A forty minute drive will take you to the East Devon resorts of Ex-mouth, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth and the Torbay resorts of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The North Devon surfing resorts of Saunton Sands and Croyde are an hour's drive. It is just over an hour to the pretty riverside resorts of Dartmouth and Salcombe.

The nearest airports are Exeter and Bristol are about 45 mins and just over an hour away respectively, where car hire can easily be arranged and is essential for getting to and from Fursdon. It is a 3 hour drive from Birmingham and 4 hour drive from London airports to Fursdon. We are 30 minutes from the M5 motorway junction 27. The lanes are narrow but very attractive to drive along.

The Cathedral city of Exeter is 10 miles away and the market towns of Tiverton and Crediton about 7 miles. Thorverton is the nearest village and is about 2 miles away. National Trust properties of Knightshayes and Killerton are within 10 miles

Further Details:

There are local shops in Thorverton and Silverton (4 miles) with all the large supermarkets in Tiverton and Exeter. Exeter is also a great city to shop in, with many individual shops as well as the chain stores. There are regular farmers markets in the area. Mid Devon is well served with pubs and restaurants, all being within a short drive. This county has some very fine restaurants, which are further away but well worth the drive if you want something special. We are well served with places of interest in the area, whether historic houses, castles park or gardens and plenty of places to take the children to as well.
