Overview

Property

Updated: 25-Nov-2016
Cottage in East Runton, Nr. Cromer, North Norfolk, England - Off Road Parking short walk to beach and amenities

Bay Tree cottage is 1980’s traditional brick and flint cottage right on the North Norfolk Coast. It has private enclosed gardens a west facing conservatory as well as ample off road parking for two cars. Sorry no Pets !

Situated in the traditional North Norfolk fishing Village of East Runton  a quaint well served village with many amenities and pretty flint cottages and buildings. The cottage is in a quiet location but benefits from being just minutes walk from both the beach where idylic summer breaks can be spent exploring the rock pools which become exposed at low tide and the village amenities, which include two pubs, a butcher and a village store (open long hours) a newsagents and  teashop.  There is a greek restaurant "Constantia"  and a Fish and Chip shop. The village has two large commons. The cottage is closest to Top Common which is complete with a flock of geese who are resident year round, and a play area with swings and slides for children. It is fully double glazed has gas central heating as well as an open fire making it an ideal getaway for those romantic winter breaks too.

Surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty, historic buildings and picturesque walks, including the Weavers Way and the North Norfolk Coastal Path. The cottage lies mid way between the seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham.

About the Owner

Hello We are Rob and Caroline Brownsell.

Rob is from an old East Runton fishing family who have lived here in the village for generations. Before he retired Rob followed generations of his family into the fishing business where he fished locally from the shore at East Runton for crabs and lobsters on his boat the "Alicia". He has many a story to tell!

Caroline originally from London settled and made her home here.

We have a 10 year old son who loves the beach and exploring the rock pools but especially loves crabbing!

Together we have tried to make Bay Tree Cottage a real home from home experience for our guests. So thank you all for your lovely comments and reviews.

We have had a fabulous stay in a beautiful cottage. Thank you for a fabulous warm welcome in this fantastic place. The welcome pack was brilliant and the other little touches were very much appreciated. - toys, wine, chocs etc. We will be telling our friends and family that this is the perfect place to stay.

Had a wonderful week- nice and relaxing cottage is beautiful; just exactly what we were hoping for. Would be happy to recommend you to our friends.

Had a wonderful stay in a lovely cottage. Super welcome pack, especially wine and chocs - best one we have ever had. Weather warm and sunny so made good use of the nice secluded garden and conservatory. Healthy walks book was consulted a lot and we did quite a few of them. Hope to be back.

Superb Property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Lovely little property in a quiet location on a nice street. Plenty of room, and very well equipped. It had a very nice feel to it, and was welcoming and cosy. You can walk to Cromer along the beach quite easily, for the Fish and Chips and Penny Arcades etc if you do not want to drive in, and can collect a few pebbles and shells along the way. Would definitely put it on our short list for the next time we visit Norfolk. Thanks again, it was just what we needed. Regards, Ben

Spacious, comfortable and nice location

  • 4 of 5

Very helpful owners, great location as it was within walking distance of Cromer. Lots of things to do nearby and eating places plentiful. Cinema has four screens so lots of films to go and see on a rainy day. Great place for bird-watching. Segway Safari at Go Ape near Thetford well worth the drive. Take a torch for walking along the road in the dark.

Could not have asked for more....

We had a very relaxing holiday in East Runton and Bay Tree Cottage is ideally situated to explore North Norfolk coast. The property is clean and spacious with everything provided for a comfortable stay. A warm, friendly welcome awaited us on arrival and the owner told us all about the cottage and local area. Additionally plenty of information about local walks and attractions were available in the cottage. A generous welcome pack completed our impression of a wonderful holiday cottage.
