The main feature of its location is the fact that it is at walking distance to everywhere you might want to go: restaurants, supermarkets, bars, shops, beaches, bust stop, taxi rank, the Marina,...Cala d'Or ("Golden Cove" in Spanish) is a resort within the municipality of Santanyi, located in the southeast of Mallorca. Near this town you find the areas of Cala Ferrera, Cala Serena and Porto Petro.

This detached property is located in Cala Egos at just three minutes to the Supermarket and very near two beaches -Cala Egos and Es Forti-. The property is ideal for extended families with children. Up to 8 adults can stay in the property with a capcity of up to 10 people if there are young children in the group.

The property has two bathrooms and three terraces and a balcony. The house has its own set of 4 large sunloungers and 4 smaller lighter ones that can be easily moved to the roof top terrace.

The Marina is at just 10 to 15 minutes walk. Car hire is not necessary unless you are travelling between November and the end of March/beginning of April.

We are a family from Malaga that travelled on holidays to Cala d'or two years ago and felt in love with the area, with its marina and with the nature of the Mondrago Park and the beaches in the area. We saw this property that was not yet finished and decided to invest on it. We stay in Cala d'or several weeks during the summer in a property close to this one

The villa was perfect for our group with 2 bedrooms downstairs for family with youngest children and 3 bedrooms upstairs. Kitchen was well equipped and has a 3 drawer freezer, excellent for ice lollies and ice cubes.

Andres was exceptionally helpful before and during our visit, providing us with lots of useful information. He recommended PMI Taxis for our transfer was completely stress fee and a lot cheaper than others.

With 4 young children we used the pool a lot which they loved, the only thing that concerned us that it is very deep 1.8 metres so children had to wear arm bands at all times.

The resort is very quiet but has plenty of restaurants and shops close by, and the supermarket is 2 minute walk. We walked to the harbour few times, it's beautiful and the food is excellent.

Overall a lovely holiday and would recommend to friends and family. Thank you Andres.

Great Villa In A Perfect Location

Andres, the property manager, was excellent and extremely helpful, both before and during the holiday. He is really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was there to greet us and show us around the property.

The villa is lovely, it is on a complex of 10 villas, and the villa we stayed in shares a pool with two other villas. The pool was usually fairly empty and was mainly used by the families with their children.

As we were a family of adults, we tended to use the roof terrace a lot, as it gets the sun all day and was fairly private and a great place to have a drink and enjoy the sunshine.

The villa was lovely and clean and has everything you need.

Location wise, the villa is situated perfectly. Just a minutes walk from a large supermarket, and around the same to the resort centre with plenty of restaurants and a few bars.

The marina is around 15 minutes walk away and Cala D'or is about a 30 minute walk, or around 6 euros in a taxi.

For those arranging a shuttle transfer to/from the airport, as they do not drop off at private residences, you can use the address of the hotel 'Ona Cala Del Mar'. This hotel is next to the supermarket and then it's literally just a minutes walk opposite the supermarket to arrive at the villa.

We found this hotel useful when ordering taxis as well to return from Cala d'or, as all the drivers knew where it was and it was a lot easier than having to explain a residential address.

All in all we had a fantastic time and would definitely return in the future (and are possibly looking at doing so next year!)

Perfect villa in a lovely resort!

The villa manager Andres, who was very helpful, greeted us upon arrival and showed us round the villa. It was clean, spacious enough for the 8 of us and very well equipped. The pool area was lovely and we could see it from the villa garden, so could keep an eye on the children all the time. The larger pool is quite deep, so non swimmers would need to be supervised, but it was never crowded at all. The small pool is also perfect for younger children and was also never crowded. It is only a very short walk to the resort centre, and the supermarket is practically across the road too. There are also two beaches within short walking distance of the villa. The marina is well worth a walk and there is a cut through which takes about 15 mins. It doesn't cost very much in a taxi either. Overall, a fantastic week was had at this villa and we would definitely book here again if we ever travel back to Cala D'or! Thanks Andres!

Gorgeous Villa, very family friendly!

This was the first time we had booked through Owners Direct and we were not disappointed. The villa manager Andres was very helpful, helping us with transfer information, answering all of our (many) questions and even checking if the supermarket would be open on Good Friday.

When we arrived, Andres met us right outside the property within a few minutes and gave us the tour. Seeing we were English and had small children, he placed us in the villa with English satellite TV and the one closest to the childrens pool. This meant that even from the lounge area of the villa, we could see the children playing. Such a thoughtful thing to do and made our lives much easier for the week we were there.

The villa was gorgeous, clean, tidy and exactly as depicted in the description and pictures. There were 2 downstairs bedrooms which suited the grandparents whilst we took the 3 upstairs bedrooms with the children. The bathrooms were immaculate with plenty of towels, the bedrooms were lovely with good pillows and mattresses and enough extra bedding for the cooler nights.

The kitchen was well furnished, with a good supply of utensils and crockery for a large family. The dining table was easily large enough to seat 8. The washing machine worked well with a washing line for drying everything outside.

The two pools were lovely, if a little chilly for the adults (it was only April). The temperature didnt stop the children playing in the pools every day though! The terrace area overlooked the pool making it easy to relax in the sun whilst keeping an eye on the kids. The barbecue outside was great and the roof terrace was great for your morning coffee and breakfast.

The villa was right opposite the supermarket and only a 5 minute walk to several bars, restaurants and stalls selling tourist items. The beach was a 10 minute walk and not as busy as the main beach in Cala D'or. There was a regular mini train which stopped outside the supermarket if you wanted to catch it to go further afield to Cala D'or. We did this a few times to save our legs and it was very reasonably priced.

We ate out most days and particularly enjoyed the Sunday lunch at Molly's Irish Bistro, a 10 minute walk away. Lunch overlooking the harbour at the Jolly Roger was lovely and the Western Steakhouse rib night was fab!

I would definitely recommend this villa to families in particular, as it is away from the more tourist centres yet still close enough to enjoy the amenities.

Excellent week in a wonderfull place!!

A family of four adults have spent a week in October.

On arrival Andres was waiting, a wonderful man, very friendly and attentive to their customers, the helped us in everything we need, so our opinion of him is perfect.

The stay has been wonderful, excellent weather and perfect location with a supermarket 50 meters and 200 meters wide boulevard with bars, pubs, restaurants, shops, car rental and paddle courts.

The villa is perfect, fully equipped and air conditioning throughout the house has 5 spacious rooms with wardrobes, 2 large bathrooms with bath, living room kitchen spacious and very well equipped, a large table, 2 sofas and satellite TV. It also has 2 terraces with tables and chairs, sun roof and large garden with hammocks and barbecue.

It also has two swimming pools, one large with a nice waterfall and a small for children.

Between 5 and 10 minutes walk you can enjoy numerous coves with white sand and crystal clear water and "Es Forti". Among the creeks are, Cala D'Or, Cala Es Forti, Cala Egos .... And with a ride on car, motorcycle or bicycle can enjoy the beach of Es Trenc and the natural landscape of Mondrago with several coves (S 'Amarador).

Also you can enjoy Porto Petro, Cala D'Or Marina, Palma de Mallorca, Valldemossa, Deia, Soller, Port de Andratx, Port San Adriano, Alcudia ....

Bra boende med mysig trädgård och bra läge!

Detta boende kan rekommenderas! Mysig trädgård med solstolar, grill, underbar takterrass och gemensam pool. Bra läge i Cala D'or. Standarden invändigt är helt ok. Andres är fantastisk som hyresvärd, trevlig och hjälpsam.

From the Owner

The location and the complex were the main reason for buying this property. The location is at walking distance from the Marina and two beaches like Es Forti and Cala Egos. There is a good supermarket two minutes walk from the house. The area is quiet and very nice and far away from the any concentration of big hotels. The fishing port of Porto Petro and the Mondrago Natural Park are also very close.

There are festivals throughout the year in small towns of Mallorca.


Just 10 minutes walk from the Marina and just 200 meters from the beach that is about 3-4 minutes walk: Cala Egos, The area is surrounded by many coves and beaches and several ports like Porto Petro. Beaches nearby are: Cala Egos and Es Forti. 5 minutes drive from the most beautiful natural park on the island: Cala Mondrago.


60 km from Palma Airport 50 minutes drive. Car hire is not essential as the area has everything you need. You will have to organise a transfer or if you want to save some money you can book a shuttle service. The taxi costs about between 70 to 110 euros depending on PAX. The house is at walking distance from beaches, supermarket, restaurants and bars. The taxi rank is 50 meters from the house. There is also a bus stop to go to the Mondrago Natural Park and to the Village of Santanyi.


Palma Airport - Cala D'Or fifty minutes.

Cala d'Or Marina-10 minutes walk

Santanyi-15 minutes drive on the car or bus

Mondrago-5 minutes drive on the car or bus

The complex is very quiet Ibizan design, has everything you need. The property is at just a fews minutes walk to the beach the Marina and supermarkets. Around there are several coves and several ports. There is a natural park -Mondrago- a few minutes drive where you can go hiking etc. Outside: House has a small private garden and in turn there is a large community garden. It has two pools, one for children with lighting that changes color at night and a large swimming pool with a waterfall and night lighting. Work has stairs for easy access to the pool. Original design. On both sides of the development there are two green areas cleared the front with a large grove. Utility Room: Large laundry room with boiler and washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house is rented with sets of towels and sheets and the house is cleaned before and after custommers arrive. Daily Cleaning is not included but can be arranged on request
