The are many beaches to choose from, both sandy and shingle, all within a 10 mile radius.

The lovely town of Salcombe is accessable by car or by a delightful passenger ferry accross the kingsbridge estuary. (15 min total)

This apartment had everything we needed.Situated in a beautiful area with stunning views to the sea. Lots of places to visit with fantastic beaches, Salcombe, Dartmouth,even a quirky little pub-The Pigs Nose a short stroll away.

A Peaceful Getaway

We really enjoyed our last minute winter break. The flat is lovely and clean, light, warm, very well equipped and has wonderful views. The bed was very comfortable. Linda was really helpful, the cream tea was a nice touch! The area is fantastic for walking which is what we came to do. East Prawle is a pretty and quiet village, well off the beaten track. The Pig's Nose Inn has to be experienced! We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to get away from it all and explore on foot. We hope to be back!

This was one of the best self catering properties we have stayed in, clean comfortable and well equipped. After a long journey down we were welcomed with a delicious cream tea fresh flowers and a magnificent view to from the lounge windows. We have stayed in and around this lovely village for many years and it still has that certain magic about it . The coastal walks beaches and views all without having to use a car are unbeatable.

Ideal appartment

We stayed at the property for a week with our 2 children aged 2 and 7. The property itself was clean and well presented, plenty big enough for the 4 of us. It is well equipped and we found nothing we needed missing.

The location is great, as mentioned before it's a very short walk to a little cafe, shop and 'unique' pub in the village. There are plenty of things to do with in a short drive, lovely beaches, days out for the kids etc.

The only things which I think is worth mentioning is that the flat is up stairs so probably not suitable if you can't manage stairs and I shouldn't think it would be particularly easy to get to by public transport.

Overall highly recommended and we had a great week!

Modern apartment in pretty location

Our family of 5 were comfortably accommodated in this lovely apartment. Modernly furnished, stylish and well equipped it was our home from home. The views from the living room and main bedroom were beautiful and included both the sea and a nearby field of cows. East Prawle itself is a very small hamlet with an interesting pub (serving good pub food) and access to the coastal pathway. Nearby are the sandy beaches at Salcombe and (further afield) Bigbury/Banthem.

Best kept secret

Although now I will share it with you!!!

I have been a visitor to this area for many years, so my heart already belongs to this beautiful part of Devon. I would be very surprised if after your first holiday staying in East Prawle at Linda's lovely home you did not feel the same.

The Willows flat is in the heart of East Prawle. Set in country lanes, it has a beautiful garden, allocated parking and wonderful views from its upstairs accommodation.

Everything needed for a couple or family to make their holiday complete is found in the accommodation. The flat was clean, kitchen well stocked with utensils, fresh towels/linen were provided and the cream tea on our arrival was much appreciate.

In the village is the Pigs Nose pub, piglet stores and café catering for most tastes and requirements. You can enjoy many walks from East Prawle but to get the most from this area you will need a car.

A must to visit are the stunning beaches, Gara Rock, Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth (reached by boat from Dartmouth castle) and many other hidden gems. Ask Linda for best tips and ideas to get the most from your stay.

I have already booked next June to stay at Linda's again as I found it a perfect place to relax and a great location to reach other places of interest or natural beauty.

Suberb location

Fantastic hidden gem. Perfect location for exploring the SW Coastal Path and nearby Salcombe, Torcross, Slapton Sands etc.

We had a great time and enjoyed the "Pigs Nose" pub 2 mins walk away. Would also recommend a walk along the coast to Gammon Head with spectacular coastal views (it took us 1 hour each way).

I always came on holiday to this part of the world from Derby for 20 years then I got the opportunity to move down here and jumped at the chance. It was the best thing I ever did and I'm still finding new and interesting things to do down here.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Motorway : A38 at 18 Miles Nearest Beach : sandy beach Mill bay 3 miles,stoney beach 1mile at 3 Miles Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The village beach is 15 mins walk away, East Portlemouth (sandy beach) 10 mins. by car. Slapton Sands 15 mins. Beesands 15 mins. Bantham (for surfing) 30 mins.

Travel:

East Prawle is approx 3/4 hr drive from Totnes railway station. We could collect you from there if you just wanted a walking holiday once you get here. Closest airports are Exeter and Bristol.

Ferry Port (from France, and Spain) at Plymouth an hour away.

Distances:

Kingsbridge 9 miles (closest supermarkets, banks). Salcombe 4 miles(via passenger ferry), Totnes 20 miles, Dartmouth 15 miles, Plymouth 28 miles, Dartmoor 28 miles.

Further Details:

The village has a pub and a shop to supply the essentials. Kingsbridge is the main shopping town, with a Morrison's and a Tesco.

East Prawle is a quaint Devon village so if you want amusements and fun fairs this may not be for you (although the fair does roll into Kingsbridge once a year). If you prefer walks, pretty seaside towns, beaches, good food, fishing, boat trips, sailing, exhilarating power boat trips or coasteering trips, National Trust properties, Access to the Dartmoor national park then you should definitely visit the South Hams.

The property is suitable for all year round stays. walkers and birdwatchers will love the location and proximity to the coast path and the wildlife in the area Outside: A lovely garden, surrounded with high hedges for privacy.
