Overview

Property

Updated: 09-Dec-2016
Mews House in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, North Wales - In a Quiet Residential Location, Just 5 Minutes Walk To The Blue Flag Beach And Amenities

Our lovely two bedroom mews house is situated just off the main Trearddur Bay road on Holy Island and once formed part of the Trearddur Bay Preparatory school. The open plan downstairs layout is neutrally decorated and feels light and airy with soft furnishings providing a welcome space to relax and unwind. There are two bedrooms upstairs (the master with a seaview) separated by a recently installed contemporary shower room.

The house provides the best of both worlds, a quiet residential location, yet with blue flag beaches, pubs, restaurants, cafes and local shops just around the corner. For those days when you want to explore this beautiful island, the A55 expressway is minutes away and takes you to the wide variety of attractions Anglesey has to offer whilst the port of Holyhead provides easy access to Ireland and boasts a retail park including a 24hr supermarket.

Outside, there are two dedicated parking spaces provided, ideal if you wish to bring a boat or have two cars in the party. There are two sunny terraces and a patio area with charcoal barbeque at the end of the enclosed lawned garden. A cycle rack is provided for those wishing to explore the area on two wheels.

BT fibre optic broadband and a library of books and dvd's are also available for you to use with our compliments.

About the Owner

We don't enjoy hustle and bustle, and Anglesey delivers. After first visiting here over 25 years ago, we soon realised this was the place for us and have been bringing our children here ever since. Back then we used to enjoy week-ends camping with friends, relaxing with our boats and barbecues at the ready. These days, the boats and barbecues still feature heavily but the tent isn't quite so appealing!

Ideal

This house is ideally situated in a quiet mews, 10 minutes stroll from beautiful Trearddur Bay. The house itself is very clean and comfortable, with a lovely seaside theme, comfy beds and a great shower. It is so well equipped that I can't think of anything you might need that hasn't been provided. The garden is a nice feature, as are the front and back furnished terraced areas. A warm welcome from the owners and a little basket of goodies await you on arrival, you can tell that they are very proud of the house and rightly so. We enjoyed staying here very much and felt right at home.

We had wonderful weather, plenty of days on the beautiful beaches but for a change, we can recommend a day trip to Dublin from Holyhead Port, South Stack Lighthouse or the Anglesey Sea Zoo

Everything that you could want for a great holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have had a more friendly welcome at the start of our holiday. The owners, Sarah and Paul, were there to meet us and quickly explained everything that we needed to know about the house and area. The house has a modern interior and is very comfortable and well maintained. Everything for a home from home holiday is provided with the addition of a lovely welcome pack of essential goodies plus treats!

The beach and village are only a few minutes walk away and there are several good places to eat. There are lots of thing to do and places to see in Anglesey and I would happily recommend this holiday cottage to couples and families alike.

Fantastic holiday would definitely recommend

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely welcoming from Sarah and Paul. Such a lovely home which has everything you need. Also the house was a lot closer to the beach and pubs than what we thought. We stayed here for 7 nights and everyday we was there it was wonderful weather. Would highly recommend this property. And we are looking to book for next year too.

Excellent well worth staying

  • 5 of 5

This house was ideally situated, close to the beach with well documented walks / bike rides close at hand. Very clean and had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing week. Though the weather was changeable the house was warm and welcoming, all mod cons so no wet clothes lying around. Beautiful garden to the rear to sit is when the sun did shine along with a lovely sitting area at the front of the property, which means you could relax in the sun all day if you were inclined to do so. Brilliant stay, we worth it.

Lovely mews house

  • 5 of 5

Recently returned from a week long stay in this lovely mews house. The property is bright, modern, spotlessly clean and in a lovely location. It had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Would not hesitate to return!

Location

From the Owner

The minute you cross the Menai Straits you feel like you are on holiday... Over the years, we have explored many areas of Anglesey but have always returned to Trearddur Bay. Apart from being lovely and quiet, it's a friendly place and we are so pleased to have a holiday home here. It's easy to reach (just an hour and a half from Chester) and ideally located with easy access to the Island and all it has to offer.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Just a 5 minute walk and you will arrive at the large blue flag sandy beach of Trearddur Bay, a wide stretch of sand with rockpools to explore as well as excellent boating and watersports facilities. Getting here couldn't be easier. By car, it's less than 5 minutes from the A55 expressway, by train it's just 2 miles from the port of Holyhead. A car is not essential unless you plan to explore the Island!
