Interesting period cottage in good location for exploring Devon.

On the whole well presented small cottage.

One bedroom very tiny.

A few things need some attention, (note left for the owner ) . We enjoyed our stay but wouldn't want to spend too long indoors as downstairs is cold and dark.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. There is a storage heater as well as a large gas fire in the lounge so I don't understand why you were cold. As for the little bedroom I only advertIse and charge for a 2 bedroom cottage and the information states there is an additional room which is very small only suitable for a child.

Very clean and homely but not really suitable for people with mobility issues due to the very steep stairs.

Owner's Response: Sorry that you had difficulties with the stairs. There is a stair rail to hold on to. Character cottages do tend to have steeper stairs. Glad that you found the cottage clean And comfortable.

Small but perfectly formed in a great location.

The cottage was perfect for our needs - right in the middle of Honiton, close to The Holt and a great selection of takeaways. The off road parking was really convenient and the rooms were comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Great Place

Required accommodation for myself & 2 colleagues whilst working away for 11 days. Ideally situated for walking into town with shops/restaurants/supermarkets close by!...off road parking is available opposite, however I/we managed to park on the road without a problem, although can get a little busy between 5-7pm most nights. Reading previous comments about beds, we all slept well and found the beds to be comfortable. The owner provided great instructions on how to find the cottage and was willing to answer any questions. Overall our stay was pleasant and would definitely look to book again whether it be for work or a weekend break.

Enjoyable cottage holiday

This comfortable cosy cottage was lovely to stay in. It had everything we needed for our stay. There are three bedrooms so it can sleep 5 people with no problems. Even though it is on the main road I didn't really hear much traffic. Is is placed ideally for walking into town where there are lots of places to eat. The car park space that comes with the cottage was very convenient as it was just across the road. This cottage brought back happy memories as it reminded me of my youth and going back to visit my family. The owner is very friendly, helpful and was willing to answer all my questions. I would recommend this cottage to my family, friends and anyone else thinking of staying in Honiton.

Sidmouth is a 20 minute drive, this is a large beach with sand and stones. There is a long promenade and is conveniently situated for the town which has a lovely old fashioned cinema.

Exmouth is a 30 minute drive and is a very family friendly sandy beach. This resort also has crazy golf, children’s boating lake and play area.


Road: Honiton lies on the main A30/A303 road from London, 14 miles east of Exeter.

Rail: Honiton and Feniton main line London (water loo) to Exeter.

Coach:National express from Exeter to London Victoria.

Air:Exeter International Airport- 14 miles.
