This is a penthouse apartment with a spacious 190sqm. There are two bedrooms and a very large open plan living area.

The south facing balcony and mezzanine main bedroom enjoy views over the beautiful heated pool and landscaped grounds to the beach and ocean, the pool has a kids shallow area.

Relax by the pool, on the beach, in the apartment on the Italian leather sofas or on the balcony with a cocktail in the sun!

The island is hot all year round so you can always enjoy the pool or the miles of stunning beaches.

About Mr Sam Bainbridge

We are property developers in the UK and bought this apartment originally as we wanted to move to Cape Verde, we planned to live and find work there. However, by the time it was built time had moved on and we had started a family back home. We are now using this as a holiday home and hope you enjoy visiting there as much as we do!

This is one of the few developments on the island with a pool and it is right on the beach. The beach here is quieter then the rest of Santa Maria and the beach bar is one of the most relaxed places you can find on the island, the food is awesome too. If you want to be more active and get on the water then this is the place to be!

What makes this apartment unique

The luxury of space that is hard to find in holiday apartments. Pool with kids shallow area. Right on the beach with bar, loungers and watersports. A few minutes walk and you are in the centre of Santa Maria. There is a corner shop in the development which will have most of the things you need.

Notes on accommodation: The property is located on the top (2nd) floor, with an overall view of the pool and the beach and sea beyond. The complex has a large freshwater swimming pool complete with infant pool and shower that can be seen from the apartment balcony. A few steps from the apartment is the beach. As this is also our holiday home we have made sure it is a home from home with top quality furniture, Blue ray/DVD/CD player, iPod/Mp3 docking station, books, and 42 inch television with 11 satellite channels. There is also a hair-dryer. Weekly cleaning and a linen change are included in the price. High chair and cot are available at request. Outside: The Leme Bedje complex is in a idyllic position located directly opposite the Ponta Leme Bedje white sandy beach. The complex has a large heated freshwater swimming pool leading from the baby pool all the way around to deep end that is ideal for diving. There is plenty of poolside furniture and beautifully landscaped and well maintained gardens. The Leme Bedje beach, with warm shallow waters is an ideal spot for children and adults alike to swim. The beach is south facing and the waves are predominantly from the north and west. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included, as is cleaning. This is all done on a weekly basis. Other: Very large entrance hall has table and chairs which gets a great wifi if you need somewhere to check your emails. Shelves contain a variety of dvds, books and games. The balcony with bar stools and table is south facing so gets the sun all day!

New year stay

The apartment overall is spacious and clean .

Access to beach is good and would recommend the Columbus beach bar , with free internet !

Wouldn't stay at this time of year in future as the apartment behind had a party starting late afternoon and finishing at 6 am the following morning and then started again mid afternoon for new year celebrations but was so so noisy with windows closed you could hear it all over the apartment .

The weather was lovely and would recommend a visit .

Nice airy apartment

Pros and cons.

I liked it, architectural feel, the mezzanine bedroom is lovely and a great space except that it’s an accident waiting to happen as it has no ensuite and so you have to negotiate the tiled staircase to use the downstairs bathroom, which has no extractor fan at the moment.

A nice outlook over the pool. Pool was overdosed with chemicals for the last 4 days and unusable.

Kitchen was nice to use and had everything you needed.

Dining chairs were peeling but comfortable.

Nice tv and blue ray player, books and Dvds a plus.

Overall a nice stay, we were scammed at an older cash machine for £850 but the transaction was cancelled. All the restaurants of varying prices were good, loads of live music in the bars and restaurants.

Perfecr Getaway

This apartment has a perfect location, just to the quiet side of Town, but within easy walking distance of the centre. The facilities in the apartment were great and plenty of space, it has a great view out to the Ocean, overlooking the Pool. The two beach clubs in front of the apartments do great lunches and sundowners, and they both shut down at 2230, so no late night noise, The whole vibe is peaceful and quite, and its a place to go and relax. Just up the road 2min walk, there's Cape Fruit a great place to have breakfast and a fresh juice. All in all I would highly recommend to stay in this apartment, it has everything you need, and is situated in the best part of town.

Nice place, easy access, spacious and in a calm enviroment

Perfect stay

We have spent a fantastic holiday in Sal and had a wonderful stay at the apartment!

Communication with the owner Sam Bainbridge was excellent. Check-in/check-out and everything in between was easy and also well organised. We have been several times in Sal and this was definitely the best apartment complex. It is perfectly located at the beachside and close to the city centre of Santa Maria. The apartment is very spacious, clean, well equipped, light and airy.

We hope to come back soon. No stress Cabo Verde!

Tryggt och fint boende!

Vi är mycket nöjda med vårt val av semesterboende på Sal! Kommer absolut att boka framtida semestrar igen genom ownersdirect. Kontakten med ägaren har varit trevlig och mycket informativ! Vi fick mail med allt vi behövde veta! Det har gått som på räls; Vi blev mötta på flygplatsen och körda till lägenheten. Hjälp upp m bagaget. Rent och fint och fräscht i bäddarna och överallt. Mycket hög standard på möblemanget. Nyskick!! Söderläge, så sol på balkongen hela dagen! Lugn anläggning med en fin liten pool och vackra blommor runt. En bra affär med precis allt vi behövde i huset!! Gick ner och köpte färska frallor till frukosten medans vattnet kokade upp..Hade varit toppen med en hängmatta på balkongen, då krokarna finns där 😊 Området kändes tryggt och lugnt och ligger bra till. En familjär stämning rådde och grannar nickade och hälsade. Inget stort problem, men vill nämna att vi hörde hundar skälla på kvällarna och ibland nattetid. De hundar som vi såg sova på dagen, ofta i skuggan bakom solstolarna..de vaknade väl till liv framåt kvällen..

Angulo's Bar and Restaurant is the best spot to enjoy a sunrise and sunset drink with a no stress, chilled out ambiance, with sofas, sun beds, and hammocks for you to sunbathe on the beach or chill in the shade on what feels like your own section of private beach. There is also a surf shop and Wifi in the beach bar.


Sal's airport is a 15min taxi ride from the apartment costing only 15 Euros. Taxi's are always readily available at the airport and they cruise around town right past the apartment so it's no problem flagging one down for your return journey.


The apartment is located at the quiet (and cool/trendy) end of Santa Maria - Sal's main tourist town. It takes a few minutes walk to reach all the main bars and restaurants - a visit to the rooftop reggae bar is a must! Kids are welcome in all bars and restaurants.

Further Details:

Santa Maria is renowned world wide for its water sports, and is the home of Josh Angulo (who owns the beach bar next to the apartment!) a former world wave sailing champion.

The world surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing championships all hold events in Santa Maria (Punta Preta). Over recent years Sal has become a world favourite Kite surfing location.
