House in Pendoggett, Near Port Isaac, Cornwall - Sun Trap Garden, Local Pub And 10mins Drive To Several Beaches with glorious costal walking

Tregirls is a modern yet traditional property, comfortably furnished for holiday living. It is equipped for holidaying with children with a fab bunk/play room. It is close to the picturesque village of Port Isaac and a 10 minute drive from beaches including Polzeath famous for it's surfing, Daymer Bay for windsurfing and sand castles and a few minutes further to Rock for it's sheltered sailing and water sports. Golf,swimming and tennis are also nearby. The spectacular coastline can be seen from the bedrooms and there are footpaths from Pendoggett both to the coast and inland. The local pub is a hop across the road and there are many other pubs and restaurants close by.

About Saskia Jones-Perrott

Saskia lives with her husband Richard and 2 children in mid Wales. She is a doctor working in Shrewsbury. Saskia and her brother and 2 sisters have enjoyed holidays on the North Cornwall coast all their lives and now have 10 children between them who also all enjoy sailing in Rock, surfing in Polzeath, playing golf and generally having fun as their parents and grandparents did (and still do!) before them!

Why Saskia Jones-Perrott chose Saint Kew

We have recently 'moved house' in the area having outgrown our previous property due to the large number of children!!

Tregirls is close to everything. Easy to access, but out of the hectic atmosphere of, Port Isaac or Rock. We love returning after a hectic day of sailing, surfing and crabbing to enjoy an evening 'at home' or wander across to the Cornish Arms for a pint or bite to eat.

It is also close to the St Kew Inn with a lovely Beer garden and great food and Chapel Amble with another great pub and swimming and play area at The Olde House. These are all favourites.

What makes this house unique

Children will love staying at Tregirls as they have their own special room with toys and games enjoyed by our children.

The garden has outside lighting for that Mediterranean feeling!

Notes on accommodation: We have an extended family all with young children. Hence the property is child friendly. It would suit one or two families. Outside: South facing sun trap patio garden with side access. Outdoor furniture including parasol and BBQ. Parking for 3 cars (NB access must be left for adjacent property) Utility Room: Hoover, cleaning equipment, iron and ironing board, picnic plates and glasses Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen can be provided at extra charge of £80 per week, which is the cost to us of laundry Other: Free WiFi

Perfect holiday house, we'll be back!

Really clean, comfortable and functional house with everything we needed - good parking, big living spaces and comfortable bedrooms, fresh and modern decor, garden with BBQ, wi-fi, tv and music system, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. In easy distance of Rock and Polzeath and other great beach spots. Great pub opposite the house! We've stayed in many places in the area over the years, and have liked this the best! We'll definitely book again.

Run down

We had to clean most of the house on arrival.

And dispose of previous guests food from fridge and cupboards.

Beds old and springs sticking out most mattresses.

Gererally needs a good clean up and renewing of old furniture.

Pointed these plus other issues to owner to get called a liar as the cleaner denied the sub standards we encountered.

Good luck to you if you have already booked to stay here.

Those looking I would avoid until better maintenance plan and care of your stay are considered.

Great Location with View of Bay on Clear day

The property is well equipped and Clean and coped well with our party of 11 (9 kids). is on good road route along coast line with reasonable quick access to A39 and A30 giving good access to the whole of Cornwall. The location being in a small village is nice and quiet and peaceful. I would consider renting again if i wanted to stay in the north of cornwall.

Modern, spacious, clean family house

We had a great week. The house is very pleasant and was easy to find on a quiet B road. We had some nice meals around the table on the patio, including BBQ followed by strawberries from nearby pick-your-own. The back garden in small but fully enclosed which was good for the dog. We had everything we needed. The Cornish Arms across the road did us a lovely meal one evening and we would also recommend the Sunday carvery at the Maltsters Arms in St Amble. We enjoyed several visits to Port Isaac, as well as Port Quin (very small, beautiful scenery), Polzeath (beach and coastal path), Padstow, Wadebridge and Tintagel. There is a walk down to Port Gaverne, though we didn't complete it: routefinding not obvious on first visit, and it passes through a field of cattle and along muddy paths at the bottom. There are plenty of other places to walk and visit in the vicinity. Lots of bike hire facilities on the Camel Trail and we enjoyed doing that one afternoon too. Would be happy to stay there again.

Port Gaverne beach is a 5min drive great at low tide. Polzeath beach fab for surfing is a 10 min drive as is Trebarwith strand great for beach activities and surfing at low tide. Rock, famous for its sailing and relaxing walks is about a15min drive.

Travel:

Newquay airport is about a 30-40 min drive

Distances:

The picturesque village of Port Isaac is about a 5 minute drive and the larger town of Wadebridge 20 min drive. Padstow, a Cornish fishing town is about 30-40 min drive.

Further Details:

There is a Coop in Port Isaac for local supplies or a large Tesco, Coop and Lidl in Wadebridge. The Cornish Arms, a traditional Cornish pub is cross the road with the St Kew Inn about 1.5 miles away. Port Isaac has several restaurants
