House in Croyde, North Devon, England. - Peaceful safe location 5 Minute Level Walk To Sandy Beach And Quaint Village.

Relax in this lovely detached conveniently situated property. Wander along the level footpath the short walk to beautiful Croyde beach from this quiet cul-de-sac, then back to sit around the generous stylish table for an alfresco lunch in the private enclosed garden laid to lawn which always attracts the sun and is approached from the side or through the patio doors from the lounge. A little siesta on the deckchairs then in the evening a 5 minute walk gets you to the popular village with its choice of pubs, restaurants, and shops, playgrounds and volleyball nets. Or settle down in the tastefully decorated lounge to a bluray video or smart TV, or listen to music on the iphone player or player PS2. Double glazing and heaters make it cosy all year round. Then sleep in White Company pure cotton on the softest mattress toppers in country calm lulled by the sound of the sea. All the bedding is non-allergenic. There is parking for 2 cars right outside and no passing traffic making it a family friendly location. If you like to get active the garage can store surfboards, Kayaks, climbing gear etc and there is a garden hose to wash it all down. A well appointed kitchen will keep enthusiastic cooks happy and little ones are fully catered for with new highchair, cot, mattress and stair gate and a walk to the beach little legs can easily manage. As you know your baby best the baby bedding is left to you to bring with you. Sofa throws are provided in case of sticky fingers. Wifi is available too at no extra charge. No dogs are allowed or groups of under 23s, Stags/hen.No non-occupants. The person who books is required to stay. Maximum 5 Adults plus 1 child as the Bunk bed room is a bit small for 2 Adults for a week.

About the Owner

I am lucky enough to be a self- employed gardener. I also ran a successful B&B in my house in Sandy Way Croyde for 6 years until 2014. Being a local girl having grown up in the area and lived in Croyde since 1979 I know the area well. I've enjoyed meeting people from all over the country and have got a great deal of satisfaction from their reaction when they arrive at the B&B and from their enjoyment of my beautiful village. I feel lucky to have the privilege of living in Croyde with everything it has to offer. For a small place it has a big personality. You will never be bored if you stay here. I do the changeovers at the houses myself so that I can keep a high standard of cleanliness and add those personal touches which freshens things up. I want it feel warm and welcoming when you arrive. I love to travel and stay in lots of different types of accommodation. I find this really helpful for my own properties as I am always looking to improve. I genuinely want people to have a great holiday!

Myself, my husband, little girl and parents stayed in this property for a week.

Lovely house which is looked after by the Owner who is very helpful, scones cream and jam were waiting for us on arrival :-)

The house is very clean and modern with excellent facilities, fast wifi, new washing machine and tumble dryer etc and a lovely new bathroom. Everything was very clean and there is a view of the sea from the second bedroom.

The location is great within walking distance to the beach and the Croyde shops and pubs.

We visit Croyde each year and will definitely book again,I would highly recommend it.

Location, location, location! I bought this house because it is perfect for holiday letting. It has a lovely open feel with views to the beach, the headland, the village and the countryside, yet is easily accessible. There is a choice of beaches nearby and Exmoor is not far away. I know people who live in the road and they love it. I used to do a garden down there and was always struck by how peaceful and friendly it was just with the sound of the sea and birds.

Coast/Beach:

Croyde beach is 500 yards from your front door, a lifeguarded sandy crescent fringed with rock pools and backed by golden dunes. It is lifeguarded and one of the best surfing beaches in the country. 1 mile away is the 3 mile stretch of Saunton sands and 2 miles the other way award winning Putsborough set at one end of a 2 mile sweep of sand with its great little cafe.

Travel:

The best way to come is by car then you can explore easily. There is a bus stop at the end of the road which takes you to Barnstaple where the main travel network of trains and buses for the area centres. The nearest airport is Exeter and the nearest ferry port Plymouth.

Distances:

Croyde village centre is 500 yards. Braunton is 5 miles, beaches of Saunton 1 mile, Putsborough 2 miles, Woolacombe 4 miles. The village of Georgeham 2 miles and Barnstaple 10 miles which is the nearest town.. Lynmouth takes about an hour as does Exmoor. Bideford takes 40 minutes by car.

Further Details:

200 yards away is the local shop located in a holiday complex where you can swim and use the spa and has family entertainment. Croyde village boasts 3 great pubs all serving good food, 2 restaurants, 1 intimate and 1 with a surfer vibe, a wonderful teashops, gift shops, surf shops and surf lessons. The nearest bank, Supermarket and petrol is in Braunton but Croyde Post Office has a cash Machine available when it's open. Ruda the other side of the Bay has a small supermarket and leisure pool with water slide and whirlpool. In and around Croyde you can go surfing or kayaking, coasteering, cliff climbing on our local Baggy Point, cycling on the tarka trail, walking the coastal path, swimming in the sea or pool, Riding on the beach or rolling countryside or have a delicious cream tea. Then in the evening either sit in your sunny garden and relax or may be listen to a band in one of the local lively pubs.

This is a family house in a quiet residential area for relaxing in so please only book if that is what you need. There are plenty of other places to stay in Croyde if you want to get excitable!

This property has everything you'd want. It is convenient to the amenities yet tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac so very quiet and safe. Being detached it is set away from the other houses so is very private with no passers-by. Yet a stones throw away is the hub of Croyde with its quaint cottages and high standard of pubs, restaurants and shops. The life guarded sandy beach is a level easy walk or you can chill in the secluded sunny garden. It has ample storage for every outdoor activity. A perfect base for any holiday.

  • Notes on accommodation: Hair-dryer is included. Cot mattress is included but no cot bedding. Sofa bed bedding included. Electricity included. Soft seating and round table seating for 6 only. Large single sex groups, Stag or Hen groups, groups of under 21's and dogs are not permitted. No more than 6 allowed. Outside: Sheltered private south facing back garden with table and seating for 8 and additional garden chairs, BBQ, and Clothes-line. It is fenced and gated and not overlooked partly patio and partly grassed. Utility Room: Additional large fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, BBQ, additional seating and outdoor play and beach equipment including paddling pool for younger guests. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Beds are made up with bed linen duvets and pillows. Towels are not included. The property is cleaned only on changeover days (Friday) but it is expected that the property should be left in a similar state as it is found. For guests staying 2 weeks a fresh set of linen is provided mid-way. Other: The hall has a stair-gate at the top of the stairs. There is an immersion heater and storage heater.
