Mews House in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, North Wales - In a Quiet Residential Location, Just 5 Minutes Walk To The Blue Flag Beach And Amenities

Our lovely two bedroom mews house is situated just off the main Trearddur Bay road on Holy Island and once formed part of the Trearddur Bay Preparatory school. The open plan downstairs layout is neutrally decorated and feels light and airy with soft furnishings providing a welcome space to relax and unwind. There are two bedrooms upstairs (the master with a seaview) separated by a recently installed contemporary shower room.

The house provides the best of both worlds, a quiet residential location, yet with blue flag beaches, pubs, restaurants, cafes and local shops just around the corner. For those days when you want to explore this beautiful island, the A55 expressway is minutes away and takes you to the wide variety of attractions Anglesey has to offer whilst the port of Holyhead provides easy access to Ireland and boasts a retail park including a 24hr supermarket.

Outside, there are two dedicated parking spaces provided, ideal if you wish to bring a boat or have two cars in the party. There are two sunny terraces and a patio area with charcoal barbeque at the end of the enclosed lawned garden. A cycle rack is provided for those wishing to explore the area on two wheels.

BT fibre optic broadband and a library of books and dvd's are also available for you to use with our compliments.

About Sarah

We don't enjoy hustle and bustle, and Anglesey delivers. After first visiting here over 25 years ago, we soon realised this was the place for us and have been bringing our children here ever since. Back then we used to enjoy week-ends camping with friends, relaxing with our boats and barbecues at the ready. These days, the boats and barbecues still feature heavily but the tent isn't quite so appealing!

Why Sarah chose Anglesey

The minute you cross the Menai Straits you feel like you are on holiday... Over the years, we have explored many areas of Anglesey but have always returned to Trearddur Bay. Apart from being lovely and quiet, it's a friendly place and we are so pleased to have a holiday home here. It's easy to reach (just an hour and a half from Chester) and ideally located with easy access to the Island and all it has to offer.

Notes:
In the understairs cupboard we have provided a few extras. A hoover, iron, ironing board, clothes airer, pegs and a couple of umbrellas (just in case!). There's also a picnic blanket and first aid kit. It's useful extra storage space too.

We arrived at Treaddur Bay to be greeted by the owners and a welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk, bread etc.. Wine and Flowers!) leaving instructions were given as was a whistle stop guide to the Island and surrounding area. The mews house itself is bigger than we expected, beautifully decorated, well equipped and very clean. The two parking spaces are great, although we only needed one and the house was fairly quiet (a few odd noises from the parrot next door, but nothing much!). Treaddur Bay is a lovely area, the beach a five minute walk away, ten for us with a three year old! And a great beach it is, fab to walk on, body board, paddle, rock pool, and explore. Enough places to eat out and supermarkets are a few minutes drive away. We would highly recommend staying here! And the ice creams at The Sea Shanty Cafe!!.

Very nicely decorated and provisioned small terrace house

The property is in a very quiet part of Trearddur bay but only 5 minutes walk from the beach. It is obvious that Sarah and Paul have spent a lot of time and money in making it a bolt hole for rest and relaxation. When we arrived Paul and Sarah were there to greet as was a welcome pack with goodies. We enjoyed our time there and would be very happy to return one day. This is our first time staying on Anglesey but certainly not our last. Jean and Rob

Location

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Just a 5 minute walk and you will arrive at the large blue flag sandy beach of Trearddur Bay, a wide stretch of sand with rockpools to explore as well as excellent boating and watersports facilities. If you prefer, explore further along the coastline to Porth Dafarch, another blue flag beach and just 5 minutes by car.

Travel:

Getting here couldn't be easier. By car, it's less than 5 minutes from the A55 expressway, by train it's just 2 miles from the port of Holyhead. A car is not essential unless you plan to explore the Island!

Distances:

Trearddur Bay Beach and amenities - 5 minute walk

Anglesey Coastal path - 5 minute walk

South Stack lighthouse RSPB visitor centre, cafe and Elin's Tower Seabird Centre - less than 10 minutes by car along the coast.

Holyhead Port & Railway Station - 2 miles

Changeover is a Saturday but we will try to accommodate other days depending on bookings and availability, please send an enquiry and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

The property will be available after 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Notes on prices:
All prices regardless of length of stay include gas and electricity, beds made up for arrival, towels (sorry, not beach towels) and tea towels. There's also a welcome pack including everything you need to make a hot or cold drink and a bite to eat plus cleaning products and toiletries.

Short breaks are available for a minimum of 3 days.
The minimum rental cost for 3 days is £195
