Comfortably sleeps up to 5 people in two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, living area with amazing views, blacony, TV and WiFi.

You also have the use of a laundry room, ski locker, sauna and table tennis room on the lower ground floor.

We have two different properties available to rent in Verbier. Both are in the same building.

Our 2nd floor Triple aspect apartment and 4th floor studio can be found in a prime location in Verbier just 2 minute flat walk to Medran and everything you else you need. You are close enough to the hustle and bustle of the town with shops, pubs and restaurants all within easy reach.

The apartment can accommodate up to five people comfortably and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.

The studio has a kitchen area, bathroom, balcony, TV and WiFi.

Both have use of a laundry room, sauna, table tennis table and ski locker on the ground floor.

My wife and I have been skiing and living in Verbier for best part 40 years. We often take our four sons with us also.

Why Simon ENGLANDER chose 4 Valleys

We first skied in Verbier 40 years ago and bought the chalet approximately 30 years ago. We were taken aback by the incredible views of the mountains as well as its vibrant nightlife, although at night you’ll never be disturbed by any party noise.

What makes this apartment unique

We love to be able to put our skis on outside the chalet and ski down to the bus stop. Also, we are surrounded by breathtaking, snow covered mountains whilst enjoying the stillness at night and are still be so close to the hustle and bustle of all that is going on down in the village with bars, restaurants and night clubs.

No room here, but: There is a new lift pass system that no one seems to know about. I thinks its Ski Club or similar. You pay for the passcard about CHF 30 or so and then its like pay as you go. Also some days are half price (think Wednesday). So no pressure to Ski if White Out, 2 windy (lift closure) or 2 much snow (like early Dec 2012 - lift closure). If u have already bought a week's pass then its hassle to get a credit (not sure they do it anyway) and my Boys worked out it was cheaper. Also no queues to buy lift pass (small b4 Xmas) if your Group policy is day passes. Also no hassle if for the most part you go to Verbier area then want 4 Valleys (reflected in the price of 8 day pass) but not the Club Pass! Also just skiing Savoleyres is cheaper and will be reflected in the Club price, but NOT the 8 day pass.

Booking Notes:
Verbier is not cheap - but it need not be expensive either - if you shop carefully, look at the Ski- Club Pass System, be careful what restaurants you eat in, Verbier is great place to be - it has all the charm of a small Village - but is a giant resort as far as the skiing is concern - don’t any one tell you that the resort is for advanced skiers only , it's not - it is suitable for all levels , young and old.. Have fun!

Nearest Airport : Geneva at 161 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Pub Mont Fort at 50 Metres Nearest Golf : La Rouge at 1 Kilometres Nearest Train : Le Chable at 9.6 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : E27 at 15.2 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Fer a Cheval at 45 Metres Nearest Ski : Across the Road at 20 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

If you plan to drive then check the route first with Google Maps as there are new roads and the route it suggests IS the fastest and your GPS might not take you the right way. If u fly then use Alpybus or Alpine Express to get you to Verbs. The normal drop-off is at Brunet Bus stop - 10 min walk to apartment. Train is very pretty esp if snow around and is about the same price. Don't forget the bubble from Le Chable shuts early so make sure you don't miss it o/w there is a bus I think or taxi.

Travel:

Verbier Can be accessed by Car from the UK using Euro Tunnel or the Ferry crossings and the time from Calais to Verbier is often as little as 8 hours by car.

Geneva or Sion Airports service Verbier and the distance from Geneva is only 160 kms and takes less than two hours. Sion is serviced by City Airport in London and is only about an hour away , about 60 odd kms.

Further Details:

Wet clothes are a nightmare. Solution is easy. In front door. Down one flight stairs or lift and leave in laundry room on racks to dry. No one else ever seems to do it other than us. Then out the two doors and up 2 floors to apartment door (in lift of course) . Going to and from apartment to laundry is so so easy and often much quicker than a 2 / 3 story house. With the sauna, laundry, table tennis room, ski-locker and cave its like having 40m2 more "useful" living space. Very few apartments in Verbier have this esp the newer ones as floor space is such a premium for the newer ones. Remember we have re-furbed to a ***** standard.

The Jumbo In-Ground 5.000 litre waste bins are 5 seconds across road and so please take rubbish out daily and don't leave outside apartment.

When making your decision where to stay this coming season please, please bear in mind what a difference a triple aspect apartment makes - views and windows/door on three sides of the apartment and balconies on East and South aspects. I can't emphasise enough what a difference it makes for the main living space to have light coming in (and views) from the LHS and the front of the apartment (see the images). You immediately have the impression (illusion?) of a small Chalet and not an apartment with this aspect and light.

And for those of you that think Verbier (CHF) is expensive - think again: Beers in the Pub (Mont Fort - 2 mins walk away) are half price in happy hour and just CHF 7 in peak. U can buy 24 really great Gralsberg (yes with a G at 5.2%) beers for about CHF 11 in Denner. Set back next to the Farm. They also do cuts of meat sometimes near half of Migros. Beers in the mountains are just CHF 8 and in the Carlsberg (new in Mountain below Atelas) a Stein is just CHF 13.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Accommodation is classified by the location de L'AGIV as four stars - the building is a relatively old building as many of the more central buildings are. It has recently been fitted with a new roof and the outside of the building has been completely renovated. The apartment itself has very recently been completely renovated to include solid "old" oak wooden floors through out, new wiring and appliances and is furnished to a very high standard. There is a games console and HD display monitor in the second bedroom. The apartment is on the second floor and is exceptionally bright and light as the apartment is triple aspect with light coming in through windows (next to dining table and far left corner window) and balcony doors (Master Bedroom and Kitchen) down the East side of the apartment. To the rear of the apartment more light enters via the second bedroom and the master bathroom. There is a second shower room and a toilet opposite the master bathroom. Utility Room: Industrial Strength Professional Miele Washing Machine Industrial Strength Professional Miele Washing Condenser Tumble Dryer Clothes Drying Line Sink Clothes Rack Shoe Polisher Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment is Cleaned Once Per week by agreement Linen and Towels Provided - Towels may be washed in Laundry Room if Necessary Other: On the lower ground floor we have a communal table tennis room, sauna and laundry
