Lovely escape!

We stayed over New Year and had a lovely relaxing time. Lots to do in the surrounding area and Sadie's Croft provided the perfect retreat at the end of the day. Perfect for young families. Very peaceful. We shall return!

Lovely!

  • 5 of 5

Sadie's Croft is lovely, very well equipped, has lovely decor and furniture and is very cosy and a lot bigger than it looks in the photos. As dog owners it was lovely to stay in such a luxury property.

Over Haddon is a beautiful, sleepy little village with great walks right from the door and a nice hotel/pub on the doorstep. We didn't even use our car as you can walk to the pub and even catch the bus into Bakewell from right outside the cottage.

We were there over the Christmas Market weekend and got to help switching on the Christmas lights which was a really memorable experience.

We will definitely be back.

Idyllic break in the Peaks

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay in Sadies was memorable. The owner Sally has made the cottage a real home from home. It is situated in a charming little village 2 miles from Bakewell. There are a number of walks from your doorstep and the views of Lathkill Dale are worth getting up for. The Lathkill Hotel is merely yards from the front door, has great food, interesting beers and even a gin menu.

Originally, my wife and I thought that we would enjoy a short stay with our young cocker spaniel but were swiftly joined by our daughters who travelled from Sheffield and Newcastle Universities to make sure that they were not missing out. Sadies accommodated us all with ease. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back.

Thanks Sally

Hidden gem, in a beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage.

Ideally located to be just far enough away from the crowds but not too far away if the whim takes you to mix with the Bakewell market throng.

The cottage was really clean, tidy and well equipped.

The enclosed garden was ideal to let our dogs out for middle of the night "comfort breaks" without having to worry whether they would run off.

There are fantastic walks with in easy reach and the nature reserve in the valley is a must!

The week went far too quickly but we hope to return again next year!
