A delightful apartment annexed to the main house with a distant sea view through well-maintained large gardens. It is in the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park close to beaches and convenient for many attractions.

The property has a double/family room with double bed and optional fold up single bed and one small single bedroom. Although the room is small it does have a full length (6'3"x2'6") fitted single bed. All prices are shown for up to 4 guests.

Please note that pricing is for direct to bank or cheque payments and if you wish to pay by credit card a processing fee of 3% will be added to any payment made that way. If you use this for the deposit you can still switch to direct to bank payments for the main payment. For details of how to pay direct to bank/internet banking please select 'Prices and Availability' and then scroll down to 'Additional pricing information'. If in any doubt please contact me by text or email and I will explain.

Although the apartment is well equipped, there are additional available items in the main house. If you think you need something else please ask and I will try to provide it. I describe the accommodation on this website but also I always explain the accommodation from the viewpoint of a particular party. A party of four could be 4 adults or it could be 3 children and an adult. I take account of that and explain how my accommodation best fits the party before any booking is made.

The apartment is about three quarters of a mile from the Saundersfoot village centre/ harbour and main beach, so it is convenient to walk or drive but there is also a regular bus service to the village, Tenby and other larger towns which passes right by the property and buses will stop on request. Whilst being convenient for the village it benefits from being without the hubbub of the village centre especially in the late evening.

Alternatively there is an off-road walk down to the Glen beach via a footpath through woodlands with a gentle gradient.

From the window of the apartment you can see my chicken run at the bottom of the garden and I can usually offer you the chance to buy half a dozen lovely fresh free range eggs from chickens you can actually see.

The apartment is suitable for up to four people and has a bathroom with WC, hand basin, bath and separate shower.

The main living accommodation is a combined lounge/diner and kitchen area which is well-equipped with fridge, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, electric kettle, gas cooker and other small appliances. An external washing line is available and subject to agreement whilst you are here I can also allow the use of a washing machine.

In the main lounge here is a Freeview TV with combined DVD/CD player and some CDs, DVDs, books and games are provided.

Off road parking is available for up to two cars.

Sun loungers/chairs for use on the property or to take to the beach are available if required and a barbecue is also available although this must be cleaned after use.

Linen (duvet covers, pillow cases and bottom sheets) are provided. Towels can be provided for a nominal additional cost.

One and occasionally two dogs are allowed with prior notification.

The apartment is also on the route of the Ironman race and ideal for watching it or as a base to take part.

Quiet location with easy access to Saundersfoot. taking just 10 minutes to get to be beach by car or a bus stops at the top of the Road.

Would definitely go back again.

Nice cottage near Tenby

What a lovely week near Tenby!!! We were welcome by Allan in his cottage. Well-equiped, cosy and confortable, it was a very convenient place to visit south-West Wales. So many castles to visit, so many hikes to do on the coastpath, so many beers to drink.... but no enough time to discover all the countryside. Thank you Allan for your kindness and hospitality.

Great base for our holiday

We found the apartment to be a great base for our stay in Saundersfoot, Wales. We found the nearby secluded beach which was peaceful and quite lovely. Everything we needed for our holiday was available within the apartment and it was very comfortable. Also anything else from shops, beaches, restaurants, pubs and walks were nearby and the owner provides useful notes on arrival to help with this.

Location

From the Owner

I moved from Liverpool looking for a rural location with a large garden for my family. I have two sons although they are now grown up and have their own accommodation. The apartment is a self-contained annexe to the main house. The walls of the house adjoining the flat are the old stone walls as the house was originally a stone cottage so they are about 18" thick and provide total privacy.

Coast/Beach:

1 miles to Saundersfoot (walkable), 2.5 miles to Tenby (by car). Many other beautiful beaches within short driving distance. Pembrokeshire has a famous and stunning coastal walk 186 miles in length which is a National Park.

Travel:

There are a number of buses which pass right by the house and will stop on request in either direction. The nearest airport is Cardiff. There is a train station in either Saundersfoot or Tenby but really the use of a car is recommended in this area to take advantage of the many scenic beauty spots.

Distances:

1/2 mile to New Hedges with good village mini-market, 1 miles to Saundersfoot with shops, pubs, arcade, restaurants etc. 2.5 miles to Tenby with lots of small shops and plenty of nice eating and drinking venues. We are convenient for the Oakwood and Bluestone parks and there are various castles in the area.

Further Details:

There is a cash point about 1/2 mile away in New Hedges in easy walking distance. There is also a post office and minimarket there and a village pub/restaurant.

Booking Notes:
Online direct to bank booking is preferred. £50 deposit to secure booking with balance due 1 month before occupation. There is no charge for direct to bank payments.
I am happy to accept credit cards but due to the costs incurred by me I do need to make a 3% charge with a minimum charge of £2. If you wish you can pay the deposit by credit card to secure the booking but then pay the balance direct to bank or by cheque in time to meet the final deadline (one month before arrival)

Changeover Day:
The standard changeover day is Saturday but we are flexible.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The property has excellent reviews on my website. www.mountpleasantsaundersfoot.weebly.com I want people to go away from Mount Pleasant happy. To that end I have made improvements every year to the property and will continue to do so. I manage and service the property personally. I am on site whenever needed or there will be another family member available if for any reason I cannot be there. Outside: The property is in a large garden which guests are welcome to use. There is an outdoor table and chairs, barbecue and sun loungers/seats can be provided on request at no cost. There is a fenced off chicken run at the bottom of the garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, tea towels and bath mats are supplied, personal towels are an optional extra at a nominal cost. Other: There is a good size hallway through the property which could be used as a sleeping area for the fold up beds if required.
