Why Kathy Ayres chose Bovey Tracey

East Dunley is a gorgeous small holding with just under 11 acres, at East Dunley we have a livery stables and a Caravan club CL site (a CL site is allowed to take 5 caravans.)

We moved here in September 2010 and since then we have made many improvements~we have built the new stable block, converted one of the stable blocks into 3 holiday lets,we have put in shower/toilet facilities for the CL site to name a few and in Jan/Feb this year we put in a new drive~ we could no longer cope with the pot holes!!

What makes this cottage unique

Peace and quiet~ you are in the country however you are only a few miles from the A38~an ideal location to get to where ever you would like to go .

What more could you ask for!!

We have a great deal of repeat bookings so they must agree.

A peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

I very much enjoyed my stay in in Fig Cottage. It was comfortably furnished to a high standard and very well equipped in an idyllic location - a perfect view from the bedroom window and very quiet. All I could hear in the morning was the the sound of a woodpecker in the nearby woord. The cottage is within easy reach of all amenities in Bovey Tracey and plenty of parking too with easy access for transporting luggage . All in all definitely to be recommended.

An ideal hideaway of excellent quality, we will definitely recommend to others

The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was a great location to visit Dartmoor and the South Devon coast. We really enjoyed a steam train trip from Paignton to Dartmouth, and we were lucky to be there when the Hennock country fair was on - ferret racing, cream teas and sheepdogs rounding up ducks!

Everything you needed was contained within the cottage.

We were welcomed on arrival. The heating system was not working but we were given ample radiators and more were available if we needed them (which we didn't). The cottage was very clean, Everything needed for your stay was provided. It was centrally based for us as we were out most of every day but we enjoyed returning to the property in the evening. Annie and Andy were friendly and helpful and on hand if you wanted to know anything. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property or others on the site. This was our second visit and hopefully would like to return later in the year, but definitely next year.

A warm welcome from Annie led us into Fig cottage, an outstandingly designed conversion, with high spec. fittings and furniture and a wonderfully comfortable double bed. It was a pleasure for my wife and I to share a week in a great environment with the family owners on their smallholding
