Apartment in Palau-Saverdera Nr. Roses, Costa Brava, Spain - Peaceful Location Under 10 Mins To Beach By Car, Walk To Local Village Palau Saverdera

The duplex sleeps 6 situated on 2 upper floors of a small development. With 3 balconies. It has air-conditioning and overlooks the communal pool and gardens. There is no private car parking area but there is no problem in parking in the public street in front of the development. Situated only 1km from the Spanish village of Palau Saverdera (walking distance) where you can find local shops, pharmacy and restaurants. From the back terraces which also overlook the pool, there is a panoramic view of the Bay of Roses round through the Aiguamols National Park up to the foothills of the Pyrenees. Also overlooking local olive groves and vineyards. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped and furnished with all you need for a comfortable holiday. It is ideal for families and is under 10 minutes by car from the town of Roses with its variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and superb sandy beaches.

This apartment is home for most of the year but I rent it out during the spring/summer months so others can enjoy it!

It is a great place to live and come on holiday as we have the sea and the mountains so there is some kind of activity for everyone!

The great thing about sun village is that it is near enough to the hustle and bustle of every thing but just that short distance away for a bit of peace and quiet... its good to have that choice!

Quiet area couple of km oustide the busy resorts. Here it is still Spain.

Fantastic view across the landscape and Mediterean see from the terasses.

Very clean and light speceaous appartement

Has been a great holiday wtih my two sons.

Lovely spacious and clean apartment to relax in. We all enjoyed the fact it is on 2 levels. The sun terraces are great and real sun traps with great views across to the sea. The apartment has everything you could need and the essential internet for the teenagers is an added bonus.

The only thing we would have liked were some sun loungers to take to the pool area instead of having to use towels on the grass.

We had a great 2 weeks relaxing, sightseeing and exploring the surrounding area - a car is a must for this.

Delightful, Relaxing,Modern .

we loved that all the bedroom's had their own sun terrace. Kitchen has all mod cons. the swimming pool is just below , so quiet, most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. the dining table on the terrace is big, so we could all enjoy Al -Fresco dining, with a spectacular view of the bay , it was wonderful . You need a car, wonderful beaches and typical Spanish fishing village towns, are only 5 mins drive. , The boy's enjoyed learning to wind surf., lots of restaurants and cafe's in the local town's , if you want. If you don't want to cook there is a popular restaurant at the end of the street, 2 mins. walk . We will return soon .

Nearest Airport : Girona airport at 70 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Can Isaac Nearest Golf : Peralada at 14 Kilometres Nearest Train : Figueres at 20 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Nou Fusion Nearest Beach : Roses at 8 Kilometres Car: recommended


The beach at Roses or Santa Margarita are only under 10 minutes drive by car. There are many sandy beaches to choose from including Empuriabrava, St Pere and then on from Roses you can find the smaller coves of Canyelles Petites and Almadrava. Many more smaller coves can be found further round the national park of Cap de Creus some of which are only reached by boat or descending from the mountain top and are therefore more exclusive and private.


Girona airport is nearest - approximately 55 minutes by car.

Perpignan (France) airport is approximately 1hour by car.

Barcelona airport or main ferry port is approximately 2 hours by car.

The Dali museum at Figueres is 12km. Barcelona is 1 hr 30 minutes by train from Figueres.


The Spanish village of Palau-Saverdera is only 10 minutes walk on a path that takes you through the olive groves. You can find a few restaurants, bakers, butchers and a supermarket here.

Roses is 10 minutes by car which is the nearest bigger town with many small shops, larger supermarkets, beaches etc.

Figueres is 15 minutes by car where you will find the Dali Museum and more shops, restaurants, bars etc.

Cadaques previous home to Salvador Dali is only 45 minutes by car, well worth a visit.

Further Details:

There are so many great places of interest to visit in this area so a car is highly recommended! There are also many activities for all the family from cycling, canoeing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, horse riding, tennis, quad biking, sky-diving, bowling, water park, go-kart, cinema, scuba diving etc, it is hard to find something that is not available.

All in all, if you want to make the most of a holiday, this is a great place to do so!

  • Notes on accommodation: Air-conditioning. Please ask if you require a baby cot and high chair as we can provide these at no extra cost. Outside: There is a shared pool that is only shared with 9 other apartments most of which are smaller than this one and therefore this area is never normally overcrowded. Perfect for families, there is a nice grass area around the pool and different terraces with the apartment for sunbathing or enjoying BBQs. Utility Room: A washing machine is available and area for drying laundry in duplex. Iron and ironing board supplied too. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / : All bedding and towels for both the apartment and pool/beach use are provided in the cost. Cleaning is done before arrival and after departure.
