BBQ. It overlooks the river Wye with extensive views down the valley, perfect for relaxing during the day or evening. There is also a small fish pond. Linen and towels included.

A home from home but with a fantastic view.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Bank Cottage. Very comfy beds and lovely fluffy towels. If you want to get away from it all this is the place. Kitchen had all you need. Will be booking again.

Beautiful cottage, Beautiful location.

A spacious property with its log burner and fire place made for a lovely cosy Christmas escape...very relaxing. The property is set in a good size garden which is fully enclosed and safe for both dogs and children.

The property is well equipped, very clean and homely. Great location with plenty of good walks and places to visit close by.

We would definitely consider booking this pretty cottage again in its idyllic location.

Complete bliss..

Absolutely beautiful cottage, home from home, completely relaxing, only went for two nights but enjoyed the solitude. The views are amazing, the garden is totally safe, our two old labs loved the surroundings and the walk in the nearby forest. The cottage is equipped with everything you may need, never lit the fires and the central heating was more then enough. Loved the view from the bath tub too. I would highly recommend this cottage for those who wish to relax in quite surroundings, and for those who love walking.. lots of walks... we hope to return to explore them. I cannot think of one detail the owners left out, to help you settle in. Just the tonic we needed at this time, but look forward to a return visit.

Very private cosy beautifully arranged cottage with stunning views to get away from it all.

We have had a wonderful couple of nights stay in Bank Cottage! It was everything we had hoped for. The location, the views, the piece and quiet and the log fires and the most important thing for us was to not have any air pollution through phone and Wi-Fi signals. No phone signals, i.e. no microwave radiation to spoil our yoga retreat, as we were able to turn off the home phone and the wi-fi routers, most people have come to value so highly. Even outside there was no signal to be had until you got to the village. Sheer bliss!

For anyone sensitive to electromagnetic pollution this is heaven on earth!

Peaceful, relaxing & comfortable with great view

Let's face it, the best thing about this house is the amazing view over the River Wye. The outdoor decking/seating area makes the most of this view but if the weather isn't so kind, inside the house is simply but comfortably furnished and very warm. If you have a dog you'll love the location, close to some excellent woodland with parking and clearly marked paths.

The location could also be a problem for some people, however, especially if you have mobility issues. The access road is very narrow and requires careful driving, plus you'll need to use the car if you want to go out unless you're happy to take-on the steep hillside. The paths, decking and steps around the property will also potentially be slippery in the colder months.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the property for the reasons outlined above.

£100 deposit required at time of booking, 50% refundable if cancelled more than 6 weeks before holiday starts. Balance due 6 weeks before start of holiday. Please note deposit will be retained until post stay inspection is completed to cover any breakages or damage.

We welcome well behaved dogs if they are kept downstairs and off the furniture. The garden should be cleaned of any dog mess before you leave and failure to do so will incur a £20 cleaning charge that will be deducted from your deposit.
