About the property


The Old Dairy and Village Flats have the most perfect location, just tucked away from the main street, yet only 10 seconds level walk to the beach. Each flat is well equipped, and has its own private parking space. Polzeath is well known for its family friendly lifeguarded beach, masses of sand to play on and great waves for surfers to learn and improve on. There are surf schools on the beach, surf hire shops, a supermarket, boutique, cafes and restaurants too. The South West coast path runs through the village giving access to the most spectacular and breathtaking scenery imaginable. A gentle stroll along the cliff top brings you to Daymer Bay and Rock, well known for their water sports, and then a 5 minute ride on the little passenger ferry takes you to the well known town of Padstow.

About Celia Gay

We have owned these flats for several years now and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that they are in a great location and have everything that you need during your week's holiday. Although we don't live nearby we have a local housekeeper who keeps a close eye to make sure all is well.

Why Celia Gay chose Polzeath

The colours of the North Cornwall coastline are spectacular and an absolute tonic. The sea is dramatic and powerful, with crashing waves against the cliffs. We find that when we are there we are content to stay around the Polzeath area, either on the beach or walking along the cliff tops. We almost never go out in the car.

The local shops have all you need and there is no need to spend hours driving around, unless you want to that is!

What makes this apartment unique

Closeness to the beach , able to pop on and off the beach.

Great if you have children of different ages who may want to do different things.

Notes on accommodation: Our regular clients keep coming back year after year because of the amazing convenience of the location of our flats. Off the beach, across the road and be straight in a hot shower or bath, (no lugging a surfboard up the hill)! We also get complimented on how well equipped our flats are, and this year we have upgraded them again, and put in wi-fi for your convenience. In Polzeath centre parking is at a premium and can be an expensive addition to your holiday, so to have a free parking space right outside the flat is a bonus. Even if the beach is not your thing, the endless footpaths and South West Coastal path offer scenery that you will find breathtaking. Walk to Rock and Padstow, or take on the rugged challenges of a walk from Port Quin to Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame. Not far away is the fascinating Tintagel where the mystery of the King Arthur legend lives on, or visit the Eden Project for something really different. Outside: The ground floor flat, the Old Dairy has a patio area with picnic table outside. Portable or disposable BBQs may be used on this area.

The property is in a fantastic location with easy access to all amenities.

The property is well presented and equipped. It was a bonus to have a parking space so close to the beach. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to book here again. The owners provided excellent communication which made us feel confident it was a good decision to pick this accommodation. Fantastic holiday accommodation and location.

Fabulous little appartment

Lovely apartment, fabulous location and Polzeath is just amazing. Although compact it had everything we needed and even a jigsaw (albeit with a couple of pieces missing but that just adds to the excitement). I stayed with my grown up children and their partners and had a wonderful time.

Could not ask for anything more (except perhaps mobile phone connection! but perhaps that just added to the joy of being away on holiday).
