Apartment in Filey, Yorkshire, England - Quiet Location, 5 Minute Walk To Beach, Park, Shops And Restaurants
A beautifully furnished large, 2 bedroomed apartment on the first floor of a terraced house and situated on a quiet side street. Just a 5 minute walk will take you to the beach, town centre and Glen Gardens. There are plenty of restaurants easily within walking distance and if like us you enjoy a few drinks out there are lots of local pubs on the doorstep but not near enough to disturb a quiet night in. The apartment easily accommodates 4 with enough space in the I main bedroom for a travel cot (bedding not provided) and is fully central heated. Both bathrooms have a wc and basin so no need for queues in the mornings. With private parking you can simply park up, relax and enjoy your stay!

About the Owner
We are a middle aged couple and wanted a getaway within a 2 hour drive of our home in Sheffield. Filey is a fabulous base for us to enjoy our love of walking.
We visit the apartment very often for a bit of rest and relaxation and have a lovely social life there especially now that we've got to know people who live there.
We have lovely caretakers who are based in Filey which means that if any unforeseen problems do arise during a guests stay we have someone on hand to get things sorted.

Large light and airy flat, nice feel, retains some period features. Comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The entrance to the flats is a little shabby and belies the interior, but lovely flat in a great position.

“Filey is a best base for exploring the NY coast and Moors. At the end of the Cleveland Way there are great walks to be had in and around Filey without the need of using There are lots of opportunities for fishing in the area and at high tide local fisherman can usually be seen sitting on the promenade trying to get a catch or two. Bempton Cliffs are just a 10 minute drive from Filey and is a haven for bird watching particularly during the nesting season. If you enjoy golfing there are lots of golf courses nearby including Filey's own course which is just a few minutes walk from the apartment.”
Activity and Interests
The beach is just a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Filey has a gorgeous six mile sandy beach where beach huts and deck chairs can be hired.
Most people arrive by car but there is a train station in Filey which has a service to Scarborough where you can access more routes including York.

To secure dates we require a deposit of £100 with the balance due to be paid 6 weeks prior arrival. We also request a refundable £100 bond with the final balance which is returned within two weeks of departure
We accept payment via Paypal but this will incur an additional 5% surcharge
Our changeover day is Friday but this is flexible dependent on season and availability. Guests can arrive any time between 3-5pm and must vacate no later than 10.00am on day of departure.

“The apartment is on a quiet street and our guests frequently comment on its great location for enjoying the beach, shops, park, pubs and restaurants and most times we visit after parking up we don't use the care again until we go home. We have our private parking at the rear of the building so there's never a problem of finding a space after a day out. We had wifi installed in 2013 and we find it very useful to research places to visit while we're there.”
