A cluster of 3 beautifully converted cottages on a working fruit farm on the edge of the lovely village of Sutton Valance which is located in the heart of Kent with excellent road and rail access to all of Kent's attractions as well as Central London and day trips to France.

The properties also offer ample off-road parking.

We offer accommodation for 2, 4, 6 or up to 10 people if you combine D'Arcy Spice and Innishfree. Access is through an adjoining door and by putting the dining tables together you can enjoy 'French Style' family meals.

D'Arcy Spice:Sitting/Dining/Kitchen has laminate flooring, large picture window lovely vaulted ceilings creating a real feeling of space. In the Sitting Room Area there are two very comfortable sofas-one converts into a high quality double sofabed the other has a chaise lounge section. 42'HDTV/Freeview,DVD,CD Player with iPod dock bookcase stocked with games and books. French doors give direct access to the decked verandah overlooking the farmyard and adjacent buildings. There is also a large beech dining table and six chairs next to the Kitchen Area.

The kitchen is very well equipped including electric oven, hob and extractor hood, microwave, larder fridge,freezer,washer/dryer

Bedroom1 has a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and door to a lovely En-Suite Shower Room with corner shower, heated towel rail, washbasin and w.c

Bedroom2 has twin beds, bedside cabinets and hooks with padded hangers.

Eine schöne Unterkunft

Das Haus ist sehr hübsch und zweckmäßig eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man mit einer 5-köpfigen Familie braucht: zwei Duschbäder, eine großzügige, voll ausgestattete Wohnküche mit Smart TV, ein Elternschlafzimmer und ein recht kleines Kinder-Schlafzimmer sowie ein ausklappbares Sofabett im Wohnzimmer. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Unsere Kinder waren von den Pferden und dem Hund des sympathischen Vermieters sehr begeistert.

Für Ausflüge nach London können wir dem Zug ab Headcorn sehr empfehlen. Stressfreier und preiswerter geht es mit dem eigenen Auto sicher nicht.

FORMIDABLE

Le propriétaire est vraiment adorable, il parle très bien français, il nous a donné de très bons conseils de visite. Il est très serviable (d'ailleurs tous les anglais que nous avons rencontrés ont été très serviables !!)

La location est très agréable et spacieuse (sauf la chambre des enfants qui est un peu petite mais en même temps nous n'étions pas là pour rester dans nos chambres !), très pratiques les 2 salles de bains

La location est située dans la magnifique campagne anglaise mais Londres est à 1 heure de train à partir de la gare de Headcorn petit village à côté de Sutton Valence

Bref c'était génial et nous avons hâte d'y retourner

The 3 properties are non smoking.

Children are welcome and cots and high chairs can be supplied.

Please advise any special needs in advance.

All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.

The owners are dog friendly and you maybe welcomed first by their very sociable Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer but would only want one visiting dog at a time.

Young children and pets must be supervised at all times. The verandah areas are gated.

The properties were all converted in 2013 and will be available from May except The Studio which will be available one month later.

If you visit at the right time fresh raspberries and blackberries can be guaranteed.

The properties have well stocked book cases and a good supply of games.

  • Notes on accommodation: Formerly an apple,but now soft fruit farm D’Arcy Spice is named after a lovely old apple variety and has a wonderful big open plan area perfect for relaxing or having fun family meals.Innishfree is named after a much loved family horse and has a comfortable open plan living area.The Studio offers a cosy welcoming home with a wood stove and gas CH. The owners live in the farmhouse where they keep their gorgeous S.American horses. Being in the heart of Kent there are myriads of attractions. Few villages can boast 3 pubs and a ruined 11C castle just a short walk away. Whether you fancy golf,visiting NT properties,walks or the beach this is the perfect base. Medieval Rye,Ancient Canterbury and Rochester,Tenterden and its steam railway, Bluewater shopping complex are easy to access. Just 5 mins by car is Headcorn with its shops and restaurants and a train station just 56 minutes from Central London. From nearby Ashford Intl station or the Channel Tunnel France is less than an hour away. Outside: D'Arcy Spice and Innishfree are set on a sun trapped south facing decked verandah, with outside table,chairs and sunshade. This is partitioned into two but can be used as one large outside area. Loan of a gas barbecue can be arranged. All of the properties are positioned towards the end of a long farm drive. At the top of the farm there are beautiful panoramic views over the Weald of Kent.
