Apartment in Ozankoy, Kyrenia, Cyprus - Centrally Located Yet Peaceful. Only 3 Minutes Walk From The Nearest Shop And Restaurants

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment located on the second floor of our private family home. (The family home is vacant.) Sleeps 4 (5 if one is a small child/baby). The apartment has a separate entrance. It can be classified as a villa as it is totally private. We have a very large pool terrace where you can enjoy the stunning mountain view, a shaded dining area a BBQ area which is adjacent to the terrace. The skimmer pool is so large that it will please any serious swimmer. Located within a 3 minute walk to the nearest shops and restaurants/bars and the minibus which takes you to Kyrenia, a 5 minute drive to beaches, a 10 minute drive to the historical town of Girne (Kyrenia) and only a 5 minute drive to the picturesque village of Bellapais which is right above Ozankoy. Child/baby cot available upon request. You may pick your own lemons from the many trees and help yourself to what is growing in the garden.

About Deborah Bahadir

I moved to Cyprus from the UK with my parents and sister in 1973. My sister and I grew up here in this house. Due to the high demand for holiday properties in our area we decided to offer the private apartment above the main house for holiday lets. I maintain the property. Apart from the gardener and the pool maintenance you will enjoy total privacy. Please note that guests have private use of the pool and BBQ area during their stay and are welcome to invite their friends to use the facilities during the day and evening.

Why Deborah Bahadir chose Kyrenia Region

There was an old stone house on these grounds which was owned by my father's much loved aunty who brought him up as she had no children of her own. My father built our house on the remains of the old stone house in 1974. Whilst building my parents decided to ad a separate dwelling on the second floor, this is the apartment that we are now offering for holiday rentals.

The house is situated in an old lemon grove. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the lemons. The house is in the centre of Ozankoy (Kazaphani) with only a 3 minute walk to all amenities.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment has the feel of a villa as there is no sharing of the pool with other residents. It is peaceful and quiet unlike other apartment buildings which have people below or above. It's very central whether you want to get to Historical Girne (Kyrenia) which is a 10 minute drive away or the Golf Course in Esentepe, a 15 minute drive away. There is a minibus that you can catch just down the road (3 minute walk) which goes to Girne every 30 minutes.

Bedroom 2 has a sofa bed which opens up as either a wide single bed or a narrow double bed. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes with plenty of space.

Notes on accommodation: Outside: Very large private skimmer pool set in an old village garden. Private use of the BBQ area and pool during your stay. Fantastic mountain views from the terrace with lots of wild life running in the garden (lizards, chameleons owls, swallows, fruit bats at night). At night you can switch on the pool lights and watch bats diving towards the pool for a drink or sit in the dark and watch millions of stars twinkling above whilst the Cyprus owls call out to each other. There are sun loungers and a dining area in the shade on the terrace. The pool has under water lighting and there is a light to the dining area. Utility Room: There is a utility cupboard where you can find an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, brush and dustpan, mop and bucket and other useful bits and pieces. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and basic beach towels are provided. Extra bedding can be provided once a week. The apartment is cleaned prior to arrival and after departure.

Wonderful place, lovely owner

The flat is lovely and spacious, with a lovely view from the terrace over the garden, which we enjoyed fully - we ate courgettes and aubergines and tomatoes and some fruits that were in season. The pool is gorgeous, perfect for a family with small kids. We swam and had lunch by the pool every day in October. Deborah was a lovely host, provided a nice welcome (tea and wine set out in the kitchen) and was so thoughtful, she even brought extra toys for our small children! We highly recommend this place and this host and would happily return. Thank you for everything!

Summer hol

Been & stayed in Ozankoy several times, in different villas, done all the sight seeing we need to do, much needed time out to relax & Deborahs apartment fits that bill. Apartment all & more than required. Location great full sea views off balcony(ideal for a cooling G&T before heading out)Poolside fabulous, massive pool, lovely 'pagoda' for shade or lunch. Great vegetable garden, which you can help yourself to( do try the tomatoes) & Deborah, a great & attentive host, if needed.

Close to all shops /bars/restaurants etc, will need car for beach or trips to markets or Girne, taxis are cheap though

Booking Notes:
Bookings are done via email, following initial enquiry a deposit of £150 will secure your booking. The final payment is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. In the event of a cancellation 8 weeks before the arrival date the security deposit will not be refunded. The security deposit otherwise is refunded within 14 days following inspection of the property. Please note that prices listed are for two people, for each additional person an extra £50 per week is charged. Changeover Day:
As long as there is availability we are flexible with changeover days. This also goes for arrival and departure times. If there is someone arriving on the day you leave however, guests must leave the apartment by 10 am to allow for cleaning and checking.
