Spinnaker is a Grade II listed Fisherman's cottage located on the quieter side of Looe within the conservation area of West Looe Hill, with a lovely enclosed garden and single car garage, the cottage although modernised still retains its traditional feel. Fully centrally heated throughout and ready to go for your holiday. All bedding is included in our pricing, plus tea towels, kitchen hand towel. Plus tea coffee and sugar to get you started.

About the Owner

Our names are Ian & Irene, we have owned Spinnaker for 9 years, we both love Cornwall with all it can offer and finding Spinnaker was one of the best moves we have ever made, it is a lovely cottage, and we have spent many enjoyable times updating and creating a homely welcoming cottage for ourselves and our very welcomed visitors. Our aim is to make Spinnaker one of the best, cleanest and well looked after accommodations possible, we believe Spinnaker cottage to be a perfect choice for a holiday cottage, our regular guests who return year on year i know feel the same way.

Looe is a great holiday destination with lots to see and do for all the family. Looe is Positioned on the Cornish Riviera with many towns and villages all within easy reach.

Looe is a wonderful place, lots of interesting places to explore, the people are friendly and very helpful. Lots of local shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes.

Special interest holidays:

Looe is a wonderful destination to go fishing, there are many boats ready to take you out sea fishing or crabbing.


The safe Sandy Beach in East Looe is approximately 10 minutes walk. or the Shingle beach at Hannafore (overlooking Looe Island)which is a short stroll, there is plenty of free parking at Hannafore, with a level walkway and seating, tennis and bowling and cafes and restaurants.


The Looe Valley Line Train Station just 10 minutes walk from Cottage, which connects to Liskeard and Plymouth. Plymouth is 22 miles by car. Newquay Airport 45 minutes by car. Exeter Airport is about 60 miles from Looe.


The small village of Polperro is 3- 4 miles away and a wonderful walk from Looe along the South West coastal path. St Austell and the wonderful Eden Project is about 20 minutes by car, also Lanhydrock and Port Eliot are all within easy reach.

Further Details:

East Looe has many local shops, restaurants, cafe's and pubs offering an assortment of good quality food, locally caught fresh fish and entertainment. Banks and the Post Office can also be found in East Looe. West Looe has many small local shops and the oldest pub in Looe, "The Jolly Sailor" which is just at the bottom of West Looe Hill. Hannafore is blessed with a wonderful view over to Looe Island, cafes and restaurants.

Spinnaker is located on the quieter side of the river, nestling in a valley and conservation area of West Looe, backing onto forest and woodland. From the pretty back garden distant views can be seen over the coastline to Seaton and Downderry. The enclosed back garden has two patios and a lawned area. Relax and enjoy early morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening and enjoy the peace and tranquility that our cottage can offer.

  • Notes on accommodation: We would appreciate smoking outside of the cottage please. Sorry no pets. We are unable to offer mid week or weekend stays between May - end October. Out of season short breaks are available from October (excluding half term) to April (excluding Easter). Outside: The lovely enclosed garden has two patios, the first nearer to the cottage for early morning coffee, the lawned area for relaxing, and the top patio makes a perfect seating area for enjoying the views across the valley. Full Bed linens provided, plus kitchen hand towels, tea towels and cleaning materials. Towels can be provided at an extra charge. PLEASE NOTE CHANGEOVER DAY IS SATURDAY, CHECK IN TIME 4.00PM - CHECK OUT TIME 10.30 AM.
