About the property

Cottage in Trellech, Nr. Monmouth, Monmouthshire, Wales - Peaceful Location, Enclosed Garden, Spectacular Views And Beautiful Walks Form Your Back Door

Bronte's Cottage is a modern, spacious, stylish and comfortable cottage snuggled into a cosey, private spot on an equestrian farm in the centre of the historic village of Trellech 5 miles from Monmouth. This is the perfect place to sit back and relax, or to get out and about exploring everything that this wonderful area has to offer. The cottage benefits from stunning views across the fields where you can see horses, donkey, sheep and chickens beyond your very spacious enclosed, secure garden. Reviews so far compliment the comfort of the cottage, and that it is of a high standard. I am delighted to add, that although only launched May 2013 I have enjoyed residents returning many times which speaks for itself. Enjoy walks in the neighbouring woodland. There is direct access to footpaths on the farm. Brontes cottage is 200 yards from the village shop, the award winning local dog friendly pub and a few minutes walk from the start of the Whitestone, Whitebrook and the Wye Tread and Trot trail.

Inside there is a very large fully equipped modern kitchen, a downstairs shower room and very spacious lounge dining area with kingsized sofa bed. There are double patio doors off the lounge leading to the outside seating area.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom has one superking bed and an ensuite comprising a bath with shower over, sink and WC.

Guests tell me time again how tranquil and peaceful the cottage is, also, very warm inside in winter.

Your private driveway will park three cars (maybe more depending on size)

There is a patio area to sit and enjoy the views.

Simply drive into your own private driveway, close the high solid gates behind you, open the keysafe, let yourself in, theres welsh goodies for you on arrival and lock the world behind you.

Pet friendly by prior arrangement

Lovely cottage-really comfortable and to a high standard, thank you for the welcome basket a lovely start to our holiday. Aswell as the hens and bazil we heard a cuckoo, first one in maybe forty years. Further afield while canoeing on the wye in the sun, very relaxing, we saw quite a few Kingfishers, one being only 6 feet away on a branch. really nice break. Sue and Mel ,Leicestershire.

Fantastic stay in the country!

  • 5 of 5

A great host, great accommodation in a beautifull country setting!

Just 5 miles from the town of Monmouth and many other historical locations and sites nearby.

A small village with lots of history, a church and one very special pub, The Lion. The customers make you feel very welcome and the food and staff are great.

Emma, the cottage owner is special and makes sure you have everything you need and will find or direct you to anything you don't have but need.

Very highly recommended!

Derek and Ryder Jones.

Lovely cottage. Friendly locals

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was lovely. It was very well laid out and so efficiently heated that we had to turn the heating off except for a quick warm up in the evening. We ate all of the naughty cakes that Emma left in the kitchen. The pub sold excellent beer according to my husband and the locals were welcoming and chatty.

Great cottage for a peaceful break!

  • 5 of 5

Emma was a great host, leaving a selection of Welsh treats to greet us, and ensuring basics like coffee and tea were available, as well as decaf options and peppermint tea too! The wi-fi was excellent (much faster than ours at home!), as was the heating which kept us nice and warm in December. We were thoroughly entertained by the cockerel who sounds a bit like his batteries are running low! The cottage was easy to find and access with Emma's instructions and Emma was a very respectful host, leaving us to ourselves. Everything was clean and tidy, and there's a great selection of games, books and DVDs to occupy you if the weather isn't great. The cherry on the top of the cake was the Christmas tree set up in the lounge (we were there 20th-22nd Dec) which was an unexpected treat! Would recommend Brontes Cottage and we hope to return some point this year too.
