Ferndale, Bungalow in Keswick, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Great For Exploring The Beauty Of The Lake District With So Much To Do & See.

Our Family run holiday home, Ferndale is situated five minutes walk from the centre of Keswick, ideal for getting out and exploring the Lake District or just popping down in to the town. The property in the heart of the Lake District boasts great views of the Lakeland fells, Skiddaw, Latrigg and Blencathra to mention a few. The generous plot mean parking is in abundance with plenty of garden and patio space to use on those warm summer days. There is also garage for our guests to use either to store bike or even the car.

About Craig Peart

We loved visiting the Lake District as a family and have spent many days climbing the local fells and visiting the local attractions over the years cementing my love for the area. So I jumped at the chance to look after and run Ferndale (also Shelterstone and Orchard House) not only to spend more time in the lakes but to let people enjoy visiting the Lakes.

Craig Peart purchased this bungalow in 1980

Our family love the area, the north lake is a beautiful area with so much to do. Shelterstone is situated in Keswick which we love to visit.

The area is so easy to access from the house with a great choice of walks, Lakes and attractions on hand.

What makes this bungalow unique

The property is spacious and cosy benefiting from the views to the Lakeland hills which surround Keswick. The house has plenty of parking, patio and garden space.

Included in the rent (TILL THE END OF 2016) is use of the Keswick pool and gym for up to four guests. THIS WILL NO LONGER INCLUDES IN 2017.

Warm, clean, and cosy , (after discovering heating switch turned down .). nice easy walk into Town. 1 .2 miles maybe ...Well equiped kitchwen , shower good , a bit slippy standing in the bath ,,, single beds Ok .in a roomy / spacious bedroom ...double bed not used .Sofa cushions a bit soft ...large Tv / dvd player / books etc . quiet area . Gym and swimming a short walk away .Park with bowls . Old railway for a nice quiet walk by the river

Cosy, comfortable, perfect location.

The house is really comfortable and extremely well equipped, the beds were very very comfortable, the tv was also a good size for a rental property, the location is also very good, it's on a quiet street and a comfortable walk into the town.

I would recommend this property for short or long stay, can't think of anything negative to say.

Spent a week in October in the bungalow. Appreciated the peaceful location in the town. Clever use of key safe to help with late arrival. Bungalow heating made the stay comfortable. Would love to go back.

Notes on accommodation: The house comprises of two bedrooms, a double and twin. There is a good sized lounge/dining area. The modern kitchen is great for preparing meals but of course Keswick is home to a diverse range of restaurants, pubs and bakeries so the choice is yours. The lounge on the front of the house benefits a sunny aspect and makes for a cosy night in front of the 42inch Led tv and DVD player. Also WIFI available. The modern bathroom is has a white suite and a great shower over the bath. There is gas central heating and double glazing throughout making this a cosy property any time of year. Outside: The cottage is built on a generous plot with parking for several cars. There is a large patio area and a rear garden great for those warm summer days. The house also has a garage which is great for storing bikes, a boat or even a car. Cleaning Towels & Linen: Included in the price is the gas, electric, bedding, Towels and a welcome pack. We also have two other properties advertised one in Keswick and one near Penrith, Shelterstone and Orchard House please take a look if this is not suitable.
