Lovely, cosy cottage.

  • 4 of 5

Lovely, cosy cottage with all we needed to enjoy our week in Cornwall. Very reasonably priced. A short drive or good walk into the village with all amenities. Beautiful short walk to the gorgeous Cornwall coast.

Very comfortable and pretty cottage in a fantastic location.

  • 5 of 5

Clean and comfortable with everything you need. The location is brilliant within easy walking distance of the town, and a variety of beautiful walks. Very quiet and private position. Friendly and helpful owner. This was our second stay at the cottage and we definitely plan to stay again next year.

Wonderful cottage

  • 4 of 5

We have been staying at this delightful cottage every year for the last 9 years. Comfortable, attractive and homely with a sheltered garden, peace and quiet and good quality facilities. Good wifi, beautiful surroundings(cape cornwall) and access to great beaches and attractive landscapes in a less crowded and touristy part of Cornwall that really does feel different to the rest of England.

A Great place.

  • 5 of 5

what a fantastic house in a beautiful location. St Just has everything you want, pubs, shops, friendly people and the church is well worth a walk around. Kath was the perfect host, available to answer any questions and a there was a nice welcome tray on arrival. We highly recommend the open top bus to St Ives, it takes you through some beautiful hamlets and hugs the coast so the views are breathtaking, and you'll wonder how such a big bus gets around such little bends. We will be booking again for next year.

Cosy cottage in a fantastic place

  • 5 of 5

An old house with a truly homely and silent atmosphere. Spacious rooms including two sitting rooms, one combined with rustic kitchen. A nice environment for a relaxing family stay. Well equipped, as described. Location is only 10 min from Cape Cornwall, and thereby a perfect place to walk from alone the beautiful coast line. Also near to the vibrant village of St Just with shops and several pubs. Ideal place to stay for tours in Cornwall. Warm and friendly welcome.

Coast/Beach:

The coast and countryside around Lower Boswedden is wild and beautiful. The south west coast path leads north and south from close to the cottage. Ballowal Barrow 3/4 mile south at Carn Gloose is a funerary monument. 1, 1/2 miles to the north are the famous World Heritage Crowns Mines where Poldark is being filmed.

Walking these coastal paths also gives the chance to glimpse the regions marine life which boasts, dolphins, seals and basking sharks as its regular visitors. Gannets can be seen cresting the waves, a resident heron, buzzards, kestrels and the cornish chough (a black bird with red beak and feet) recently reintroduced here.

Gorious sunsets can be seen over Cape Cornwall and as there is no light pollution it's a wonderful place to see the stars.

A short drive away (4 miles) Sennen Cove has a magnificent sandy beach, perfect for families and renowned as one of Cornwall's top surf spots. Visit Porthcurno for its beautiful beach, outdoor Minack Theatre and Telegraph Museum, and St Ives for the Tate Art Gallery.

Distances:

Many interesting towns to visit:-

Just under a mile away by footpath or car is St Just the most westerly town in England. Small, lively and friendly with a great commmunity atmosphere, many cafes, pubs and galleries. St. Ives Mousehole and Penzance also worth visiting.

Further Details:

An atm is available in St. Just. A coop shop and spa shop open all hours, fruit and health food, farmer's market, bakery and organic vegetable from the community farm at Carn Bosavern half a mile outside St Just on road to Sennen for larger supermarkets and bank facilities Penzance (7 miles away) is the best place.
