I stayed at this property for a little over a month and it was very comfortable, had every necessary amenity and the location was excellent. The unit was very clean and spacious. I especially enjoyed meeting the landlords who were quite lovely and hospitable. I would highly recommend staying at this location if you are visiting Oxford. It is located close to stores, gyms, restaurants, Thames River and it's beautiful trails and, of course, many of the University's beautiful colleges. A great property at a reasonable price.

“Folly Bridge Court is a central but uniquely quiet location in the middle of ancient Oxford - with secure car parking. The apartment block is well built and is well managed and the permanent owner-residents are an interesting and welcoming group of people - spiced with the short term tenants coming and going from across the world. When we fully retire - we will enjoy living there and use it as a base from which to travel in the UK and overseas.”

By bus, coach or car Oxford is 60-80 minutes from Heathrow, London airport and 90-120 minutes from Gatwick, London airport. It is 90 minutes from central London. There is a bus to London every 10 minutes and regular trains. M40 Cars provide an airport/Oxford taxi service. Oxford to London by rowing boat takes 3 days.
Day trips - Oxford is near to London, Stratford, Woodstock, Cheltenham, Bath, Southampton, Birmingham, Warwick and a dozen other historic towns. Oxford is surrounded by Stately Homes and ancient monuments, including Stonehenge at Salisbury.
Oxford was established by academic monks in about 800 AD who retreated to the relative safety of a maze of small rivers at Ox-Ford - and banned all wheeled vehicles; a ban continued today in University Parks. The first college was a small Scholarium, the remains of which are disgracefully neglected behind the Fire Station, near the railway station.

- Notes on accommodation: Folly Bridge Court is a select apartment building with permanent owners and visitors' apartments - on 3 floors, it is a semi-circular design encompassing a garden and facing the river. There are pleasant walks from the garden, along the Thames, into Christchurch Meadow and to the colleges and central shops. Outside: The apartment has its own terrace with a planted border giving privacy and colour. The bedroom and the living room have French windows onto the terrace. The terrace is 5 metres above a garden, with a path to the riverside and another to private over-ground parking. The terrace has a view of the River Thames. Utility Room: Gas Central Heating, Vacuum, Cleaning Equip and Tool Box Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Regular house cleaning and laundry of towels and sheets.
