About the Owner

I am an exercise physiologist and the Managing Director of Drove House, Health & Rehabilitation in Bridgwater, Somerset. - See www.drovehouse.co.uk. At the beginning of my career I worked with many sporting associations, from The New Zealand cricket team on one of their UK tours, British athletic meetings & the UK, Russian & American Gladiators TV show. I soon became a trusted expert and began teaching my pain relief techniques whilst continuing to treat my own clients.

By researching numerous effective techniques, I soon developed my own pain relief clinic, which suits people of all ages and conditions and is now the foundation for therapies and treatments at Drove House. I have regular clients who travel across the country for treatments and some as far a field as France.

Lovely place to stay

  • 5 of 5

A lovely place to stay.

The hot tub was great after a long journey.

A spacious property, all the rooms were clean and comfortable, 3 tv's and wifi were very much appreciated by 2 teenagers !!

Well equipped kitchen with chillled water and ice on tap, heaven after a day out exploring the local area.

Found a house around the corner that sold locally produced honey, highly recommended.

Owners Lisa and Gary were great, very helpful with local information, would definitely book again !!

great relaxing weekend

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was so relaxing, chilling in the hot tub with a glass of wine and then getting cosy in front of the log burner watching television. We also had a Chinese delivery thanks to the help off Garys daughter, which was very nice food. Such a spacious, clean and homely place to stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Lovely Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We arrived to a great welcome from Lisa the owner - a roaring fire and fresh scones with jam and cream! The cottage is spacious and well-equipped. We particularly liked the fire and hot tub, and our son loved the playstation. The cottage is in a good location and we visited lots of great places during our stay. I enjoyed a very relaxing massage, which I would recommed. Lisa was extremely helpful and accommodating. We hope to return.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed at The Old School House with friends. We were welcomed by the owners Lisa and Garry who are lovely people and nothing was too much trouble. There was ample space for car parking. My room had an en-suite and was very clean and comfortable. The furnishings were spacious, modern and of a very high standard. It was a real treat to come home to the hot tub after a day on the Quantocks or sightseeing. We enjoyed some meals using the well equipped kitchen which had a fridge/freezer, mircrowave, gas hob, oven dishwasher and all the necessary utensils. On days that we didn't cook we enjoyed meals at the local pubs and restaurants. We were near to various local attractions and not far from towns such as Taunton, Weston-Super-Mare, Glastonbury and Cheddar. It is a very well run establishment which I shall be visiting again and would highly recommend it.
