We had a short break here in April. We loved the house and the friendly owner. We were left entirely to do as we pleased but were clear that we could call on Benito if we needed anything at all. The house is very clean and well equipped, although the fresh water cooler, peace and a large pool were the things we appreciated most. The terrace with pizza oven, barbecue, bar, dining table and really comfortable seats was a great spot to relax. Town is a cycle away. It's perhaps a 3 minute drive to the supermarket, 5 minutes to excellent restaurants (we liked the vaca azul), 10 minutes to lagoons near the lighthouse. I wished we'd had a longer break and strongly recommend this house. Thank you Benito!
A lovely, clean and well equipped villa in a quiet location and well placed to explore this wonderful island.
The facilities were very good and in good repair. Very clean, lots of bed linen and towels. Pool crystal clear and the owner obviously tends it well. Benito is very friendly and helpful even with our lack of Spanish!
I would love to stay agian very soon and recommend to couples or small families. The area if very suitable for those who enjoy water sports due to the reliable surf.
This was our 4th stay on the island and the best yet. It is easy to drive around but even in the locality are some beautful beaches though Cortillo is not for swimming generally. Some excellent restaurants and stunning scenery. Check out the little harbour at El Cortillo where there is a great fish restuarant.
Local supermarket has a wide range of goods. They do not like you to use large bank notes!

Very well located between El Cotillo (lovely, lagoon beach, great eats:- Punta Del 'Est, Central and a good supermarket) and Lajares (recommended eats 722 Gradi and Canela Cafe, a better supermarket too).
Spotlessly clean and well equipped.
Friendly and helpful owners, gave us free use of bikes and replaced the water in the cooler throughout our holiday.
They live nextdoor if you need anything, but the chalet is completely private.
The outdoor space is amazing, huge covered verandah, private pool and jacuzzi, set in a large, beautiful, volcanic gardens.
The bed is a good size and comfortable. There is secure car parking and free WiFi.
The bathroom is very small, but there is a good outdoor shower.
No oven in the kitchen.
This is a lovely, rural location, you will need a car.
We had 3 lovely weeks here and would not hesitate to return.

Fantastic chalet/Villa Everything very clean and tidy, Charcoal firelighters etc provided for BBQ wood supplied for outside oven, never short of any kitchen or picnic equipment, toaster,toasted sandwich maker, coffee machine, kettle and hob (no oven inside) Lovely patio/garden area pool and jacuzi (cold) outside shower better that indoor. Great out side covered eating area, huge table. Secluded very local little hamlet, 20-30 min walk into cotillio for dinner so we could both have a drink and walk off our yummy dinner. Benito showed us a great Tapas bar that we frequented and the vaca Azul restraunt was fabulous. Lovely french coffee shop and great little ice cream parlour. We had a great time. One part of Fuerteventura that is unspoilt and uncommercialised.
You really do need directions to get there, we arrived late, pulled off the road at the correct place but from there Benito came to find us! Fab Holiday will deffinately go again

This island has a variety of traditional "fiestas" throughout the year, but the villages of El Roque and Cotillo have one of the most-visited and popular fiestas, held in August.
The beaches of Cotillo are just 1km away. There are beautiful white sand beaches without waves ("the lagoons") which are ideal for children. Cotillo is also home to one of the best beaches for water-sports, famous for its waves and favourable wind conditions. Worth mentioning that Naturist bathing is common in Fuerteventura.
The airport is 43km from El Roque. The nearest ferry port is in Corralejo with connections to Lanzarote. Car hire is recommended.
El Roque is very well-connected, just 1KM from El Coillo with banks, bars and restaurants specialising in fresh fish from the area, small shops, water-sport equipment rental and classes. 5km away is Lajares with Chemist, bars, traditional craft shops. The biggest resort, Corralejo is 20 mins away by car with a full range of tourist activities (including water-park) and night life. Corralejo also links by ferry to Lanzarote.
In El Roque there is a horse-riding centre offering pleasant walks, in Cotillo facilities to learn water-sports from professionals, or stroll by the fisherman's port & watch them bring in the daily catch. Like a lot of parts of the island there are specialist cycling paths.
